My thanks to the Officers & Committee for inviting me to judge this show, and many thanks to my steward for keeping the ring flowing. Quite a mixture of dogs present, so some thought was needed. My thanks to the exhibitors who entered.

Minor Puppy Dog (5,0)

1st Lambert’s Dommari Hilton at Perrofina (Imp) NAF TAF – 8 mth old orange, lovely overall shape, lovely head, good muzzle & eye, tiny ears, lovely front & rear, good tail set, good ribbing, moved well.

2nd D’arcys Altina’s Peter Pan at Paavali – 8 mth old black, another lovely shape, & make, eye was a touch rounder, and needs to strengthen up on front, good ribbing, nice rear, good topline & tailset, moved well

3rd Killicks Love of my Life at Travillon (NAF TAF)

Puppy (3,1)

1st Cawthera-Purdys Lireva’s Finders Keepers – 11 mth old Orange, lovely short coupled male, lovely head with good eye & expression, lovely ear set, good stop and muzzle, good angles front and rear, lovely tail set, good rear, lovely on the move, keeping that “ball” like shape, pleased to award him Best Puppy Dog, Reserve Best Dog and ultimately BPIS

2nd Goochs Paavali’s Paddington at Casibawn – 9 mth old cream, touch longer cast than 1st, lovely head, with good eye and expression, need to widen a touch on front, and through the ribbing, nice tail set, nice angulation, in good coat, pleasing profile movement giving more away with maturity.

Junior Dog (2,0)

1st Pike & Carters Reta’s Sex in Flames at Breezelyn – 14 mth old black, nice compact male, lovely head with good eye & expression, lovely ear set, enough neck, would like a touch more width on front, nice ribbing, good topline & tailset, good rear, just needs a bit more confidence on the move.

2nd Hills Sharhazlah Kamikaz Devil – another black boy of 13 mths, didn’t have the daintiness of 1, had more of a domed skull, which resulted in a rounder eye, nice length of neck, pleasing angles front & rear, needs to mature in body, wasn’t co-operating with handler on the move.

Novice Dog (1,0)

1st D’arcys Paavali’s Rocket Man – 13 mth old sable, lovely overall shape & balance, pleasing head, with good eye & expression, lovely muzzle, good eye & ear, perhaps could be a touch daintier in bone, lovely profile and rear movement, just needs to settle a bit on front.

Undergraduate Dog (2,0)

1st D’arcys Paavali’s Rocket Man – Repeat

2nd Hills Sharhazlah Luvs a Dare Devil – 13 mth old sable, again, touch heavy in head, resulting in a rounder eye, would like more spring of rib, pleasing top line, parallel front and rear, ok on the move.

Post Graduate Dog (3,0)

1st Pike & Carters Breezelyns Time To Shine – 2 yr old orange sable, nice size & bone, pleasing head, would like a touch more width between ears, nice eye, good neck going into pleasing front, good ribbing, nice rear, good tailset, touch close on rear.

2nd Goochs Paavali’s Night King at Cassibawn – 3 yr old orange sable, bigger dog and longer cast. Pleasing head, eye touch round. Good skull & ear set, nice front & rear angles, nice on the move

Limit Dog (3,1)

1st Pike & Carters Breezelyn Ginvincible – Sable of 2 yrs old, lovely overall shape, lovely head, good eye, lovely ears and good muzzle, lovely neck going into good shoulders, good front, & rear, holding good topline and tailset, good ribbing, moved well, pleased to award him Best Dog & Reserve Best in Show.

2nd Hills Sharhazlah’s Suave Devil – 2 yr old orange, close decision between 1 & 2, very nice dog overall, just preferred the eye shape and the ribbing of 1. Moved well.

Open Dog (4,0)

1st Pike & Carters Breezelyn Latin Gigalo – 3 yr old sable, very much a Pom, lovely head, with good ear set, lovely eye shape, good muzzle, touch narrow in front, but lovely body with good ribbing, lovely rear angles, good topline and tailset, moved well, if somewhat reluctantly at times.

2nd Simmons Petitpom Legend of Love JW – another lovely sable and again, a close decision, pleasing head, again similar in front to 1, nice body and rear, good tailset, slightly longer cast which swayed decision, moved well.

3rd Killicks Tiny Jewel’s A Kind of Magic at Travillon (Imp)

Special Beginners (2,0)

1st Goochs Ta Bozi’s Hippe Are Back in Fashion at Cassibawn (Imp) – 2 yr old orange, nice overall shape, head good, nice ears, nice eye shape, muzzle a bit chunky, nice front and rear, good tailset, pleasing on the move.

2nd Booths Cagneys Black Jack – 5 yr old black, touch spitzy, nice overall body shape, good eye and and ear, ok for front & rear, very choppy on the move.

