Pointer

Yearling (2,0)

1st Collins’ Collholme Angelique – a lovely feminine bitch who was well built and displaying the ‘general outline of graceful curves’. Eyes bright, showing a kind expression and blending with her coat. Refined head of medium breadth. Standing on oval, tight feet with arched toes, good bone. Well sprung ribs with strong loin. Moved well from all angles with reach and drive, covering the ground. Pleased to award her Best of Breed.
2nd Ram’s Jilony Brown - Large sized dog with strong bone. Good head showing tradition concave to muzzle with good depth. Movement in front was loose and in profile showed more hackney movement than reach.

Post Graduate (3,0)

1st Collins’ Collholme Balthasar – Young 18 month male who won this class on his head and movement. Muscular neck leading to good front angulation. Strong topline, just a bit short in back for me and little longer in second thigh.
2nd Ovel’s Jimaura Queen of Spain – A lovely bitch who was a little nervous today which spoilt her movement as she held her tail down. Hopefully her confidence will grow as she has a lovely typey head, good breadth across skull and well-defined stop. Good angulation and balanced fore & aft. Good topline and shape, on the move she was true.
3rd Thorpe’s & Bircham’s Wilchrimane Adajio at Braegorse

Open (3,0)

1st Thorpe’s & Bircham’s Amiryck Get Up And Run at Braegorse – Won this class on his head. Broad skull, flat across the top with concave to muzzle and wide nostrils. Strong bone and good size for a male. Strong topline. Good width of thigh. Moved OK behind but throwing elbows when coming towards as not as close to the chest as could be. RBOB
2nd Ovel’s Jimaura Dancing Queen – Balanced bitch but a bit fine. Nice head and muzzle and dark eye. Moved OK but messy in front.
3rd Collins’ Saregresi Ventulus Lemon Drop at Collholme (Imp Hun)

Retriever (Labrador)

Puppy (8,1)

1st Manning’s Marchurch Imperial Topaz – 7 month old with broad skull with powerful looking muzzle, dark brown eyes with ears set back. Well made in angulation with laid back shoulders, good return of upper arm, and balanced in rear with well turned stifle. Level topline, short coupled with strong loin. Well sprung barrel ribs and standing on round, compact feet. Strong tail used well on the move where he moved well with free movement covering adequate ground, and to top it all, really enjoyed himself! Best Puppy.

Yearling (84)

1st Newman’s Creamwood Silver Hawthorn – Impressive young male who deserved BOB today and shown in peak condition. Skull broad, defined stop, and clean-cut head. Ears set back and close to head. Dark eye expressing intelligence. Good angulation with laid back shoulders, good return of upper arm, and well-turned stifle in hindquarters. Balanced throughout with tight elbows to deep chest with barrel ribs, placing front legs under his body. Level topline, short strong loin. Short pasterns and moved true, covering ground with good reach and drive.
2nd Andrew’s Creamwood Come What May – Similar in type and similar comments apply to 1st, not surprised to find they are siblings. I just felt today she was carrying a little excess weight. I loved her intelligent expression; she is strongly built and broad throughout while retaining her femininity.
3rd Sadler’s Talifen Gentleman Jack
Res Robertson & Coddington’s Saranden Kindred Lula

Post Graduate (5,1)

1st Andrew’s Creamwood Tea For Two – Another older sibling to the yearling winner, a substantial male with good bone. Short coupled with strong loin. Lovely head and expression with setback ears laying close to head and a dark eye. Moved true but lacked enthusiasm today.
2nd Coddington & Shortland’s Rocheby Silhouette to Genisval – Lovely bitch with broad skull and good muzzle. Short strong loin and strong tail which was used well on the move where she showed true and powerful movement in all 3 directions.
3rd Double & Harris’ Willowrush Ramsholt Flo
Res Manning’s Baileydale Harmony of Marchurch

Open (3,1)

1st Double & Harris’ Willowrush Iken Indie – 4 year old bitch in full maturity. Strong bone, broad skull, strong muzzle. Well made with lay back of shoulder and good return of upper arm, she was lovely to go over. Well sprung ribs of good depth. She moved well once settled.

Spaniel (Field)

Special Yearling (1,0)

1st MacBain & Brewer’s Fecimus Sone of A Gun – Just 6 months and at a leggy stage, but he has time to balance out as he matures and shows so much promise with a bright future ahead of him. Noble head, well chiselled with moderate stop and long and lean muzzle, without snipiness. Strong bone with tight round feet. Correct length in ribs and balanced angulation with well laid back shoulders and strong, muscular hindquarters. On the move he was together and true, showing his balance and good reach & drive. BOB & BP

Limit (1,0)

1st MacBain & Brewer’s Fecimus Once You’ve Had Black – a 2 year old very feminine bitch, still retaining the mobility and upstanding field spaniel look. Good length of body with correct amount through ribcage, lovely angulation with strong hindquarters. Good width of loin and compact feet. She was just not wanting to show today. RBOB

Afghan Hound

Post Graduate (2,0)

1st Mullen’s El Roalito Keep Smiling (Imp Deu) – Of smaller size and structure, this dog was in balance and gave the impression of speed and power as he moved around the ring in a smooth, effortless stride. Long through skull and foreface and balanced with his body. Lovely construction with long & sloping shoulders, well laid back with equally well-turned stifles. Level back and well-muscled throughout. Good spring of rib and depth of chest. Good coat, well presented. BOB
2nd Bastille’s Shadowfax Meister Singer – Strong male of good size. Head ok but lacking stop and broader in skull. Showing aloofness. RBOB

Open (1,0)

1st Hutchings’ Tangaer French Romance – 3 year old male, well made with good angulation and lovely forechest. Strong and muscular through the body with level topline and tight feet. Moved true with good drive. Just preferred the head and muzzle of the puppy. RBOB

Rhodesian Ridgeback

Junior (2,0)

1st Catharell & Larkin’s Asharaa’s Perfect Match with Faahac – I loved this young dog and he shows lot’s of potential. Flat skull, broad between high set ears which were carried close to head. Well define stop with powerful muzzle. Strong bone and forelegs straight, standing in compact, well arched feet. Deep chest with well sprung ribs, muscular loin and moved well in the class showing correct footfall & reach & drive. Just unfortunate to meet my open bitch today, and he lacked motivation on the move in the challenge. RBOB & BP
2nd Nobbs’s Sunrise Ruby Princess – 11 month bitch of taller stature. She moved with reach & drive today and true from all angles. Fair length to head and muzzle and lips close fitting. Short & dense coat.

Open (2,1)

1st Cox’s Ch Carlincox Pure Gold JW – Very little not to like about this bitch, just 3 years old, she is shown in peak condition and is made correctly and balanced throughout with strong neck, laid back shoulders and good return of upper arm. Flat skull, broad head and powerful muzzle. Eyes bright and showing intelligent expression, harmonising with coat colour. Straight forelegs with good bone and tight feet. Level topline, correct crown & ridge, moved well, true from all angles, free and active showing reach & drive. BOB
