What a lovely class to start with, four quality dogs.
1st Benton’s Ch Oakestelle Venus de Milo VW – Collie (Smooth). 9yr B. Classic outline with super head and ears. Strong neck into well laid should, correct spring and depth of rib. Correct topline to a well angulated rear. Excels on the move, true, easy, fluid gait with reach and drive. Best AVNSC and later Best AV Pastoral Veteran and Pastoral Group 1.
2nd Leggett’s Meldale Diamond Moon – Old English Sheepdog. 4yr B. Loved her outline and size, well made under a full coat with straight front and well laid shoulders. Short coupled giving the correct outline, well made rear. Steady true mover.
3rd Dodd’s Ch Tanellis Bloomin Primrose – Swedish Vallhund

1st Bartlett’s Cwnhapus Celestial Beauty. 10mth B. Lovely type, feminine all through of good size and shape. Well made forequarters with well laid shoulders, straight front, neat feet and a lovely level topline. Correct rear angles with good width. Best mover with correct head and tail carriage and true driving gait. BOB & BP
2nd Shahmatova’s Nasdom All Eyes On You 7mth B, another typey B, broader in skull that 1 with good stop. Well made forequarters with well laid shoulders, well sprung ribs. Level topline to correct tailset. Another good mover but not as smooth as the winner. RBOB
3rd Dalby’s Hidden Bo Fedele Amico for Axernamoon (Imp Rus)

1st Shahmatova’s Nasdom Lost in Your Eyes. 7mth B and litter sister to 2nd SY. Not as confident as her sister but just as well made fore and aft. Feminine head with dark eyes. Lovely level topline. Moved well, true coming and going.
2nd Dalby’s Hidden Bo Fedele Amico for Axernamoon (Imp Rus). 11mth Dog. Different in type to the others. Liked him on the stand, mature and in good coat with pleasing head and expression. Well made fore and aft with well laid shoulders and straight front. Level topline with good rear angles. Today his movement let him down, he was not happy, pulling away from his handler which spoiled his line, caused him to crab and restricted his drive.

1st John’s Breezelyn Ears a Breakthrou for Alepenkye. 10mth B. What a sweetie. Correct head of good length and proportions with dark eyes and well set and well carried ears. Well made forequarters, level topline and correct tail. Moderate angulation behind. Loved her typical ‘lively & spirited’ movement. True coming and going. BP & later, Puppy Group 1

1st John’s Breezelyn Ears a Top Tip at Alepenkye. 2yr B. Another pleasing B of good type. Correct length and proportions through head with well set and well used ears. Well made with straight front, level topline through to a moderately angled rear. Steady true mover, lovely footfall in profile. BOB & later, Group 4

1st Aylott’s Barwal Badger Boy. Very smart 18mth D. Masculine head of good shape with well set and well used ears. Well made forequarters with good forechest. Level topline to a well angled rear. Moved true.

1st Legerton’s Anwyl In The Limelight at Solaw (Imp Aus). 2yr B. Feminine head of good shape with well set and very mobile ears. Lovely forequarters with well laid shoulders and good forechest, level topline and well angulated rear. Correct tailset and carriage. Free mover. BOB
2nd Poile’s Oregonian Snow Monkey at Cherrimar ShCM. Very imposing 7yr D. Fully mature with a pleasing head of good proportions and well-set ears. Lots of forechest ahead of well laid shoulders. Level topline to a well angled rear. Moved with drive, just not as straight in front today as the winner. RBOB

1st Kennedy’s Oakcroft Aurora Dream at Donbeley - Shetland Sheepdog. What a lovely 4yr old B. Not too big, lovely shape & type. Super head with dark eyes and an attentive expression. Very well-made forequarters with well laid shoulders & straight front. Correct spring and depth of rib and in good coat. Correct rear angles. So true coming and going, very steady in profile.

2nd Dodd’s Ch Hurstfield Renen Vixen at Tanellis - Swedish Vallhund This 7yr B oozed type and quality, and what a show off she is. Lovely head of good shape. Super forequarters with well laid shoulders and very nice forechest. Level topline, well bodied with a clean outline through to a well-muscled rear. So positive on the move, true and free with drive.

1st Glading’s Rabbitville Fauve Avec Mavaya (Imp DNK) – Picardy Sheepdog. Oh my. I have not judged this 2yr old before and for me she sums up the General Appearance statement in the breed standard. Lovely shape and substance, feminine head with dark expressive eyes and well-set ears. So well made, lovely angles fore and aft, strong level topline, deep chest with a good spring of rib. A true easy driving mover. Best Import and just pipped by the super Smooth Collie in the group to win Group 2.

Gp 3 Benton & Smith’s Ch Brooklynson El Dorado - Collie (Rough) 5yr D that is so typey and well made. Loved his shape and size. Super head of correct shape with a slight stop, well set and well used ears. Excels in front assembly, well laid shoulders and return of upper arm giving an amount of forechest. Level back to a well-set tail and well angled muscular rear. Carrying a lovely coat. Moves true all round and with drive.
