Mid herts gundog club Sunday 30th October 2022 Judge Leanne Challands (Annilann) Thank you for the committee for inviting me to judge, had a wonderful day, the atmosphere was so lovely and friendly. Very pleased with the quality of exhibits, equally with the dogs I put through to BIS & BPIS. Oh and the food was brilliant, always a bonus. Clumber spaniel Special yearling (3,0) 1st Sainsbury’s, Wooliebourne Nick of Time. Pleasing head of good proportions and kind expression with eyelids being neat, strong neck, ribs well sprung for age, hocks straight when viewed from behind, well off for bone throughout, moved happy. BPIB, RBOB & shortlisted for BPIS. 2nd Mayes’s, Abbyford Lady Little Hound of Wooliebourne. Sweet headed bitch, kind expression, nice eyes, well set ears, strong neck into well laid shoulders, well off for bone throughout, preferred overall outline of 1. 3rd Antieu’s, Maursett Marceline. I don’t normally do 3rd critiques but this puppy was just beautiful, full of life and giving her handler a very hard time, although I cant complain at being licked to death, what a cutie, please keep at it, if you can get some ring etiquette you will have some fun with her. Limit (1,0) 1st Thorogood’s, Anbrook Don’t Stop me Now at Harrifield. Such a handsome headed dog with kind expression, presented a pleasing outline, well set ears, strong neck into well laid shoulders, ribs well sprung, well off for bone throughout, coupled with impressive muscle tone, what a powerhouse, moved with drive. BOB. Field Spaniel Junior (2,0) 1st Macbain & Brewer’s, Fecimus Son of a Gun. Beautiful head, well chiselled, tight eye and sweet expression, straight flat boned front, good depth of chest with decent spring of rib for age, tight rounded feet, absolutely stunning on the moved. BP & a wonderful BPIS3. 2nd Macbain & Brewer’s, Fecimus N’Nautica Whoopie on the Beach (IMP USA) NAF. Very pretty well chistled head, with the sweetest of expressions, correct through topline and strong in loin, moved ok when settled. Open (3,0) 1st Macbain & Brewer’s, AM/CAN/UKC CH Fecimus Written in the Stars. Beautiful head of good proportions with nice chiselling, tight almond eye with soft sweet expression, flat straight boned front, good spring to rib, well muscled throughout, strong in loin, good bend to stifle, moved with style. BOB & Delighted to see BIS3. 2nd Shipton’s, Broomeece Fire Cracker over Mishules. Loved this boys head, handsomely beautiful head of good proportions with nice chiselling, well off for bone throughout, flat straight boned front, decent spring to rib, good bend to stifle, just lost out to 1 on movement. RBOB 3rd Tye’s, SH CH Thandiwe Last Tango of Tymora ShCM. Sussex Spaniel Junior (3,0) 1st Beecham’s, Meggamooch Xanadu at Rydonmist. nice head with wide skull & lovely frowning expression, long strong neck with shoulders well laid, strong body, moderate bend to stifle, hocks let down with lovely big round feet, moved well.RBOB. 2nd Matthews’s, Foxhampton Fits the Bill. Beautiful dog full of breed type, head with wide skull & pronounced stop, lovely frowning expression, strong neck into shoulders which are well laid, good depth & width in front, strong in body, moderate bend to stifle, strong oval boned legs with good length, lovely big round feet, unfortunately couldn’t assess this dogs movement today, I really hope you manage to crack it. 3rd Matthews’s, FoxhamptonFoxy Lady. Special Yearling (2,0) 1st Matthews’s, Foxhampton Fits the Bill. See previous. 2nd Matthews’s, FoxhamptonFoxy Lady. Exactly same attributes as her brother, beautiful brace, again movement let her down for me. Open (1,0) 1st Crumbledor Albus Dumbledor at Rydonmist. Such a handsome head, good width of skull, gentle frowning expression, thick well-set ears, long strong neck, well off for bone and muscle throughout, pleasing length of leg giving a balanced outline, moderate bend of stifle, happy on the move.
