1st Angier & Stacey’s Icon de Bruinie Buck at Birkcross (Imp NLD). 4yr mature D. Super shape and attitude. Lovely head shape with super ears. Well laid shoulders, good spring and depth of rib, correct topline and tailset. Loved his rear angles. Moves true all round with easy driving action. BOB

1st Monks’ Bergeau Forever Starlight. What a super 3yr D. Lovely head of good shape with dark expressive eyes and well set ears. Well made forequarters with well laid shoulders, level topline through to a well made rear and in good coat. What a super mover, true with correct reach and drive. BOB

1st Sainsbury’s Wooliebourne Nick of Time – Spaniel (Clumber). 9mth B, what a sweetie. Liked her overall shape, good head and dark eyes. Very good front with well laid shoulders into a level topline. Correct tailset and lovely rear with good bend of stifle. On the move she is a joy to watch, good drive and true coming and going. BP & Puppy Group 2

Junior (3,2)

1st Watts’ Oakleaf Manor Bay of Oakmarsh (Imp Deu) - Retriever (Chesapeake Bay). 14mth B, a little reserved to start with but soon settled. Good size and shape with lovely feminine head which has good breadth of skull. Deep well-sprung ribs under well laid shoulders and a straight front. Slight rise to the hindquarters which are well angled. What a super mover, free, true with lovely drive.

1st Latheron’s Fynder Reacher – Spaniel (Irish Water). Very smart 18mth D. Clean outline, masculine head with good breadth to skull and muzzle. Super forequarters with well sprung ribs and good forechest. Level topline to a well angler rear. Moves true with drive. RBAVNSC
2nd Watts’ Oakmarsh Freedom - Retriever (Chesapeake Bay). 4yr B with a feminine head of good proportions. Super forequarters with lovely forechest. Well laid shoulders and straight front. Deep well-sprung ribs back to a well angulated rear. Moves true with drive.
3rd Jones’ Lizallwood Peggy Sue - Retriever (Curly Coated)

1st Thorogood’s Anbrook Don’t Stop Me Now at Harrifield – Spaniel (Clumber). Really liked this 2yr old dogs shape and outline. Super head, masculine, large with good breadth and correct eyes. Well laid shoulders, enough forechest. Deep well-sprung ribs under a level topline, body of good length through to a well angled and well muscled rear. True steady mover with drive. BAVNSC
2nd Watts’ Sh Ch Oakmarsh Chestnut - Retriever (Chesapeake Bay). 6yr B. Feminine of good type with lovely head and neck. Super forechest, well laid shoulders and deep well-sprung ribs. Level topline to a well angled rear. Moves true coming and going with drive.

1st McAllister’s Rumolboys Cascade of Fire. 2yr D with a lovely outline and true to type. Correct head proportions, good breadth. Good, moderate front angles and straight front. Well ribbed back to a well angled rear. Moved true with good drive. BOB

1st Poile’s Thornywait Starshine at Cherrimar. Just 6mths, a gorgeous young B with a lovely head, dark eyes and a soft expression. Very well made forequarters with well laid shoulders and enough forechest. Good bone and feet. Deep well-sprung ribs under a level topline with correct tail set and carriage. Good turn of stifle, moved with drive and ease. BP and later Gundog Puppy Group 1
2nd Todd’s Kelbadora Dreams of Dreams with Toddrosa. 11mth B, heavier build than 1 and shorted coupled. Pleasing head, dark eyes and soft expression. Well made forequarters with well laid shoulders and enough forechest. Deep well-sprung ribs, level topline. Good width of ham. Steady true mover but not the drive of 1.

Junior (4,2)

Very close call between these 2 very nice 13mth girls.
1st Riley’s Wylloh Goldikova. Loved her shape and size, feminine through head with dark eyes and soft expression. Super forequarters with good forechest. Well laid shoulders over deep ribs under a level topline with correct tailset. Moved true with good drive.
2nd Grantham’s Dajumija Skylark. Cleaner outline and straighter coat that 1st. Again, very feminine with pleasing head and expression. Well made forequarters with deep well-sprung ribs under a level topline. Moved with drive. Just not as clean coming and going as the winner.

