Crufts

First of all I would like to thank the Crufts Committee for the huge honour of judging this year at Cruft's, I also feel honored to judge one of my favorite Italian breeds, which has recently been recognized in the UK: the Cirneco dell'Etna.

Already in 2016 I had the honor of judging the first Club Show of the breed in the UK. Since then, much has been done to spread the Cirneco and make this wonderful breed known in this country as well.

I was pleasantly surprised to find today so many (almost all) Cirnecos of English breeding, in the past years many were still imported dogs, this confirms the excellent work that has been done for this breed in the UK.

VETERAN DOG   ( 1 entries, 0 abs.)

1st – KINABULA FORLANI OF KUSHKA - 8 yrs old in good general condition. Correct size and body proportions. Head of good type, correct skull/muzzle ratio, good eye shape, acceptable ears. Good neck, topline not well stretched out and relaxed, correct tail set and carriage, correct length of the limbs, but too open angulations. He moves  with a modest drive with little shoulder opening. Correct coat quality.  Best Veteran today. 

JUNIOR DOG ( 4 entries, 0 abs.)

1st - KINABULA ROUGE DIAMOND AT DEKRIS - 15 mth old. Correct body proportions, nice head with good eye shape, correct ears set, good carriage. Good reach of neck, correct topline and croup with good tail set, underline with excessive tuck up. Correct and well balanced front and rear angulations,  smooth and typical  movement. Good quality of coat. I award him the Reserve Best Dog. 

2nd - KINABULA'S EKANITE - 15 mth, full brother of the 1st. Correct body proportions, head of excellent type, lovely eyes, unfortunately the tip of the right ear is broken in an accident. Good neck, correct topline and croup with good tail set. Correct front and rear angulations, very typical in movement. Good quality of coat.

POST GRADUATE DOG ( 4 entries, 1 abs.)

1st - SILVENTO ORPHEUS FOR SHANTIH - Almost 3 yrs old. At the upper limit of the size, but with correct body proportions. Good head shape, but a little heavy overall. Lovely eyes and expression, correct ears set and carriage.  Good reach of neck, correct topline, croup and tail set, well balanced front and rear angulations, correct and typical in movement. Excellent coat quality.

2nd - WHITGLEN GRECALE - 20 mth old. Overall quite correct in body proportions, not so masculine in head, acceptable eyes, not perfectly carried ears. Correct front and rear angulations, smooth movement. Barely acceptable coat, too sparse on the lower part of the body.

OPEN DOG ( 3 entries, 0 abs.)

1st - KINABULA'S MILANO WITH TRIQUETRA - 4 yrs old excellent type dog. Good size, correct in body proportions, very nice well typical head with correct skull/muzzle ratio, lovely eyes shape and breed expression, correct ears set, excellent carriage. Good reach of neck, correct topline and croup with good tail set, good depth of chest without exaggeration, with well defined underline. Correct and well balanced front and rear angulations, smooth  movement. Good quality of coat, only slightly sparse on the lower part of the body.  Pleased to award him the Best Dog & BOB, certainly an example of the breed to show in the main ring today.

2nd - TEYORA RONCO - 5 yrs old. Correct in body proportions. Head of good type, good eyes and ears. Good neck, topline not well stretched out and relaxed, too sloping croup. He moves with good drive. Correct coat quality with rustic texture.

1st – Ch. HADRANENSIS ARENA OVER TEYORA - Almost 10 yrs old lady of great type. Correct size and body proportions. Lovely feminine head, excellent eyes shape and breed expression, correct ears. Good neck, topline not well relaxed with a little arched back, too sloping croup. Good front and rear angulations, smooth movement. Excellent coat quality. 

JUNIOR BITCH ( 2 entries, 0 abs.)

1st - KINABULA'S TONAL TOPAZ WITH TRIQUETRA - 15 mth very nice young bitch. Perfect square body proportions. Feminine head excellent eyes shape and typical breed expression, correct ears set and carriage. Good reach of neck, correct topline, croup and tail set, well balanced front and rear angulations,  smooth and typical  movement. Good quality of coat, but not so dense all over the body. She well deserves the Best Bitch of today.

2nd - EMY OF JONECA - 1 yr  young bitch, too long in body proportions, head of good type, correct eyes and ears. Topline with too arched back, good front angulations, but excessive rear angulations.  Not so typical in movement.

POST GRADUATE BITCH ( 1 entries, 0 abs.)

1 st - KINABULA'S LOU LOU LEMON - 15 mth nice  bitch. Correct in body proportions. Nice feminine head,  correct eyes shape, correct ears set and carriage, quite good breed expression. Good neck, correct topline, correct tail set, well balanced in front and rear angulations, smooth and typical movement. Good quality of coat. She is the Reserve Best Bitch today.

OPEN BITCH ( 5 entries, 1 abs.)

1st - Ch. HADRANENSIS TELLINA - Almost 4 yrs old, very nice typical bitch, correct in body proportions, nice feminine head, correct eyes shape, correct ears set, but not always well carried.  Correct topline, croup and tail set, very well balanced front and rear angulations, typical in movement. Excellent coat quality.

2nd - KINABULA'S AMORETTA AT TRIQUETRA - 5 yrs old. Correct in body proportions, head of good type, correct eyes and ears. Topline with too arched back, good front angulations, but excessive rear angulations, quite correct coat, only slightly sparse on the lower part of the body.
