Alaskan Malamute

G (1,0) 1st Holt’s Freezefactor Savvy Affair, 18m dog, well-marked dog of good colour and in good coat, typey head, with good muzzle, dark almond shaped eye, strong neck, well bodied with ribs reaching to elbow, well off for bone, correct sloping topline, good hind angulation, hocks well let down, good tail, young dog just needs to mature and strengthen all round, moved ok.

1st Roper’s GCh Rom Libertia Never Say Never Tokosha (IKC), 2yo male, different type to others in class, not the biggest but powerfully built nonetheless, well-marked, well off for coat, head planes good in profile, dark eye, small triangular ears, strong neck, good bone, tight feet, well ribbed back and depth reaching to elbow, correct topline, hind angulation with well bent stifle, hocks well let down, good tailset, best movement in class being easy and free with drive from hindquarters. BOB.

2nd Blaney’s Viking Fenrir Kin Of Kiyara’s Wolf Pak (imp) ShCEx VW, 10yo balanced male of good type, excellent markings and coat texture, well-proportioned head with lovely dark, obliquely set eyes, strong neck, moderately sloping shoulders, well off for bone, good feet but slightly looser with age, correct topline, moderately bent stifles, hocks well let down, good tailset, a lot to like with this dog, but not the movement of 1, and just giving away a few merits which were age-related in the breed class. AV Working Veteran winner.

1st Morris’s Cwnhapus Innoko, 4yo male, well balanced with correct proportions, good head, dark eye obliquely set, good ear for set and shape, friendly expression, good length and set of neck, well fitted coat although obscures neck line slightly, moderately placed front legs of good bone and correct oval feet, depth of the rib reaching to elbow, good topline, good tailset, well bent stifles and low set hocks, moved very well - free and graceful movement, BOB & G3.

1st Blaney’s SUI/ESP Ch Suna-Sunik’s Electric Noah of Fenrirkin (Imp Nor), 4yo dog, white with black patches, powerful, close coupled dog in excellent coat, well-proportioned head, dark eyes obliquely set, well set ears, alert expression, short, heavy neck, well angulated shoulder with correct upper arm, well boned legs and large feet, well sprung ribs with depth reaching to elbow, level topline, well bent stifles and broad width of thigh, tail well set and bushy, moved with strong drive and purpose. BOB & G4.

1st Wood’s Bernhaus On Oka Fioriana for Bernora, 1 ¾ yo female, balanced and typey in body but a little plain in head, well-marked and in excellent coat and condition, strong neck of correct length, well angulated shoulders, good width of chest, enough bone and lovely compact feet, brisket reaching to elbow, straight topline, moderate hind angulation with great breadth, hocks well let down, good tailset, sound with best movement in class. BOB.

2nd Marshall’s Mountain Chrystal Scarlett At Bernannan (Imp Hun), 14m female, immature as you would expect from this breed at this age, balanced, not quite in full coat, dark eye but a little plain in head, strong neck of medium length, well angulated forequarters of good width, fraction more bone than 1st, good depth of brisket reaching to elbow, good topline and croup, stifles moderately well bent, good width of thigh, low set hocks and good tail, moved well.

3rd Davies Tequila Sunrise De La Vallee De L’Hyrome Goldhaze (Imp Fra), 9mo female with time on her side, slightly longer than 9/10 proportions at the moment, head is a little plain, but good angulation fore and aft, straight topline and moved well. BPIB & WPG3.

1st Wood’s Bernhaus On Oka Fioriana for Bernora.

2nd Williams Tinland Pink Sapphire, 4 ½ yo female, balanced and beautifully marked but coat makes outline look slightly heavy, more typical head than 1, dark almond shaped eyes, triangular shaped ears, well angulated front with broad chest and good bone and compact feet, depth of brisket reaching to elbow, moderately well bent stifle and low set hocks although not straight when viewed from behind, correct tail, moved well.

