Sunderland & District Canine Society Open show Held at Temple Park Leisure Centre, South Shields Sunday 27th November 2022

Thank you to all exhibitors who gave me a wonderful entry and also to the society for their kind invitation and to my very capable steward Tom who had been working alone all day.

Chow Chow: O. 1. Thorman’s - Peter Parker at Namromt – A black dog of short coupled and compact in shape. Excellent headpiece with delightful pigmentation to mouth, strong neck into shoulders ample bone to small round feet he moved with a pendulum action skimming the ground BoB. Fch Bulldog. Grad. 1. Clonny’s – Mush La Picolina – Bitch. Well-proportioned squarish head with dark eyes clearly developed cheeks nicely arched neck ample depth of chest and well-sprung ribs. Sound bone moderate hind angulation giving a free-flowing action. BoB O. 1. Clonny’s – Mush My Spartan – Brindle male. I preferred the head of the previous dog, nicely boned throughout, cobby in outline, and well-muscled throughout. German Spitz Klein. G. 1. Pearce & Francis – Longsdale’s Remember me NAF – Lovely sized bitch full of femininity. Ears set high small and triangular. Oval-shaped dark eyes and expressive. Clean neck set well into shoulders firm topline and short loin. Good underline with moderate tuck-up. Moderate hind angulation gives her a neat brisk action. Excellent double coat this little lady has a bright future BP BoB Puppy Group 1. 2. Pearce & Francis – Longsdale’s Love me More NAF. Litter brother to 1. Head wedge-shaped flat skull with enough stop, dark eyes with alert expression nicely laid shoulders down to small rounded feet. High-set tail carried well on the move. O. 1. Pearce & Francis – Longsdale’s No More The Fool – Appealing feminine wedge-shaped head with ample muzzle to skull clean neck nicely laid shoulders well developed short loin and enough tuck up feet were small and round with well-arched toes. German Spitz Mittle G. 1. Pearce & Francis – Longsdale’s I Will Survive – This girl stood alone but was very worthy of her first place. High set ears held perfectly erect small and triangular on a flat skull beautiful dark eye oval in shape with a confident attitude nicely proportioned and in full coat of long harsh hair and soft wooly undercoat. High set tail curled over her back abundantly covered, full culottes to finish. Jap Shiba Inu O. 1. Radley & Packer – Burwen Pick Cadillac – Jr bitch Clearly feminine with well-defined markings to her forechest eye spots and cheeks strong neck with slight arch firm topline finished with a well-set high tail and carriage BoB Jap Spitz O. 1. Benoist – Kumotta Elite - A masculine male of good size dark oval shaped eyes excellent pigmentation throughout the blackest of noses good spring of ribs broad loin firm and strong. He moved out on small round feet with a light nimble stride. BoB 2. Benoist – Kumotta Double Trouble – Alert and intelligent wedge-shaped head with slightly curved skull and well-defined stop. A strong neck and firm topline feet could be a little tighter to make the more round high-set tail with good plumb. Keeshond – O 1. Burnett – Torrikees We Will Rock You – Puppy, a big boy full of coat and great bone. Clear pencil markings to head nice length of neck firm topline on the move he needed time to strengthen BoB. Lhasa Apso Jr. 1. Pearce & Francis – Longsdales Wonderful World – 10 months and well grown clearly masculine. Lovely head nicely set ears full of coat and feathering dark oval shaped eyes medium stop and enough length in muzzle nicely arched neck. Strong level back sufficient loin finished with a high set well-feathered tail. On the move, he was free and jaunty BP. 2. Taylor – Jahneemahs Luna Moon at Billkenstar – She is developing very well and time will show. Appealing head and dark eyes well laid shoulders which showed on the move. Pleasing strong loin and high set tail. Once her adult coat has come through, I feel she will do well. 3. Thompson – Toynbee Touch of Silver. G. 1. Taylor – Kelankin Purple Raynedrop at Billkenstar – Nicely sized bitch which I preferred and balanced throughout. Feminine head with pleasing furnishings pendant ears well covered clean eyes all finished with a black nose. With good ratios of length to height and a firm sturdy topline ample loin area and a high set tail carried over her back. Well-developed muscles to the rear which gave her the required jaunty action. BoB 2. Chesterfield – Phareal Heartbreaker into Burnsett – Male of suitable proportions. Pleasing masculine expression clean straight teeth giving the correctly shaped mouth and jawline nicely arched neck. Ample bone and round cat-like feet. O. 1. Chesterfield – Burnsett Lunata – A close run bitch for top honors. Appealing Feminine girl well-proportioned head and good teeth keeping the form and shape. Nicely arched neck enough bone and pleasing feet attractively coated and well presented. 