CHIHUAHUAS

Many thanks to the Officers and Committee for inviting me to judge the Smooth Coat Chihuahuas and the Long Coat Chihuahuas.

I had an extremely enjoyable day, made better because I was assisted by a very efficient steward, Tracey Holmes to whom I’m very thankful. There is always a wonderful atmosphere at this show.

I was happy to be allowed to go over some very, very nice dogs. Thank you exhibitors for your entries and acceptance.

Puppy LC (2,1)

1 Todd-McCoid’s RUBYANLO MAGIC TRIX. 7month old, cream sable bitch. What a stunning baby this is, she carried herself really well and maintained her top line at all times. Movement is very straight when viewed from all angles enhanced by a lovely tail carriage. She has a very eye catching head with a lovely apple dome and very large eyes. So pretty and one to watch. BPIB.

2 Will’s DORENTY CHUCKLEBERRY FIN. 7 month old fawn sable and white dog. A handsome little chap with a lovely head. A very nice coat for such a young puppy. Lovely mover and super temperament. Just needs experience, but what seven month old baby doesn’t.

Junior LC (4,3)

1 Horsley’s HUSHABYE STAN THE MAN. 12 month old red and white dog. How nice to see such forward, brisk movement, maintaining his top line and keeping his tail held correctly. A very eye catching dog, almost too pretty to be male with those lovely big eyes. Ears and head shape, copybook. Together with a nice coat, not too much, deserved RBOB.

2 Lucas’s PARADAXI MIDNIGHT SHADOW FROM PHILANDIANE. 17 month old black dog. Lovely temperament. Great round head with ears and eyes perfectly placed. Very level top line, maintained on the move. Didn’t drop his tail and a very straight mover. Good coat, not too much of it.

PG LC (5,5)

1 Holland-Smith’s DIAMONCHI STAR OF THE SHOW AT KIRDANCHI. 2yr old cream bitch. What a head piece, so pretty. Large dark eyes against the cream alongside good nose pigment. Full ears at the correct angle. Good coat, not too much.

2 Obringer’s CHIHOHIT FAVOURITE NON PAREIL CHARM CHIAFFIE. 23 months old cream bitch. Very pretty lady who moved briskly and correctly round the ring. Feminine build and very happy, lovely temperament when handled on the table.

O LC (8,2)

1 Holland-smith’s CHIOHITFAVORITE ONLY YOU FOR KIRDANCHI (IMP BLR). 20 month old cream dog. A lovely example of the breed. Moves straight and well with a little ‘brisk elevation’ and good drive. Large masculine head with everything in the correct place. Lovely pigment against the cream. Maintained a perfect top line on the move. A good coat. Very in tune with his handler and very happy. Well-deserved BOB & 3rd BIS.

2 Entwistles’s CH DORENTY’S HEIDI HI. Two and a half year old cream sable bitch. A dainty girl with a beautifully domed head. Caught my eye as she entered the ring, she has such a waggy tail which is held correctly whilst on the move. Her top line remained secure. A pretty face and a correct, not too much, coat.

Puppy SC (3,3)

1 Fothergill’s DIAMONCHI MISS MOONDUST. What an appealing cream bitch this is. Head, ears, eyes, muzzle all so good. I had to be shown dentition, but she’s only 9 months old and should ‘surrender’ with experience. Lovely conformation, she’s a tiny girl but is quite well developed, certainly in her hind quarters. What an active, excited girl she is, but kept everything together enough to not only win this class, but also RBPIS.

2 Stading’s STADMEYER ARAMIS. Cream dog, 6 months old. A slightly built appearance, brisk mover and beautifully confident.

Junior SC (1,0)

1 Stading’s STADMEYER ALICE. Fawn sable bitch of 9 months. Did cover the ground well and a lovely outline from the side view. Very level top line which was maintained on the move. Muzzle was good, not too short.

PG SC (4,4)

1 Fothergill’s I’M A DREAM VIOLETTA IN LOVE FOR DIAMONCHI (IMP ITA). A very pretty 16 month old bitch with super pigment. A good apple head, ears correctly placed and used, a look finished well with those gorgeous large dark eyes. Level top line standing and on the move. A very happy girl. BOB

2 Holland-Smith’s KIRDANCHI CAME HOME. A very smart red dog, 2 years old with proportions that conform to breed standard, nothing overdone. Good head. Very straight movement. A really nice ‘cigar’ tail, carried well. Handsome boy who I hope to see more of.

O SC (2,2)

1 Fothergill’s DIAMONCHI LAST ONE STANDING. Beautifully put together red bitch of 3 years. What a head piece and so pretty. Super top line, tail never budges. Well proportioned. RBOB

2 Smith’s MOLTOBELLO PRIDE AND JOY OF HULAWAWAS. Fawn male. 4.5 years old. Good head, eye and ears. Super dentition. A little long in the body, but moved very well, nice and straight. What a lovely nature he has. A lot to like.
