Pastoral Group – Breeds & groups + Tibetan Spaniels and Stakes

Tibetan Spaniel:

It was lovely to have the chance to judge the Tibetan Spaniels – a task I always enjoy.

Puppy (0)

Special Yearling (2)

1. Bevis’ Skyvana Free Spirit of Starlance. Sable with dark overlay. Very nice head with good ear set and sufficient underjaw. Nice overall balance, good bone and the most lovely feet! The better mover in this class.

2. Rice’ Parloueve Back To Black of Ricox JW. Very nice B/T with good outline. Good in head with lovely expression. Sound on the move, but just going a little close behind today.

Post Graduate (2)

1. Penny’s Chenrezi Ti Amo. 3yo cream with the prettiest of heads and good chin. Very typy with good bone and lovely feet. Moved out well.

2. Wayman’s Mynapaw Perfect Melody. Attractive head but not the chin of 1. Lovely bone and good feet and moved soundly.

Limit (3)

1. Clover’s Chenrezi No Ordinary Love. Glamorous but not overdone, pale gold coat with black mask. Lovely head, good chin. Overall outline very pleasing with good bone and feet. Very sound on the move.

2. Wayman’s Mynapaw Perfect Symphony. Neat and unfussy, well put together exhibit. When animated she looked the part – but her mind was elsewhere I think. Very sound and good to watch on the move.

Open (4) Really nice class.

1. Rice’ Ricox All About Love JW. Lovely bitch with super head, good chin. Pleasing front and rear angulation and in lovely body condition. Good bone and feet. Correct coat was well presented. Moved out really well. BOB.

1. Lee’s Aoiristar Hunters Moon Over Amenbury (imp). Natural bob. Very smart boy of good make and shape; lovely head, correct front and rear angulation, good bone and feet. Moved out well. BOB

1. Lee’s Villanyda Wizards Apprentice for Amenbury (imp Est) Black tri with good copper markings. Slightly rangy in outline but shown in great condition and presented well. Moved out soundly.

1. Richards’ Birkcross Secret Agent with Aussiame (imp Est). Pretty blue merle with good head properties, bite correct. Liked her overall balanced outline. Nice for bone. Good coat, well presented. Moved ok. RBOB.

Border Collie:

1. Taylor’s Darian End Game. 17 mo b/w male of good, workmanlike type. Liked his head and keen expression. Moved very well. RBOB.

2. Stenhouse’ Taranza Winter Eclipse. Very pretty 8 mo puppy bitch, just right for age. Neat and nothing exaggerated. Very nice outline. Moved very well. BPIB. Puppy Group 2.

1. Lampier’s Pencoppen Good Timin’. Lovely 3yo male with correct head and intelligent expression. Loved his overall balance and his lovely front and rear angulation. Super b/w coat in first class condition. Correct bone for size. Lovely sound mover. BOB.

2. Hartfield’s Moshanta May Contain Nuts. Another nice boy, but just lacking the ‘finish’ of 1. Good make and shape and moved out well.

Collie (Rough):

Post Graduate (8,2). Class very mixed for type.

1. Ross’ Most Majestic Timeless Touch at Samshernik (imp Hun). Very nice sable bitch. Good head planes with sweet expression. Nice front, good outline. Good coat which was presented well. Nothing overdone. Made a lovely picture standing and moved out soundly. BOB.

2. Congdon’s Millubie Essence of Magic (imp Serb) NAF TAF. Lovely tri puppy bitch with most appealing head and in great puppy coat, good construction and moved so soundly for one so young. BPIB.

1. Scamps’ Aaronwell Ayebeecee at Marketdene. Black tri male, just entering veteran stage. Lovely head and expression.. I liked his overall make and shape and really good muscle tone. Movement a little tentative to start with but warmed up well and moved soundly. RBOB

2. Mills’ Samhaven Super Natural at Willowcombe. Very pretty merle bitch who presented lovely picture standing; neat bone and good muscle. Unfortunately was lazy on the move and this told against her.

1. Scamp’s Stregato The Maleficent at at Marketdene. In my opinion the best of heads – pretty and feminine with good planes. Super dark sable coat which was well presented. Good body and muscle tone. On the move she was sound but lacked drive.

