Cesky Terriers & Soft-Coated Wheaten Terriers

I would like to thank the Officers and Committee for inviting me to judge at this show. I would also like to thank my Steward Suzi Gale for keeping thing running smoothly. The Committee are to be congratulated on the running of the show considering the problems they had to contend with. I would add that the absence of floor mats did adversely affect several dogs’ movement due to the slippery floor.

Cesky Terriers.

Junior, (2, 1a), 1, Goundry’s Komidion Symphoniques at Sarminija, 12 month Bitch. Judged this one earlier this year and she has developed into a well-balanced young lady, good feminine head with good mouth, well made front, good reach of neck, held topline on the move with good tail carriage, moved well both out and in profile. Pleased to give her BoB.

Open, (2, 1a),1, Goundry’s Komidion Rimsky Korsakov at Sarminija, 3 year old Dog, not giving of his best today. Good head proportions with neat well placed ears, good mouth, good shoulders, well ribbed, struggled with the slippery floor so hard to assess his movement properly, sadly kept his tail down most of the time. Soft-Coated Wheaten Terriers.

Puppy, (1), 1, Hughlock’s Keevasdream Ballerina Blue, well balanced 10 month Bitch, full of Wheaten exuberance, good head with correct mouth and nice dark eye, neat ears, good reach of neck, good topline, good coat of dark wheaten colour, good tail carriage, moved well both out and back and in profile. BP

Junior, (1), 1, Munn’s Snowmeadow Treacle Toffee, 12 month Bitch, another full of Wheaten exuberance, good head proportions with nice dark eye, good reach of neck and shoulders, well ribbed, good coat of a paler wheaten colour, good tail carriage, she struggled with the slippery floor so hard to assess movement properly.

Open, (4, 2a), 1, Hughlock’s Janeyjimjams Jolene at Keevasdream. 8 year old Bitch carries her age well, feminine, well balanced bitch. Nicely proportioned head, still with good mouth, dark eye, neat ears, good coat of ripening wheat colour, good topline, moved with drive both out and in profile with well carried tail. Pleased to award her BoB. 2, Munn’s Snowmeadow Suzy Sixpence, 5 year old Bitch, another well balanced bitch, though of slightly heavier cast, good head with correct mouth and well-placed ears, good reach of neck, well sprung ribs, good topline, another that struggled with the floor, consequently not moving as well as I know she is able to. She did manage to maintain a good tail carriage. RBoB
