Ashfield (Notts) Canine Society

Thank you to the committee for inviting me to judge and for their lovely hospitality. I thoroughly enjoyed my day. The show was well run, well laid out with good sized rings and very friendly. I must congratulate the committee on finding such a superb venue. Thank you to both my stewards for keeping the ring running smoothly and to all exhibitors for entering with your quality dogs. I was splitting hairs in strong classes in both Labradors and Golden Retrievers.

Puppy (7,1)

1st Edward’s Kimbajak Miss Jazz Swinger - eye catching 11 month old yellow bitch who I really liked. She caught my attention as soon as she came in the ring. Everything about her was balanced, lovely outline, level top line good fore chest, balanced fore and rear quarters. Lovely head and kind expression, strong neck into well placed shoulders, equal length of leg to depth of body, good bone, barrel ribs, short coupled, good turn of stifle and rear angulation, good tail set, coat in good condition. Moved with drive and purpose around the ring covering the ground with ease. BP

2nd Young’s Potterzuri Wanda Vision – another quality 11 month old yellow bitch of nice type, with a lovely head and kind expression. Pleasing outline, strong neck into well placed shoulders, equal length of leg to depth of body, good bone, barrel ribs, short coupled, good turn of stifle and rear angulation, coat in good condition. Move with purpose around the ring but with not as much drive as the class winner.

1st Hall’s Handalla Lockdown Girl – pretty 14 month old yellow bitch of nice type, feminine head with lovely expression, balanced outline and front and rear quarters, good fore chest, strong neck into well placed shoulders, equal length of leg to depth of body, good bone, barrel ribs, short coupled, level top line, good turn of stifle and rear angulation, presented with coat in good condition. Moved with drive and purpose around the ring.

2nd Horton’s Flyenpyg Shut Ya Pie Hole – another pretty 17 month old black bitch of nice type, pretty head with lovely expression, balanced front and rear quarters with good fore chest, strong neck into well placed shoulders, equal length of leg to depth of body, good bone, barrel ribs, short coupled, level top line, good turn of stifle and rear angulation, correct otter tail with good tail set, correct double coat in good condition. Moved with drive and purpose around the ring. Just preferred the outline and leg length of 1.

Moved with drive and purpose around the ring.

Moved well around the ring. Preferred the movement and overall balance of 1.

1st Edward’s Kimbajak Flerty Gerty – 2 year old yellow bitch who caught my attention as soon as she came in the ring. I liked her very much, everything about her was balanced, lovely outline, level top line, good fore chest, balanced fore and rear quarters. Shown in excellent condition with toned muscles. Lovely head and kind expression, strong neck into well placed shoulders, equal length of leg to depth of body, good bone, barrel ribs, short coupled, good turn of stifle and rear angulation, good tail set, correct double coat in good condition. Covered the ground with ease, driving with purpose and power. BOB

2nd Smith’s Flyenpyg’s Porky Pig JW - strong 4 year old yellow dog of pleasing type, broad masculine head and lovely expression, pleasing outline, strong fore chest and neck into well placed shoulders, equal length of leg to depth of body, good bone, barrel ribs, short coupled, level top line, good turn of stifle and rear angulation, good tail set, correct double coat in good condition. Moved with drive and purpose, covering the ground with ease. He challenged hard for BOB but I just preferred the overall outline and balance of 1. RBOB

1st Gerhold’s Navilis Vivat Vilvaldi (IMP UKR) NAF TAF – eye catching 9 month dog who caught my attention, lovely outline, very balanced overall, pleasing balanced mascueline head with kind expression, muscular neck of good length into well laid back shoulders, good fore chest, good bone and balanced body ,short coupled, good second thigh and turn of stifle, hocks well let down, nice tail set, carried tail level on the move, coat in good condition, moved with ease around the ring driving and reaching. I liked him very much. BP

2nd James’ Tsarmont Starlet – another eye catching youngster, 11 month bitch with pretty feminine head and sweet expression, lovely outline, pretty feminine head with sweet expression, muscular neck of good length into well laid back shoulders, good fore chest, good bone, short coupled, good second thigh and turn of stifle, hocks well let down, nice tail set, carried tail level on the move, coat in good condition, moved with ease around the ring but with not as much drive as 1.

3rd Birkin-Green’s Sansue Lovelle

1st Birkin-Green & Gripton’s Angelonato Star Joy With Sansue (IMPR BLR) – strong, handsome 12.5 month dog balanced overall, pleasing outline, coat in good condition, balanced masculine head with kind expression, neck of good length into well laid back shoulders, good bone, short coupled, good front and rear angulation and turn of stifle, hocks well let down, nice tail set, carried tail level. He moved with purpose and drive around the ring covering the ground with ease. RBOB

2nd Taylor & Tenn’s Strettonhill Ultimatium – pleasing 9 month old dog, lovely outline, pleasing balanced mascueline head with kind expression, good reach of neck into well placed shoulders, good bone, short coupled, good front and rear angulation and turn of stifle, hocks well let down, nice tail set, good coat. Moved well around the ring but with not as much drive as 1.

1st Gerhold’s Navilis Nouveau Venu (IMPR UKR) JW, stunning, balanced 21 month dog who caught my attention, I like as soon as he came in the ring, lovely outline, broad masculine head with kind eye and expression,, muscular neck of good length into well laid back shoulders, muscular fore chest, good bone and balanced body ,short coupled, good second thigh, good turn of stifle, hocks well let down, nice tail set, carried tail level on the move, coat in excellent condition, moved with drive and purpose around the ring, covering the ground with ease. 2nd Booth’s Rocamoka Wind Dream At Alihelnix – 4 year old pretty bitch, pleasing outline, feminine head with lovely expression, neck of good length into well placed shoulders, good fore chest, good boned and balanced body, short coupled, good second thigh and turn of stifle, hocks well let down, nice tail set, carried tail level on the move, coat in good condition, moved with ease around the ring, covering the ground well, but with not as much drive as 1.