Post Graduate (5,2)

1st Pounds-Longhurst’s Mossburn Galloping Major JW. Preferred this boy for his type and shape. Masculine throughout with good head and dark expressive eyes. Super forequarters with well laid shoulders and enough forechest and good return of upper eyes. Super level topline over well sprung ribs of good depth. Correct tailset although he does carry it a little high. Good turn of stifle. Moved with ease, true fore and aft with drive.
2nd Grantham’s Reflection of Wizngrace at Dajumija. Dark golden feminine B. Pleasing head and expression, good length of neck to well laid shoulders and enough forechest. Good bone and feet. Level topline to a well angled rear. Lovely mover with good drive.
3rd Gray & Hales’ Sunnyoak Silver Bullet at Grayales

Lovely class, liked all 3 dogs.
1st Riley’s Wylloh Lost In Translation JW. This 2yr D just won through on his cleaner movement. Masculine head of good proportions with dark expressive eyes. Well made forequarters with well laid shoulders and deep well-sprung ribs. Good bone and neat feet. Lovely rear angles with correct tail set and carriage. True easy driving mover. BOB and later Gundog Group 3.

2nd Stallard’s Maplerose All Tuckeered Out. 6yr D, fully mature and looking a picture, different in head to the winner but still very nice. Super forequarters with well laid shoulders, good bone and feet, deep well-sprung ribs and a level topline. Very nice rear angles and another good mover. RBOB and later RBOB Gundog Group 4
3rd Smith & Hill’s Serendipity Dog Principe James Con Rosgar JW (Imp Esp)

1st Smith & Hill’s Rosgar Autumnal Bliss. 6yr mature B, preferred her overall type and shape. Lovely forequarters, well muscled with well laid shoulders and good bone. Level topline and correct tailset and carriage, Deep chest and well sprung ribs, good rear angles, steady mover.
2nd Poile’s Summeramba Twizzle at Cherrimar. Different type to 1. Pleasing feminine head with dark eye and sort expression. She does have a tendency to drop her topline on occasions. Well made forequarters, good rear angles but lacked drive on the move.

1st Boulden’s Rumhill Firebreeze. 11mth B and sister to 2nd. Pleasing type, up to size but good shape. Feminine head of good shape and proportions, well made forequarters ahead of deep well-sprung ribs and a level topline. True steady mover with a lovely tail carriage. BP & BOB
2nd Boulden’s Rumhill Firecracker. Strong masculine dog of good proportions and shape. Masculine head with good stop, well made forequarters, deep well-sprung ribs and a level topline. Correct tailset and carriage, another good mover.3rd Mitchell’s Isflavcott Fergus

1st Morgan-Cadman Ashlawn Lord Byron. Another sizeable dog but good shape, well proportioned masculine head, Well made forequarters with deep well-sprung ribs under a level topline. Good rear angles, well muscled. Moved with drive. RBOB

1st Strevens’ Tollisty You Can’t Decline. 12mth D. Built on a smaller frame and with lots of good points I just couldn’t decline him 1st. Pleasing head and neck into well laid shoulders and good spring and depth of chest. Level topline to a well angled rear. Best mover, true coming and going with drive.
2nd Byrne’s Acadiabyrne Mexican Fire. 12mth D. Larger frame that 1 but with correct proportions. Lovely head with well made forequarters. Well laid shoulders under a level topline when stood correctly. Well-sprung ribs of good depth. Nice rear angles and moved well. Looks better when he free-stands himself.
3rd Lashly’s Tollisty Blow Your Mind at Citanabel

Post Graduate (3,1)

1st Byrne’s Acadiabyrne Copacabana. 2yr B. Liked her for her shape, Feminine head, well made forequarters with well laid shoulders and some forechest. Correct spring and depth of chest. Level toppline through to a well angled rear. Moved well with drive but can appear a little busy.
2nd Lashly’s Tollisty Blow Your Mind at Citanabel. 12mth B. A little heavy through head with a short muzzle. Well laid shoulders but lacks forechest and depth of chest. Standing a touch bum high today. Good rear angles and moved with a little more drive in this class.

