HUNGARIAN VIZSLA

P 8(2)

1. Miles’ Carbon Copy. Mature male, full of fizz but managing to harness it enough to head this strong class, well off for body and bone, balanced fore and rear and showed himself off on the move by covering the ground despite the floor surface, flashy and eye catching I was not surprised to learn after taking BP he was later awarded BPIS.

2. Millward’s Martava First Edition. A lovely type of Vizsla, full of class and one to watch, today he was testing his patient unflustered handler to the extreme and it was a masterclass in the challenging temperament these HPRs possess, moderate but workmanlike, a lovely size, super condition really scores in depth of chest, looks like he could go all day, his cheeky personality showed through but today it cost him higher honours.

J 4(2)

1. Hughes’ Listerlo Russian Roulette. Lovely bitch, just the right size for her age, lovely proportions, nice tight feet, good neck into muscular shoulders, correct moderately low ear set, a touch close behind but otherwise moved soundly, lovely nature and seemed to be enjoying her day.

2. Steeden’s Linderwood Hocus Pocus. A little heavier than one, but much to like, excellent depth of chest, good length of upper arm, moderate stop and skull longer than muzzle, nice tight feet, lovely rich russet colour, showed well, although I suspect she’d have rather been elsewhere.

PG 2(0)

1. Hughes’ Listerlo Russian Roulette.

2. Steeden’s Linderwood Hocus Pocus.

Open 2(0)

1. Hughes’ Ambravittoriya Oskar At Listerlo (Imp Rus). Upstanding striking male, deep rich russet colour with a coat of correct texture, well laid and muscular shoulders, hocks well let down and moderate rear angulation, back muscular with super rib, exhibited in really hard condition, being picky I would prefer slightly less length of leg but he appealed immediately and didn’t disappoint on the move or on closer examination, BOB.

2. Harris’ Szajani Szeder. 7 year old male, not always showing himself off to best advantage and his relaxed attitude allowed his top-line to drop a little which distracted from his outline, super depth, lovely head with a very kind eye and expression good strong dentition, plenty of length and good bone, moved easily but lacked a little input today which showed against his younger competitor.

SPANIEL (COCKER)

P 3(2)

1. Fourmond’s Griffial Head Over Heals. 10 month old pup, full to the brim of early Christmas merriment, lovely proportions and a good size, correct coat emerging and well bodied for one so young, good dentition and correct ear set, was active and enthusiastic on the move, just needs to settle, BP.

J 5(4)

1. Brothwell’s Wissant Dear Darlin. Compact bitch, well off for rib with a strong compact body, melting expression and lovely dark appealing eye, correct top-line, well bent stifles, on the move she showed real reach and drive and was determined to impress, not in the best of coats but was unlucky to stand alone.

PG 7(2)

1. Sewell’s Quattrozampe Chuffed ’T Bits. Moderate exhibit, nothing overdone, scored in body in angles, beautifully presented, lovely bone, great head and with correct chiselling and ear set, lovely neck, good feet, hard body without condition which many in this class lacked, BOB.

2. Brothwell’s Wissant Uptown Girl. A little out of coat today but the expression on this exhibit was super and couldn’t be denied, a little untidy going away but otherwise could change places with one, super body, nice size and moderation, lovely top-line, great attitude and temperament.

O 7(4)

1. Sewell’s Wintonia Hidden Gem at Quattrozampe. Like this one for type, size and construction, an older exhibit but super outline that appealed and couldn’t be denied, not really cooperating on the move which was a shame today but lovely top-line, good feet, lovely rib and super attitude.

2. Randall’s Ziennes Cornflower. A pleasing exhibit, moves very well and is outgoing and merry on the stack, however has a tendency to get bored and drop top-line which ruins the picture, a little longer than some but lovely head, good coat and a sound and active mover.

SPANIEL (FIELD)

PG 1(0)

1. Trevor’s Gadhelic Jemima Jiggle for Trevorsilk. 3 year old bitch, lovely head and expression, super forechest and depth of chest, great coat, in perfect condition, lovely body, not always standing herself to best advantage, would prefer more freedom and motion behind to really cover the ground, a lovely bitch with a lovely laid back attitude.

O 5(2)

1.Bennett Sh Ch. Jesham Baronet. 6 year old in superb form and condition for a Field, he has a real look at me attitude, his type and outline cannot be denied and for me, today, despite the quality of the bitch, I prefer his front movement coming towards, he is all male with a head many would envy and a delight to judge.