Collie (Smooth)

Post Graduate (2,1)

1. Riva’s Manordeifi Rock On. Masculine sable boy showing good outline and nice bone. Impression of ‘strength’. Very fit and moved out well. RBOB.

1. Beeney’s Coneypark Golden Brown. Lovely breed type on this very pretty sable. Neat in frame, but workmanlike. Lovely strong rear. Really sound on the move. BOB.

2. Denton’s Ch Brackenhaye Fields of Gold. Lovely boy who was totally unimpressed with this showing lark today. Super outline, nice bone. Made a good picture on the stand and moved out with ease.

Welsh Corgi (Cardigan)

1. Siviter’s Faywaidd Spice. Very attractive head on this nice 4 yo brindle girl – good skull, ears well placed. The most lovely front and good length overall. Moved round the ring so very soundly. RBOB.

2. Lee’s Chrishama Magic Apprentice for Amenbury. Another brindle - very masculine young male. Strong head, very good ears. Of good proportions. Moved very soundly.

3. Keable’s Noah Arrakis. Lovely dog puppy of 6 months. Good merle coat. Lovely head with ears to grow into and his blue eyes giving him a piercing look! Really lovely picture and so fit for a baby. Moved nicely. Very promising. BPIB.

Open (2) Two very nice boys.

1. Siviter’s Rubegud Takin The Mick ShCM. Mature brindle male with a determined outlook. Very good proportions overall, with correct head and good ears. Very sound on the move. Really liked him and was surprised to find him a senior dog as his energy and attitude belies his age. BOB. Group 3.

2. Lee’s Wildcard Spot Check for Horcrux. 5 yo blue merle male. Another very nice boy – with all the breed attributes in place. Lovely head and ears and great Cardigan temperament. Moved out well.

Bearded Collie:

1. Patterson’s Corimist Musical Soul at Eltimaris. Very nice 7yo bitch who really shouted breed type for me. Good head of required strength but feminine; body long and lean and fit. Good double coat, well presented. On the move she scored – smooth and covering the ground. BOB.

2. Webb’s Megamaree Just Amazing JW ShCM ShCEx. 7 yo male. Fit and beautifully presented. He displayed good breed type but was not as settled as 1 today. Very sound on the move. RBOB

Finnish Lapphund:

Limit (1)

1. Rudd’s Infindigo Lintu Henkka. Well made 5 yo male. Loved his head, correct for eye shape and ear set and good skull to muzzle proportions and lovely expression. Good neck, moderate angulation, correct overall proportions with sufficient leg length. Fit for function boy who moved out soundly. BOB.

Open (3) Nice class to judge.

1. Treasure’s Infindigo Riemu Emmi ShCM. Lovely mature (10yo) bitch demonstrating the lasting qualities of the ‘northern’ breeds. I loved her for her ‘moderation’ – nothing exaggerated – and so fit. Her attractive colour and well presented coat is icing on the cake, but she looked a picture. Still really sound, moving out around the ring. RBOB.

2. Rutter & Mortimer-Hampson’s Lapponia Lunar Cosmos. Handsome young male with good head. Taller dog – but still good type and overall proportions. Good bone and feet. Very sound on the move.

3. Cooper, Cooper & Critchlow’s Ch Pavoskas Aly Arttu JW, ShCM, ShCEx

German Shepherd:

Was lovely to have sound moving dogs of good type and strength all through.

Post Graduate (3,1)

1. Morton-Hadley’s Kingsfrome End Of An Era. Handsome youngster with good head and ears. On the stand displayed the correct proportions and topline. On the move he maintained the topline and moved out well with sufficient strength in the rear.

2. Konsina’s Bejla Ravson. Another ‘junior’ and still developing in body. She does present a balanced picture on the stand. She was a little uncertain today, but once she settled she moved out well.

1. Shaw’s Astradine Kornishman JW ShCM. 7yo male, gold with black saddle. Of lovely make and shape. Presented in lovely condition. On the stand showed off his great topline, which he kept when on the move. Very sound, strong in rear, and coped well with the ring, which was not big. BOB.

2. Shaw’s Astradine Knight Prince. Slightly finer all through than 1, but of good proportions and displaying a pleasing outline. Very sound. Pleased to give him RBOB.