1st Simmons Sueacres Legend of the Fall (Naf) – 6 mth old orange sable, lovely overall shape, lovely head, with lovely eye and expression, good ear set, good front, lovely body & ribbing, in good coat, lovely tailset & rear, moved well

2nd Cawthera-Purdys Lireva’s Gloria Swanson – another lovely pup, super head & eye, good ribbing, topline & tailset, good rear, wasn’t as definite on the move as 1, slightly longer cast.

3rd D’arcys Paavali’s Arya’s Heart N Soul

1st Fox’s Okean Rvezd Offer of Hope at Foxlyn (Imp) – cream sable of 9 mths, lovely overall shape, pleasing head, good ear, lovely eye & expression, good front & rear angles, good ribbing, good topline and tailset, moved well, won Best Puppy Bitch and Reserve Best Puppy in Show

2nd Websters Trenarwyn Heart of Dreams – 9 mth old black, more Spitzy in head, rounder eye than 1, touch more longer cast, pleasing front angulation, good ribbing, & tailset, nice rear, needs to be steadier on the move

1st Richards Auberge Agatha at Pomalucci (NAF) – 12 mth old orange sable, lovely compact body, lovely head, with good eye & expression, good ear set, correct muzzle, good neck, nice width of front, good ribbing, lovely short rib, good rear, good tailset, moved well, pleased to award her Reserve Best Bitch

2nd Matthew-Jones Lireva’s Quintessence – 12 mth old orange sable, slightly longer cast than 1 but has lovely head & expression, front a touch narrow at the moment, good rear, nice ribbing, good tailset, moved well.

1st Smiths Sueacres Code Name Vera – 8 mth old orange, pleasing overall shape, lovely head & eye, good muzzle, lovely ear set, good front, nice ribbing, good topline & tailset, moved well

2nd Van De Burgt & Stranges Norvanik Déjà vu – didn’t stop for critic

Undergraduate Bitch (3,1)

1st Simmons Petitpom Sunrise – sable of 2 ½ yr old, nice size & balance, pleasing overall size, feminine, good head with correct ear & eye, lovely expression, muzzle could be a touch shorter, touch wide on front, really good ribbing, nice rear, good topline & tailset, moved well when settled.

2nd Hills Sharhazlah Devilish Vixen – black, very hyper which spoilt overall balance, touch longer cast, would like a slightly more oval eye, to complete the expression, nice skull, and good ear set, nice front and rear, nice in profile movement, very close on rear

Post Graduate Bitch (1,0)

1st Pikes & Carters Breezelyn Rock Chick – 2 ½ yr old orange, nice size & balance, pleasing head, with good skull, good ear set, nice muzzle, nice angles front & rear, pleasing on the move, just lacking coat, which would finish off the picture.

Limit Bitch (2,0)

1st James, Darcy & Duffields Angelrock Bringing Up Baby – 18 mth old lovely overall shape & make, beautiful head, good skull, good ear set, good eye & expression, front a touch wide, lovely topline & tailset, good rear, good ribbing, moved well, pleasing to award her Best Bitch and Best in Show.

2nd Cawthera-Purdys Lireva’s Tessa Fly the Bear – 22 mth old orange, another lovely head with good eye and ear, front a touch narrow, nice ribbing, good tailset, good rear, moved ok, just needs a touch more coat to give that overall look.

1st Fleetwoods Spanapoms A Taste of Honey at Auberge – 4 yr old, nice size, pleasing head, good expression, good ear set, correct muzzle, nice front, good ribbing, good tailset, nice rear, moved well, although a touch close on front.

2nd Smiths Petitpom Sunset at Sueacres – orange sable, longer cast bitch, but pleasing head, good eye & ear, correct muzzle, nice front & rear, good ribbing, ok on the move, kept putting brakes on!

Special Beginners Bitch (3,2)

1st Booths Reta’s True Destiny for Cagneys – 4 yr old orange, nice overall size & balance, pleasing head with good expression, ears a touch close together, nice neck & front, ok for ribbing, nice rear, very busy on the move.

1st Smiths Ch Taa Palatis Under a Glass Moon at Sueacres (Imp) – 8 yr old cream, lovely size & balance, eye a touch round, but good ear, skull & muzzle, pleasing front, plenty of ribbing & short loin, nice rear, looked like a ball! Moved well for age

2nd Fleetwoods Abbeyleigh Smartypom – nearly 8 yr old, light orange, another lovely girl, pleasing head with correct expression, correct eye & ear set, pleasing muzzle, ok for ribbing & loin, touch straight on the rear, & just preferred movement on 1.

Special Member’s CC Winners & Champions Open D/B

1st Ch Lireva’s Wildest Dreams – one I have judged before and he didn’t disappoint today. 2 yr old orange dog, beautiful to go over, lovely head and expression, good front & rear, enough neck, good ribbing & loin, lovely tailset, moved well.