2. Osborn Sh Ch. Elgert Lady Sta’Dust JW. A classy bitch with great quality, really unlucky to meet one today, I thought they made quite the pair, super proportions, great angles and her head and expression are memorable, as I typed my report I looked at these two together and was privileged to assess them, great coat, super confident personality, nice size, beautifully presented. I later learned that they are currently top dog and top bitch.

SPANISH WATER DOG

P 3(1)

1. Capille’s Chanderhill End of an Era at Lendever. Outgoing bubbly pup, much to like, lovely front, correct head proportions and moderate stop, good dentition lovely rib, level top-line with slightly higher rear quarters, needs to settle on the move but otherwise put on a good show.

2. Capille’s Zorrazo Kind Regards at Lendever. Struggled a little with sharing the ring with his kennel mate but much to like, longer but not incorrect, nice bone, lovely head, super attitude and disposition, well off for rib, just preferred the depth of 1.

J 2(0)

1. Hodgkinson’s Zorrazo Villian of Circumstance at Chanderhill (imp HRV). Eye catching exhibit, being slightly longer in body, correct bone, great coat, lovely outgoing attitude, good feet, correct head proportions, was coordinated and determined on the move, put on a good show to head a strong class.

2. Capille’s San Lorenzo Wavelet at Lendever. Really lovely exhibit, whilst the standard calls for a little longer in body this exhibit appeared a little too long in body, well bent stifles, correct short neck into well laid-back shoulder and great head, unlucky to meet 1.

PG 2(0)

1. Capille’s Lendevers Quaint Tinsel. Lovely sound exhibit who took a little time to settle but when she did she was super, nothing to hide with the classic outline, shorter neck, slightly longer body, nice tight feet and really powered around the ring.

2. Searle’s Adormidera Apache Rose at Cravessa Another lovely exhibit just not as motivated today and a lack of enthusiasm cost her coat a little wooly but good depth nice size and a lovely head and expression excellent dentition.

O 2(1)

1. Hodgkinson Sh Ch. Zorrazo Quest For Success (imp HRV) JW ESP JCH HR JCH. Male of outstanding quality, his proportions are spot on and on the move going around he covered the ground like no other exhibit did today, he has body and condition many would envy, correct head proportions and attitude that many in this breed would admire.

AV CHAMPION STAKES 11(4)

1. Bradley’s Sh Ch. Stanegate Stage Debut (AI). An Irish Water Spaniel I have admired from afar, it was a privilege to be given the opportunity to judge this bitch today, she is robust but feminine, so sound, clean and honest, and such a show girl, she didn’t disappoint at all, it made my day going over her.

2. Sanderson’s Sh Ch. Owlspoint Trouble At Mill ShCM ShCEx BWNL’18. This chap has showmanship in abundance, he is so classic on the stack, so workmanlike and in such hard condition, he looks like he could work all day and has a temperament to match, on the move the smaller ring didn’t help him but he coped admirably.

FOSSE DATA OPEN STAKES 24(11)

1. Osborn’s Sh Ch. Elgert Lady Stardust.

2. Dymond’s Sh Ch. Quintana Diamond Dust at Friarsbelle JW. GSP. Sound, honest, uncomplicated chap, moderate throughout, correct proportions, lovely tight feet, nice size, very eye catching and very sound, superbly handled in first class order, the first two stood out in this strong class.

GILL LEWIS MEMORIAL MINOR PUPPY STAKES 32(19)

1. Cockell’s Carlyquinn Morwenna. Classy compact English Springer, active and high on leg, lovely correct coat emerging, nice amount of bone, broad slightly rounded skull with chiseling below the eyes, good proportions and correct top-line, moved with reach and drive, showed with attitude.

2. Spillane’s Belatarr Kodiak Mature. HWV. Robust upstanding chap, lovely proportions and depth, great attitude, quite mature attitude for one so young, moved soundly covering the ground with ease, lovely harsh jacket and great head and expression.

JEAN ALLEN MEMORIAL PUPPY STAKES 32(22)

1. Fortuna’s Fabpoint Pagan. Portuguese Pointer. Showed like a veteran, really wanted to be here and wanted to win, so sound, nothing to hide and super body, great rear angulation, lovely tight feet, cracking head and expression, one to watch.

2. Stephens’ Ravenho Looks Like Trouble for Brightmeadow. Upstanding male with the elegance the Curly Coat should possess, a soundness and temperament many would envy, lovely tight crisp curls, lovely eye, very happy, good feet, good depth of chest and moved well on the difficult surface.