1st Strevens’ Sh Ch Tollelkin Caife Gaelach at Tollisty. Nice 3yr B of good size and shape. Feminine head of good shape and dark eyes. Super forequarters with straight front, well laid shoulders, good forechest and well-sprung ribs of good depth. Level topline through to a well made rear. Moved with drive, true all round. BOB

Spaniel (Welsh Springer)

1st Gough’s Julita Rukester. 6yr D I have judged a few times and lovely to see him develop. Liked him for his ‘old fashioned’ type, still has a pleasing head although eyes could be darker. Well laid shoulders although I would prefer more forechest. Lovely topline through to good rear angles, moves with drive but a touch wide coming on. RBOB
2nd Ferguson Julita Raindance at Teaselwood. 2yr Pretty, feminine B with a sweet expression. Clean neck into well laid shoulders but lacks forechest. Very fine throughout and lacks spring of rib. Good rear angles but a little lack lustre on the move today.

1st Woodhams’ Glynell Jiffy. Another I have judged a few times and recall giving him BOB as a Junior. Now 6yrs and fully mature he has turned into quite the showman. Lovely type and shape, clean through neck into super, well muscled forequarters with well laid shoulders and good forechest. Deep ribs with good spring, short coupled to a well muscled rear, Correct tailset and carriage. What a mover, true with drive and plenty of enthusiasm. BOB

Clean neck into well laid shoulders, well sprung ribs of good depth. Level topline to a well set and well carried tail. Lovely rear angles, moves with ease, true coming and going with good drive. 1st Webber’s Aligngriffs Djimaliko AW(B) - Korthais Griffon. 4yr Masculine D with a well furnished head of good shape, dark eye and soft expression. Short strong neck into well laid shoulders. Would like a little more forechest. Well sprung ribs reaching to elbow, slight slope to topline. Correct moderate rear angles. Moved true with good drive.

1st Kaye, Bryne & Barclay’s Bryanelly Woody among Nizzana – Portuguese Pointer. What a lovely 4yr D. Super head of correct proportions with square muzzle. Hazel eyes and an alert expression. Super forequarters with well laid shoulders and good forechest. Deep well-sprung ribs under a level topline. Good bone. Broad well angled rear with good muscle. Easy true mover with reach and drive. BIR.

What a superb class this was. So many quality dogs.
1st Bavin & Austin’s Rojoys Chase The Dream JW ShCM - Spaniel (Cocker). Oh my. This 7yr B is just so full of type, love her shape. Feminine through head with dark eyes and an enquiring expression. Clean neck into well laid shoulders, good forechest and a well boned straight front. Level toppling to a rounded, well angled rear. On the move she excels, typical bustle missing in so many these days, true all round with reach and drive.
2nd Strevens Sh Ch Erikachen Conaire at Tollisty JW ShCM ShCEx VW – Retrieve (Nova Scotia Duck Tolling). I have liked this boy for much of his career and he still has it. Masculine head of good shape, well made forequarters, level topline with Spring and depth of rib. Good rear angles and still moves so well.

Gp 1 Horler’s Hernwood Jack O’Lantern by Rackens JW - Gordon Setter. This 4yr D stood out and commands attention. Lovely outline, clean neck to a very well made forequarters with good forechest. Level topline to a well angled rear. Super mover, true with drive, powered round the big ring and could not be denied.
Gp 2 Norbury & Adams’ Heartbury Northern Lights JW – Pointer. A lovely 22mth orange/White B. Feminine with lovely clean lines. Loved her shape and outline. Super forequarters, deep chest, correct spring of rib, straight topline with only a slight slope, super rear angles with good turn of stifle. Moves with correct reach and drive.