1. Haensel’s Sherkarl Copper Load Of This. Very pretty sable bitch puppy. Lovely ears and head developing nicely. I liked her overall balance, general construction, and her neat bone and good feet. Looked the part in well prepared coat. Didn’t disappoint on the move which was smooth and light. Nice package. BPIB.

1. Mitchell & Fiddock’s Lowenek Coco. Was really taken with this 2yo merle bitch. Feminine head with good ears and correct skull to muzzle proportion. Her head markings were very striking, adding, not detracting from her overall picture. Lovely proportions, good coat, well presented. On the move she was so sound. Couldn’t get past her for BOB.

2. Freeman’s Saxonoak Theme For a Dream over Lanteague. Another smart merle – young male looking very smart. Good ears and head properties, correct in body and bone. Moved soundly.

1. Mitchell &* Fiddock’s Milesend Thistle at Lowenek. 5yo merle bitch with a neat and workmanlike appearance. Pretty feminine head, lovely eye and ear. Nice for bone, good feet and very sound on the move.

2. Hirst’s Sundark Spirit Mistress. Attractive young bitch of smaller stature. Very pretty and feminine when animated. Substantial coat which was well presented. Neat and sound on the move.

3. Moore’s Frecia Lock Down Wonder at Santiara

1. Moore’s Jacanshe Be Our Guest at Santiara JW. Smart 4yo male. Well marked black tri coat, well presented. Loved his head with correct eye and good ears. Good arch of neck leading into well proportioned body. Looked a picture and was a pleasure to go over. Moved out well. Pleased to award him BOB.

2. Hirst’s Sundark Simply A Star. Very pretty and feminine bitch of 10 years – but certainly holding her own here. Loved her shape and balance. Very sound on the move.

Lovely strong bone and good feet. Somewhat enthusiastic on the move, but could see his soundness and power. BPIB and RBOB. Puppy Group 4.

2. Pack’s Xanova She Is The One. Lovely, enthusiastic bitch pup with lovely head and super outline. Brought the bounce with her today – but moved very well when settled. BPIB.

1. O’Neill & Lawless’ Revlock Quentin Tarentino (IKC)***. 3 yo male of very good type. Handsome in head with balance of skull to muzzle, elegant and masculine. Standing made a very pleasing outline and correct for bone and feet. Lovely character. Moved out well, brisk and free. BOB

2. England’s Ch Chrisvale Loving Feeling with Vanistica. Lovely 9 yo bitch with so much to like. Super make and shape. Today she was a little unsettled – but she moved well when she relaxed.

1. Craker’s Fostebrie Just Exquisite of Crakebrie. Only a young dog but very impressive. Handsome head, good length of neck and great topline. Correct angulation front and rear. Shows required substance. Moved out well. BOB.

2. Sweet’s Arundal Ebony. Feminine but strong bitch giving an impression of power. Super coat over her very nice frame. Moved well.

1. Hillier, Rogers &Gardner’s Charson This Is Me. Fawn with dark shading. Lovely, solid dog in hard condition. Coat of good texture. Pleasing head, good neck and correct topline. Moved out well. RBOB.

2. Howe’s Danga’s Diva X-Dotter of Valler (imp Swe) (Swedish Vallhund). Well proportioned and of nice size with good body, bone and feet. She was sound on the move, good in profile but moving a little wide in front.

Thoroughly enjoyed this opportunity to judge this breed, which had the Import Register classes to themselves today!

1. Ridgewell’s Brigam Snow Blanket (Swiss White Shepherd). 18 mo male. Lovely strong shepherd with good rectangular outline. Handsome head, super construction with good front and lovely topline, sufficient bone. Good double coat of correct texture. Very sound on the move.RBOB.

2. Hackney’s Of Trebons Berger Blanc Boo Naf (Swiss White Shepherd). Quality dog puppy of lovely outline, developing well. Was happier playing the fool than showing off, but once settled he moved well and is very sound. BPIB . Puppy Group 3.

1. Etches & Perry’s Starvon Easy On The I Edison (Swedish Vallhund). Lovely Vallhund puppy dog. The most attractive head with lovely ears. Sturdy outline on the classy pup, super coat over solid body and good topline. Nice length of leg. On the move he was so steady and sound. Loved him.
