I would like to thank the hard-working committee of Consett Canine Society for the opportunity to judge at their friendly show. I was delighted with the overall quality of my main winners and pleased to see such promising youngsters. Thank you for such an enjoyable day!

Working Group

 Alaskan Malamute – Open

1st Page’s Snow Legend Zest for Life Cedarcreek (RUS IMP), 10 month old bitch, promising youngster, appealing head, loved her expression, flat cheeks, correct stop and lovely almond shape, obliquely set eye, lovely to go over, good front, correct topline, pwerful back end, moved with purpose and handled sympathetically to get the best out of this endearing puppy, challenged hard for the group, BOB, BP, RBIG, & RBPIS, shall watch her career with interest!!!

2nd Vasarhelyi’s Okinastar I’m The Man, another youngster, impressive when stood foursquare, however was unsettled on the day, masculine boy with a typical expression, good front and topline, wouldn’t let me go over the rest of him, powerful mover, lost out, to the steadier performance of the puppy.

Bernese Mountain Dog – Post Graduate

1st Copeland’s Kernow Dollar Princess at Maxjabar, 10 month old nicely made dog, appealing head and expression with flat skull, good front on this sturdy youngster, correct topline, moved with purpose, just needs to mature to see the best of him, well handled and he won BP and reserve best puppy in the group.

Bernese Mountain Dog – Open

1st Abbott-Brown & Abbott’s Meadowpark Dream Come True with Kingstonska Sh Cm, 8 year old bitch in good condition for her and never stopped showing, lovely head, very appealing expression, good front and well angulated at back, which allowed her to move with power, happy showgirl, who done more than enough to win BOB, G4 & BVIG.

2nd Copeland’s Trudaleaze He’s Fab You Louis at Majabar, liked his head, masculine youngster, well presented, well enough constructed dog, moved well, however in the final run around the ring, couldn’t match the bitch.

Dogue De Bordeaux - Open

1st Moran’s Airbean Drops of Jupiter, appealing young bitch, good head, broad skull, oval eyes, liked her front, good topline, in wonderful condition, moved with drive and power, sound young bitch, handled and presented well in the class and ultimately won BOB.

2nd Moran’s Airbean Somebody Told Me (NAF, RAF), another nice young bitch from this kennel, liked her head and expression, well enough constructed did not move as well as her kennel mate, however a good example of the breed.

Newfoundland – Post Graduate

1st Mcintyre’s Shirebears Enchanter for Edbear, just loved this young dog from the minute he walked in the ring, loved his head, which was broad and rather square, had the most appealing eyes, straight front, good angulations, broad back and strong hindquarters, moved with the typical free and slightly rolling gait, this youngster showed non stop and was handled and presented to absoluter perfection, was not to be denied BOB & BIG.

Newfoundland – Open

1st Mcintyre’s Camnoire Fizik for Edbear, this rather beautiful and exuberant bitch was a delight to go over and handle, loved her head and expression, good front and strong hindSiquarters, when she had all four feet on the ground was so sound and moved with real purpose, happy showgirl, narrowly loosing out to her kennel mate, on his more composed performance.

Siberian Husky – Post Graduate

1st Odell’s Lyfearon She Is A Wildflower, appealing head and expression, good front and level topline, well muscled dog with strong back end, moved effortlessly to win the class and BOB, handled sympathetically, to get the most out of, another promising youngster, who later went on to win G3.

2nd Odell’s Siberiadrift Secret Weapon, another nice bitch, however reluctant to show of her many qualities, good head, well made bitch, however lost out on movement to classwinner.

Siberian Husky – Open

1st Odell’s Graffsiberians Excel Exact for Howlvalley (IMP RUS), lots to like about this four year old dog, lovely head, liked the proportions of his head, with expressive eyes, good front and topline, strong hindquarters, absolutely effortless when it came to moving, just needs to make a bit more of himself, close call for BOB.