1st Mangat’s Nehrani Red Reefe, 6m red male puppy with black mask, nice type, very balanced for age, lovely square head of correct proportions and length of muzzle, excellent dark eye and expression, wrinkle when alert, correct neck of moderate length, powerful shoulders without any ripple, well boned with excellent catlike feet, topline very slightly roached as is bum high currently, good depth to body with rib reaching to elbow, moderately angulated hindquarters, good tail but just short of hocks. Moved well in profile, coming and going. Really liked this puppy. BPIB, Puppy G1.

2nd Mangat’s Nehrani Precious India, 6m red female puppy with black mask, litter sister to 1st place and the 2nd placed dog in Open. Not quite the balance or movement of 1st, lovely type and super head with similar remarks to 1st applying, when viewed from the front slightly overdone in shoulder and a ripple over wither, would prefer a little less weight on her, but nevertheless at 6 months she has plenty of time on her side and is promising.

1st Popp & Myer’s Optimus Thomas Morse of Penychen, 2yo fawn dog with black mask, balanced dog of good breed type, super large square head of good proportions, dark eye, well set triangular ears with folded ‘v’, strong muscular neck of good length, well sloping shoulder but slightly short in upper arm, good width of chest, straight topline of correct length, well off for bone and excellent feet, moderately angulated hind quarters with well-developed second thighs, hocks moderately bent, tail well set and reaching just to hock. Powerful movement with reach and drive and keeping topline. BOB and G2.

2nd Mangat’s Nehrani Bollywood Knight, 6m brindle dog with black mask, litter brother to BPIB and 2nd in Graduate, another puppy of good type and well-marked, another with lovely square head, dark eye, good ears and well set, lovely expression and wrinkle, good length of neck, moderate angulation fore and aft, good depth of brisket, well boned and with good feet but cow hocked. Another nice puppy from this litter, but not the hind movement of his siblings currently, but at 6 months of age he has plenty of time to grow and develop.

1st Richard’s Twillin Gate Voulez Vous Sheridel (Imp Bel) NAF, 6m black Newfoundland female whose tail did not stop wagging, balanced outline for age, head of good proportions, dark eyes with lovely expression, well angulated shoulder, plenty of bone, large well shaped feet, well ribbed back with depth reaching to elbow, well angulated hindquarters with good width of thigh, hocks were well let down and straight when viewed in profile and from behind, excellent coat for age. Promising puppy. Very happy girl whose movement was hard to assess, but did enough to gain BPIB and Working Puppy G2.

1st Davies’ Chandlimore Good Morning, 2 ½ yo St Bernard female, distinctly marked white and mahogany with black shadings/mapping, lovely typey girl with substance, balanced outline, large well-proportioned and typical head, tight, dark eyes, lovely expression, well set ears, neck muscular and correct length, shoulders well sloping and broad, well boned legs and compact feet, broad in body, well-ribbed back and depth of rib reaching to elbow, level topline and gentle slope to croup, moderate hind angulation with excellent muscle and width of thigh, hocks well let down, good tailset. Moved well from every angle, with an easy unhurried gait showing power and drive and keeping her topline level. I will watch her progress with interest, BOB & Working G1.

1st Popp’s Cyberus Apollo Of Penychen, 5 ½ yo Mastiff dog, fawn with black mask, a powerful male with size and substance, square head of correct proportions and with wrinkle when using expression, tight, dark eyes, muscular neck of good length into well laid back shoulder, slightly short in upper arm giving a ripple over the wither, good topline, croup and tail. Chest of good width, deep body with ribs well rounded, standing on good bone and excellent feet, super hindquarters with good width of thigh and well bent hocks. Moved well in profile with a good length of stride but a little lethargic.

2nd Morris’ Pol Ch Winter Melody Desert Rose Avec Cwnhapus (Imp Pol), 9 yo Siberian Husky female, lovely balanced outline and of good breed type, fox-like head with dark, obliquely set almond eyes, head carried proudly on medium length of neck, well laid back shoulder, chest reaching just above elbow, moderate bone and excellent feet, level topline, ribs correctly well sprung but flattened on sides, well angulated hindquarters set off by good width of thigh, hocks well let down, movement quick and light.
