NORTH WEST BORDER COLLIE CLUB

27 MAR 22

I would very much like to thank the committee of North West Border Collie Club for inviting me to judge their most enjoyable open show on Sunday 27th March 2022 and I’d like to thank all those who attended for making it such a pleasant day.

MPD 2(0)

1. Morton’s Bordadale Me Ol Cobber. Nice young male, keen alert expression, good dark eye, up behind at this stage, correct length to height with an easy ground covering gait, preferred the rear movement of 1.

2. Kempton’s Clan-Abby Fly Me Over to Borderbrook (imp AUS). Another nice youngster, not quite the curve of stifle I would like but good head and expression, correct bone and good reach on the move.

PD 3(0)

1. Ward’s Blackgold Hollywood Sunset over Starside. 9 month old male shown in full coat and in good condition, well angulated front and rear, good feet and correct pasterns, strong top-line, masculine head and expression.

2. Morton’s Bordadale Me Ol Cobber. 1st MPD.

3. Kempton’s Clan-Abby Fly Me Over to Borderbrook (imp AUS).

YD 1(0)

1. Barratt’s Pendleway Time Lord. Very nice 19 month old male, excellent head and good dark eye, good bone, correct reach of neck, strong top-line, easy ground covering gait and shown in full coat and good condition, BD/BOS/RBIS.

ND 1(0)

1. Kempton’s Clan-Abby Fly Me Over to Borderbrook (imp AUS). 2nd MPD.

PGD 1(0)

1. Domotori’s Lucky For You Wesley (imp HUN). Dog shown in excellent coat and condition, good balance in profile, light quick ground covering gait, well handled and presented.

OD 1(0)

1. Kempton’s Borderbrook Spring At Last JW. Compact in structure but balanced, correct bone, good feet and pasterns, nice head and good dark eye, covered sufficient ground on the move.

SpOD AOC 2(0)

1. Domotori’s Lucky For You Wesley (imp HUN). 1st PGD and RBD.

2. Kempton’s Clan-Abby Fly Me Over to Borderbrook (imp AUS). 2nd in MPD and 1st ND.

SpOD (confined to members) 1(0)

1. Ward’s Starside John Lennon. Good masculine head, good reach of neck, strong shoulders, strong top-line, shown in full coat, carrying as much weight as I would like but easy ground covering gait.

MPB 2(1)

1. Morley/Rogerson’s Chikaramor Hall Of Fame. Very nice puppy, feminine head and expression, good dark eye, well set ears, good reach of neck, excellent overall proportions, good ground covering gait, nice prospect, RBPIS.

PB 6(2)

1. Kinton’s Kinaway Dreams With Fire (AI). Correct head, well set ears, good reach of neck, correct medium bone, well held top-line, good croup, good tail-set, nice angulation front and rear, easy ground covering gait, BPB/RBB/BPIS.

2. Morley/Rogerson’s Chikaramor Hall Of Fame. 1st MPB.

3. Sherwin’s Chikaramor Carry On.

JB 3(1)

1. Kempton’s Borderbrook Winter Sunset. Nice feminine head, good reach of neck, well set shoulders, would prefer a little more turn of stifle and consequently drive from behind.

2. Domotori’s Wild Storm Before You Go (imp ES) NAF. Feminine youngster, overall balanced but with medium minus bone, quick light footed gait.

YB 2(1)

1. Kempton’s Borderbrook Winter Sunset. 1st JB.

NB 3(1)

1. Kinton’s Kinaway Dreams With Fire (AI). 1st PB.

2. Morley/Rogerson’s Chikaramor Hall Of Fame. 1st MPB, 2nd PB.

GB 2(1)

1. Kempton’s Borderbrook Winter Sunset. 1st JB, 1st YB.

PGB 3(0)

1. Kempton’s Borderbrook Winter Sunset. 1st JB, 1st YB, 1st GB.

2. Davies’ Harbecca Noah’s Gift. Just preferred the reach and drive of number 1, however this is a very nice young bitch with excellent balance and covered the ground with a light footed gait.

3. Baldwin’s Breevana Queen Of Hearts.

LB 3(0)

1. Buckley’s Tambuzi True Colours. Very nice bitch, well balanced, strong top-line, correct croup and tail-set, shown in full coat and good condition, moved with an efficient ground covering gait.

2. Hargreaves’ Harbecca Chantilly Lace. Preferred the front of 1 when viewed coming towards me but this bitch has balance and an efficient gait. On another day a little more condition would serve her well.

3. Kinton’s Kinaway Kisses With Fire (AI).

OB 2(1)

1. Kempton’s Borderbrook Fame Or Fortune. Very nice 3 year old bitch, good bone, excellent angulation front and rear, good top-line, correct croup, nice feet, good pasterns, shown to advantage on the move, BB/BIS.

SpOB AOC 3(1)

1. Baldwin’s Breevana Queen Of Hearts. Very lively bitch who thoroughly enjoyed her day out, keen alert expression, medium bone, good reach of neck, as much back length as I would like but quick and light footed on the move.

2. Ward’s Diamonds Are Forever in Starside. Feminine head, good dark eye and balanced fore and aft but tended to be a little untidy on the out and back but covered good ground in profile.

SpOB (confined to members)

1. Buckley’s Tambuzi True Colours. 1st LB.

2. Kempton’s Yonder Oaks Nevaeh at Borderbrook (imp). Compact in type but balanced throughout with a strong top-line and a keen expression, covered good ground with a quick, light footed gait.

VB 3(1)

Two very nice veterans I just preferred 1 who was tidier when viewed from behind.

1. Baldwin’s Melneg Magic Mystery at Breevana. Good overall balance, correct bone, shown in full coat, long reach and drive on the move, BVIS.

2. Collier’s Moshanta Midnight Star over Collherd. A lovely 12 year old who remains a credit to the breed, good bone, good angulation but just, a tendency these days, to be a little bit ‘hocky’ when viewed from the rear.
