1st Claela Lets Drink A Toast (Mrs P & Miss C Mcgregor)

A very smart 10-months-old puppy with lots to like about him. His head is well made, he has a lovely dark eye and good ears, should finish with a good masculine expression. Shoulders are well laid back and good front assembly on him, stands on well boned, straight legs. Body of balanced proportions with well-made hind quarters. He moved out very well for his age.

2nd Claela Sweet Dreams (Mr C, Mrs L & Miss S Brown)

Another smart puppy, not as confident as the winner at the moment, but has bags of potential about him. I liked his head piece, good shape and size for his age with a super dark eye. Good overall construction. Needs to find his feet on the move to complete the picture but should do well when he does.

1st Soufriere Paserelle Bateau (Mrs S Marshall)

This young man was my best puppy last time I judged, so was pleased to see how he is developing. Smart expression on this chap with a dark eye, would like a little more width in skull. Body is well made throughout. Shoulders are well laid back and good front assembly on him, stands on well boned, straight legs. Body of balanced proportions with well-made hind quarters. He moved out very well especially in profile.

1st Ch Claela You and I Are A Team (Mrs P & Miss C Mcgregor)

I thought this chap was very smart, he won under me last time when just a youngster and is now the finished article. He is balanced with a masculine head and expression enhanced by a lovely dark eye. Ears well set, fine and of good length. Strong neck into well laid shoulders. Stands on good straight legs and good well-padded feet. Body of good proportions, ribs well back and firm in loin, held his topline throughout. Muscular hindquarters, stifles moderately bent. Moved out well with a good even gait, reaching well forward. Super coat of correct texture. My pleasure to award him Best Dog.

2nd Ch/ir Ch Tarmachan Ice Cool (Mr R & Mr A R Bailey & Yates)

Another smart dog with a lot to like about him, he moved out very well in profile but not quite as fluid as the winner fore and aft. Masculine head and expression, decent lay back of shoulder, just a shade untidy in elbow. Firm in topline and in loin. Good tail set and carriage. Reserve Best Dog.

Three very promising youngsters in this class.

1st Wilmit Mirabelle for Boneveon (Mrs Y & Mr R Moult & Bailey)

She is feminine in head, which is developing nicely and of good proportions, good furnishings. Decent angles front and rear. Good through the body with ribs well back and into well-made quarters with moderately bent stifles. Super coat in harsh condition. Did enough on the move to take the class but needs to settle which she will do as she learns her job. Should have a bright future ahead of her. Pleased to award her Best Puppy.

2nd Claela Sweet Afton at Arona (Mrs P & Miss C Mcgregor)

Super lady full of type who pushed the winner very close. Another that needs to find her feet on the move. Head of good proportions, needs to break a little. Good through the neck, shoulder well set, plenty of depth in chest for her age. Good in body, ribs well back and well-made quarters. As with the winner should have a bright future ahead of her.

3rd Claela Bonny at Morn (Ms Dk & Ms Sj Altman & Hamlyn)

1st Claela Bonny at Morn (Ms Dk & Ms Sj Altman & Hamlyn)

She has a good headpiece which has good furnishings. Good reach of neck into well laid shoulders. Stands on good legs and feet, body well made, good depth of chest and well ribbed back. Stood third in the puppy class, as just not as together as the two ahead of her, in this class was much more fluid on the move.

1st Soufriere Tourbillon at Woolybassets (Mrs A Weymouth)

Feminine in head which is of good proportions, good furnishings. Decent angles front and rear. Good through the body with ribs well back, needs to fill her frame to complete the picture which she will do as she matures. She has well-made quarters with moderately bent stifles. Super coat in harsh condition. Scored in movement with a pleasing action to take the class.

2nd Soufriere Balisage (Miss L E Rossington)

This lady has good type about her, head of good shape and overall proportions, good through the neck and a decent lay back of shoulder, would like a shade more length of forearm to balance her out. Good through the body, decent spring of rib and firm through the loin. Quarters well made with moderate angulation. Move well in profile but not as tidy as the winner on the up and down today.

1st Ch Jayanel Peppermint Patty (Miss C L Cooper)

A very smart lady who really appealed, last judged her as a raw baby. She has a super head piece, enhanced by a dark eye. Ears well set and of good length. Good reach of neck into well laid shoulder. Stands on good legs and feet, body well made, good depth of chest and well ribbed back. Quarters well-made, stifles moderately bent. Harsh coat. Moved out well with head held high would just have liked her to have carried her tail a little more proudly. I thought she was first class and not surprised to see she already has her title at such a young age. My Best Bitch and Best of Breed.

2nd Gairside Special Event for Boneveon (Mr R & Mrs Y Bailey & Moult)

Another smart lady, super on the stack. She has a feminine head enhanced by lovely dark eyes. Good neck into well placed shoulders and a good front assembly. Stands on well boned legs. Plenty of depth to her forechest. Ribs rounded and well back. Good rear angles with stifles moderately bent. Moved out really well in profile but wasn’t quite a fluid as the winner today. My Reserve Best Bitch.

1st Silvamoon Saffron at Soufriere (Mrs S Marshall)

A lady of nine years, although she didn’t let it show. I loved her head piece. She has good overall shape on the stack and balanced proportions. Shoulders well laid back and stands on good legs. Well ribbed up, topline level and decent quarters on her, stifles moderately bent. Coat harsh. Moved out well. My Best Veteran.
