Dukeries [Notts] Gundog Club

DUKERIES - GOLDEN RETRIEVERS 26.2.2022


Many thanks to the committee for the invitation to judge and to my stewards for their help on the day. Thanks also to all the exhibitors for their entries.


Puppy:  

 Millington’s Golmas Guard of Honour at Jarabees - at 7 months old, this lovely baby boy caught my eye from the first glance with his happy expression and balanced angulation throughout. He has lovely feet, with good bone and holds his topline well on the move, won the class on his movement today and I look forward to seeing him develop BP

Clarkson’s Drumkilty Venetian Glass - this pretty girl was beautifully presented, at 7 months she has a pretty feminine head and good pigment, lovely flow of neck, with good angulation throughout presenting a balanced outline and moving well, another one to watch.


Junior:

 Gerhold’s Navillis Nouveau Venu - standing alone in this class this lovely boy was immaculately presented and in great condition, with a masculine head and kind expression, he has good angulation with well bent stifle and moved with drive around the ring.


Special Yearling:

Copley’s Monchique Dragonheart for Emmabbe JW - at 20 months old this compact mid gold dog presented a balance outline, straight front and back, with good shoulders, short coupled and moved nicely.


Postgraduate:

 Foreman’s Amersun Heart of Gold - this beautiful golden girl in lovely coat and condition has the most balanced outline, the prettiest of heads with kind expression and dark pigment, she has good reach of neck flowing into a level topline and excellent angulation throughout. Keeping her shape on the move and really settling well in the challenge to move effortlessly around the ring, delighted to award BOB. 

Smith’s Thornywait Illuminati at Goldmarker - this well presented mid gold boy has the most masculine head with the kindest of expressions. He has strong neck into well laid back shoulders and a level topline with good tailset. Well angulated and moved with purpose around the ring.


Limit:

 Foreman’s Ambersun Heart and Soul - this exuberant gold boy with his handsome, masculine head and happy expression gave his handler a challenge at times today. He has good bone and presents a balanced outline with lovely angulation and excellent topline which held as he moved with drive.

King’s Pajula Little Miss Princess - this finer built golden girl has a lovely feminine head with soft expression, straight in front with good reach of neck and good spring of ribs, she moved steadily round the ring.


Open:

 Youngson’s Linirgor Teacher’s Pet at Treesville JW - a dog I have admired who did not disappoint, lovely feminine head and good neck into well laid back shoulders, she has a balanced outline with excellent angulation, level topline, straight fore and aft, she moved effortlessly and could not be denied this class, pleased to award RBOB

Gerhold’s Jaymardy Indigo Pacific JW - large framed boy showing maturity in full pale coat, pushed 1 hard in this class, he has a masculine head with gentle expression, he has a balanced outline and is short coupled. He was presented in excellent condition, moved out well with drive
