Puppy Dog (3,1)

Spurr’s Zilcan Gin Ricky. Quality, well schooled 11month r/r who presents a nicely balanced outline with good substance and carrying a lovely harsh coat. Appealing expression, correctly placed nose with wide open nostrils, well placed dark eyes, good turn up, prominent chin and neat lips, could have smaller ears. Soundly made with good neck and shoulders, good chest and ribbing for age, firm topline with tail set high and correctly angulated rear. Moved accurately and effortlessly holding his outline firm, easily one of the best moving of the entry. Delightful temperament, obviously eager to please and well handled to get the best out of him. Still has maturing to do but deserved to take RBD, RBIS and BPIS in this entry.

Mercer’s Fennymore Walnut. A larger and heavier r/r who wasn’t as settled as 1. Masculine head with good turn up. Good topline, tailset and carriage, well sprung ribs and strong loin. Moved soundly, accurate going away.

Junior Dog (3,1)

Spurr’s Z. Gin Ricky. See pd

Fernyhough’s Beauborne Obama at Fernstaff. Nice b/t sm who didn’t have his mind on the job and wasn’t making the best of himself. Squarely built and cobby with good chest and ribbing, sound front and rear assembly, short loin, level topline and correctly set tail. Correctly shaped head with high set ears, definite stop, open nostrils, round dark eyes and decent turnup. Looked good on the move when he did concentrate. Lovely temperament, just needs a bit more training.

Yearling Dog (2)

Fernyhough’s Sharnese A Kind of Magic. B/t rough, a little tall so not square enough in outline but has good spring of rib, well angulated rear and high set tail. Nice head and expression with high set ears, well spaced dark eyes, good turn up and neat lips. Moved well, accurate in all directions, in nice harsh coat.

Wood’s Union Grif Steep Pontas Delightbull (imp Rus). Small, squarely built r/r but doesn’t have the bone or substance. Good neck, topline and tail. Sweet face with good ears, round eyes and prominent chin.

Post Grad Dog (1)

Potts’ Adreeam Secret Affair. 22month r/r of a nice size, square in outline with good neck, nice substance and bone, well angulated rear and high set tail. Lovely head and expression with round eyes, definite stop, dense pigment, well placed nose with good nostrils and good turnup. Moved freely just lacking a bit of confidence to make more of himself.

Sp. Open Smooth Dog (1)

Suggitt’s Aptrick One Day Like This. Square and cobby bl/sm dog with lovely chest and ribbing, short loin, firm topline, good front and rear assembly. Masculine head with round eyes that could be a touch darker, definite stop, good turn up and neat lips. Moved freely with good drive holding his outline firm. Well schooled and handled.

Sp. Open Red Rough Dog (4,1)

Gullon’s Ch. Barnfall Sunshine Jw Shcex. Quality r/r who was the standout dog on the day. Lovely for size, substance and type. Small, square and cobby with a large masculine head, correctly shaped with lovely dark eyes, short muzzle, well turned up with prominent chin, definite stop, black nose with open nostrils. Soundly made throughout with enough neck, good front and rear angulation, firm level topline, deep, well sprung ribs, wide chest, short loin and well muscled rear. Moved well with good drive behind, settled as the class progressed and was much happier when he returned for the challenge. In super coat and condition, every inch the champion. BD, BIS.

Suggitt’s Ir. Ch. Aptrick Time For Elevenses CW19. 5yr old r/r, small and in super condition with a lovely temperament. Lovely head and expression with dark round eyes, well placed nose with definite stop, good turn up and small high set ears. Neat outline, just not quite as cobby as 1 and a fraction longer in loin. Good rear angulation, good bone and feet. Moved happily covering the ground well, considered him for rbd.

Potts’ A. Secret Affair.

Veteran Dog/Bitch (3,1)

Scott’s Samaranda’s Merry Mayhem. Bl/r bitch nearing 12.5yrs who still obviously loves her time in the ring. Small and cobby with lovely ribbing and substance, good front and rear angulation, still holding a good topline. Cheeky expression with dark round eyes, neat high set ears, short muzzle with good turn up. Moved soundly. BVIS

Scott’s Samaranda Has a Dream. Another Bl/r this one a touch smaller but not quite as square and cobby. Lovely attitude and temperament, nice head and expression with dark eyes and small ears. Moved confidently around the ring.

Minor Puppy Bitch (3,2)

Cooper’s Griffwood Loopy About Eevee. 6month r/r with the most delightful temperament. Small and compact with good chest and ribbing for age, short loin, topline needs to settle and tail is set a little low but overall presents a nicely balance outline. Very sweet feminine head with beautiful large dark eyes, dense pigment, definite stop and good turnup. Moved with purpose holding her outline firm, in well presented rough coat. Perfectly schooled and handled. BPB, RBPIS.

Puppy Bitch (2,1)

Fernyhough’s Somershire’s Freezya at Sharnese (imp) 10 month r/r who unfortunately was not cooperating with her handler and didn’t make the best account of herself! It was a shame as she was a nice type with lovely cobby body, well angulated fore and aft with broad chest, good spring of rib and level topline. Pleasing head with short muzzle, decent turn up and small ears. In nice harsh coat and good condition, just needs more confidence.

Yearling Bitch (1)

Gullon’s Barnfall Tilly Trotter. r/r not in her best coat. Another who needs more confidence. Feminine head with dark round eyes, good turnup with prominent chin, open nostrils and definite stop. Sturdily built with good chest and ribbing, short loin, level topline, tail set a touch low but is carried well. Much happier on the floor than the table and moved well around the ring, accurate up and back.

Post Grad Bitch (2)

Pott’s Adreeam Contessa. R/sm with nicely balanced outline and good substance. Ample reach of neck, good front assembly, broad chest, well sprung ribs, strong loin and well turned stifles. Rounded head with alert expression, well spaced round eyes, dense pigment and neatly finished lips, ears set high but could be smaller. A free, accurate gait on the move and although at first wasn’t using tail as she relaxed it came up and she displayed an attractive outline. RBB.

Wood’s Delightbull My Sunshine. R/r who wasn’t very happy, small and square in outline but could be cobbier. Pretty head with good turnup and round dark eyes, ears too big. Moved ok.

Sp. Open Smooth Bitch (2)

Gullon’s Datiro Chickadee JW. Quality red who was easily the best bitch present. Such a great temperament, confident, alert and a real little showoff! Smart outline, well balanced and squarely built with good bone and substance, good neck and shoulders, firm level topline and high set tail carried well. Super chest and ribbing with short, strong loin and well muscled rear. Appealing head and expression, correctly shaped and set out with dark round eyes, lovely turn up, chin and neatly finished lips, dense pigment and high set ears. Moved with confidence and accuracy holding her outline firm. In super condition. BB, BOS.

Potts’ Donzeata Royal Affair. Another red with good substance, well off for bone, well muscled rear and level topline. Correctly shaped head with dark eyes, well set ears, short muzzle and open nostrils. Moved soundly.
