North Of Scotland Sheepdog Club

THE NORTH OF SCOTLAND SHEEPDOG CLUB

I was delighted to be able to support the Committee of the North of Scotland Sheepdog Club as a last minute replacement for Ms Jayne Clegram who very sadly had to withdraw from her appointment and excellent entry to judge border collies at the North of Scotland Sheepdog Club open show on the 9th April 2022. Very sadly Jayne contracted Covid and had to withdraw at the last moment and this ghastly disease also affected a number of people who had entered under Jayne and therefore the entry on the day was very much reduced.

BORDER COLLIE

MP 6(3)

1. Walker’s Ravenskirk Pretty In Pink. Preferred the overall balance of 1, good shoulder, strong top-line, correct feet, good reach of neck, covered the ground well on the move, BP.

2. Walker’s Ravenskirk Brown Eyed Girl. Keen, alert expression, good dark eye, nice reach of neck, level top-line, a little loose behind on the move at this stage.

3. Buxton’s Meisterwerk Kenny R.

SY 4(3)

1. MacDonald’s Romiodor Mizz Dynamite. Nice 12 month old bitch, good dark eye, good reach of neck, strong shoulders, well angulated front and rear, good medium bone, easy ground covering gait.

VD 4(3)

1. Walker’s Wizaland Whiskey In The Jar. Nice 7 year old male, balanced throughout, level top-line, correct medium bone, good croup, tail-set and carriage, efficient ground covering gait, BD, BOS.

GB 4(3)

1. Walker’s Miraje Just Because at Ravenskirk. 3 year old female, feminine head, good medium bone, correct feet and pasterns, good overall length to height proportions, correct croup, quick efficient, parallel gait.

OB 3(1)

1. MacDonald’s Locheil Love Heart. Very well balanced bitch with excellent angulation, strong top-line, correct tail-set and carriage, good pasterns, good tight feet, light footed, ground covering gait, BB, BOB.

2. Buxton’s Shanmill Must Be Dreaming at Meisterwerk. A balanced bitch with an easy, quick footed gait but a touch strong in the muzzle for me, shown in full coat and good condition.

VB 3(1)

2 excellent veteran bitches at 13 and 12½ of age years respectively, just preferred the rear drive of 1 on the day.

1. Donald’s Locheil Violets Are Blue. This is a very nice blue with good, feminine head, nice dark eye, balanced throughout and at her age is an absolute credit to the breed, I was delighted that she went on to take Best Veteran in Show, BV, BVIS.

2. MacDonald’s Locheil Just Cruisin’. Another credit to the breed with lovely feminine head, excellent shoulder, good croup and an impressive ground covering gait.