2. Thompson – Kininjan Copacabana to Toybee – A young girl of 18 months Shapely and well proportioned. She’d had an accident in her crate which spoiled her coat and feathering. Mini Schnauzer G. Gavin – Violcious Meredith Grey – Pretty bitch good head flat skull with medium stop. Clean and well-muscled. Oval dark eyes of medium size pleasing high set ears V-shaped and nicely dropping to the temple. Firm strong topline with short strong loin. She moved out well from driving well-developed hind legs BoB Poodle Std O. 1. Garbutt – Ch Tianola Touch of Class JW. ShCm. Mature black in his prime. Worthy of his title. Balanced throughout elegant and active. Long fine head with dark eyes, good length of neck well-laid shoulders strong legs tight feet that are round and well padded. BoB 2. Zair – Tuxedo Princess – Black puppy bitch lovely feminine girl balanced although just needs a little more training and socialization BP. Poodle Toy – O. Watson – Niaveeras Forbidden Heir – A chocolate puppy with a lot to like about this boy. Good-looking elegant shape he carried his head proudly on a decent length of neck he was gay and spirited on the move full of life. BoB BP. Shih Tzu Grad 1. Moore & Casentieri Emerson Alpiu Slenis of Alchez (Imp LTU) JW Sh Cex OSW – Maturing well this boy. Broadhead wide between his eyes which were large, dark, and round, enough length of muzzle and wide-open nostrils finished with the distinctive chrysanthemum effect whiskers and beard. Nicely laid shoulders and short muscular legs. Good length-to-height ratio’s broad chest and ample spring of ribs, strong topline. His feet were firm and rounded covered in sufficient hair. On the move he had an arrogant attitude and sound-reaching action BoB. 2. Stevenson – Bishopspark Holly – Ultra feminine bitch with typical head broad, round with friendly expression, alert and intelligent. Leather full of feathering and flowing neckline plus slight arch. Well-filled chest and spring of ribs good loin muscular and strong. Just not quite the attitude of 1 on the move. O. Casentieri – Alchez Return to the Sea - smaller in size, this girl but has all the attributes of the breed from the chrysanthemum shock head and a slight upturn of the nose. Clear large bright eyes on the move she carried her tail gaily over her back well feathered. Tibetan Spaniel Grad – 1. Cooper & O’Brien – Susu More than a Prince – Young male Happy, outgoing and alert. Slight dome to skull ample stop between oval-shaped dark eyes. Mouth with straight teeth and enough padding to muzzle. Firm well laid shoulders and spring of ribs strong muscles over loin nice turn of stifle and ample muscling which enable him to move out with a positive stride. 2. Gilling – Princess Mylan Icharess of Talocan (Imp Pol)- Moderate skull with slight dome-appropriate undershot teeth short strong neck covered with a silky top coat and ample mane. Nicely sprung ribs and good height-to-length ratios finished with well-feathered trousers. BP. O. Cooper & Obrien – Susu Princess Spice Parti - Very aptly named girl. Mature typical adult head and expression enough cushioning and depth of chin. Nice short neck into shoulders feminine build and bone ample length between wither and tail and firm topline. Beautiful hare feet with plenty of feathering, finishing the picture with a high set tail carried over her back. On the move she was free and active. BoB 2. Gilling – Princess Mylan Icharess of Talocan (Imp Pol) BP. Tibetan Terrier Grad. 1. Metcalfe – Pippalata Overtime Magic – a bitch with feminine expression from large round eyes enough stop and strong muzzle of equal length her head sits on a strong neck of ample length. Nicely ribbed and ample chest. Her feet have plenty of furnishings although could be slightly bigger. O. Marley & Thirwell – Myrlea Motown Ink – Suitably sized bitch well shaped head of equal proportions, enough Zygomatic curve and stop Large round eyes bright and clear. Strong muscular neck into pleasantly laid shoulders, suitably sprung ribs that reached well back. Well-muscled hindlegs and well-bent stifles. She moved without effort on large round feet that had ample furnishings BoB Group 3. AV Utility P. Boston Terrier- Winrow – Jaynese Hubber Bubber dog of almost yr. Bright and lively he had a good squarish head with short muzzle clean dark eyes with good intelligent expression ample chest for his age and spring of ribs. He moved with ease and grace on small round feet BoB P Group 3 AV Utility O. 1. Akita – Davies – Ch Redwich This is me at Shinzatt – Large male of good size ample bone and substance. Good wedge-shaped head with flat skull small almond shaped eyes, ears small and triangular. Thick well-muscled neck into shoulders well filled chest with good depth. It was difficult to assess movement with the small size of ring. Utility Group 1. Bulldog - Ferguson – Mella Upsy Daisy 2. Shih Tzu – Moore & Casentieri – Emerson Alpiu Slenis of Alchez (imp Ltu) JW, Sh Cm. OSW 3. Tibetian Terrier – Marley & Thirwell – Myrlea Motown Ink 4.
