Miniature Schnauzer

P (2). 1. Whitcombe’s Arkangath Zola Bud. Smart and classy pepper & salt bitch of 6 months. Lovely square outline and well covered with good depth and width throughout for her age. Scored in head which was in proportion to body with good skull and muzzle, complemented by pleasing eye. Neck was of good length with upper line corresponding well to slant of thigh. Front developing nicely with adequate width and elbows close to body. Excellent sloping topline into shapely hindquarters. Tidy and purposeful on the move, true both coming and going. Best of Breed and Best Puppy 2. Wallis’ Wallensis Soul to the Smiter. 8 ½ month black & silver puppy bitch of a lovely disposition. I liked her head properties and expression. Clean neck which was set well into wither with good shoulders. Lovely straight front, but she needs to fill her frame which should come with time. Strong topline but slightly longer cast than the winner. Strength through croup and hindquarters and an enthusiastic, showy mover, but a typical puppy and needs to tighten up overall. Plenty of time for this pretty girl.

Rottweiler

P (1) 1. Clark’s Botlierskop Capella. Charming 6 month puppy bitch with the most appealing head and expression which was feminine and well proportioned; moderately arched forehead, lovely muzzle of correct strength with clean lips and flews. This was mounted on a clean, adequate length of neck which was well set and flowed nicely into the wither and topline. Lovely quarters fore and aft for one so young with matching angles at shoulder and stifle. Enough width and depth of body for age and firm topline although I would prefer her to be slightly shorter coupled. Good croup and condition. A very easy, lithe mover with a strong ground covering stride. Best of Breed and Best Puppy.

Siberian Husky

P (4 2) 1. Ferreti’s Arcticskies Super Trouper for Lyrvid. Stylish 8 month old puppy bitch who appealed to me with her finely chiselled head which was of good shape and proportions. Very pleasing expression and eye. Elegant and feminine, but nothing weedy about her, she was put down in good condition with adequate depth of body and of good width. I liked her good shoulder which was laid back well and supported by enough return of upper arm. Firm, strong topline and slight tuck-up, lovely turn of stifle. On the move she was light of foot whist demonstrating good use of her quarters. Best of Breed and Best Puppy. I was delighted to learn she also won Working Puppy Group 1. 2. Goodall’s Cwnhapus Master of Whispers. 7 month male who was as masculine as the winner was feminine. Nothing overdone about him at all and he was well presented in great condition. Fox-like head of good shape and in proportion to body. Pleasing length to neck and proud carriage. Strong straight front with good depth and the right width. Height to length proportions were good as were his angles fore and aft. Not quite as strong in topline as the winner, but a good, working mover with easy stride.
