ROYAL CHESHIRE COUNTY SHOW
TUESDAY 21ST JUNE 2022
JUDGE: KAREN FITZSIMMONS (LANLEADANE)
I was extremely honoured to be invited to judge at one of my favourite shows as an exhibitor and thank the hard working committee for a great show. Thanks also to my very competent steward. However, the biggest thanks goes to all those exhibitors who came under me and I was absolutely delighted with the quality of the dogs in all the breeds I judged.
AUSTRALIAN CATTLE DOG
Junior (1)
1. Colton, Tune & Bonser’s Carerra The Queen Bee
Although this 7 month old puppy stood alone, she was very worthy of her awards. She is very well balanced for her age and has a very pleasing typical head for the breed and a very alert expression. Her chest and body are already developing well and in good muscular condition. Once she settled on the move, she moved with purpose and was very sound in all directions. Should have a bright future. BP & BOB
BRIARD
Was delighted with quality in depth of this delightful breed and for the great numerical entry with no absentees despite the heat.
Puppy (3)
1. Foster’s Fostebrie Just Unique
This stunning 9 month old fawn young man topped a lovely class of puppies. He caught my eye as soon as he came into the ring and did not disappoint when going over him. He is so well balanced front and rear with good bone and in great muscular condition. His head is well proportioned and has strength throughout with good eyes and lovely expression. He already has good width to chest and body and a super strong level topline. Fabulous coat for a puppy and there is nothing I would change at this stage. He moved with great reach and drive in all directions and is so very sound. A credit to his breeder and I am sure he is destined for a very successful future and I shall follow his progress with great interest. He pushed the Open winner very hard for top honours. BP, RBOB

Shown in good muscular condition and moved with reach and drive in all directions.

1. Ledsham’s Touslefell I Have a Dream
This very pleasing feminine black is at the inbetween stage with her coat, but she presents a very well balanced outline. She is well off for bone and shown in good muscular condition. Her head is well proportioned with good eyes and lovely expression. She moves with an effortless gait in all directions and looks like she could work all day if needed.
2. Kingaby’s Stormymoon Thor
This mature black male has a very pleasing head with good eyes and the kindest of expression. He is well off for bone and has good width to chest. He was just a tad heavy on the day, which spoilt his overall balance. He is well muscled throughout and moved well.
Open (5)
1. Parry’s Ch. Stormymoon Untamed Irish
This mature black boy topped this fabulous class and I was delighted to have the opportunity to judge him again in an outside ring. He exudes masculinity, but is not coarse in any way. He has great bone and substance throughout and is well balanced front and rear. He has a really super head with good eyes and expression. He has a broad chest and the required moderate spring of rib. He is so very well muscled throughout and this combined with his construction enabled him to move with great reach and drive in the big ring. He certainly looked like he could move all day despite the heat. He was shown in super coat and condition. I was delighted to award him BOB. Well done.
2. Fieldsend’s Ch. Qessi Heaven Devil at Starwell (Imp Cze)

1. Bowker & Gibson’s Febus Anapeou
This gorgeous 8 month old young lady topped a lovely class of puppy girls. She is very well balanced for her age and already gives the impression of “great size” with the required elegance of this breed. She appears to be developing just as a giant breed should. Her head is well proportioned with absolutely no signs of coarseness. She has a delightful expression. She is well off for bone and has a moderately angulated front and rear. She moved extremely well in all directions with the correct free, unhurried movement. Handled to get the very best from her. She certainly must have a very bright future and I will follow her progress with great interest. BP, RBOB and very pleased to see her get Group 4 in a very strong Pastoral Puppy Group. Well done.
