Judge – Mrs Jane Eyeington (Meadowdale)

I would like to thank the committee for their kind invitation to judge at this lovely premier show. Such a shame it clashed with Darlington Championship Show for the toy breeds. It was a rather cold and windy day, and the ground was a little uneven in places, but everyone seemed to manage well, and for me it was a great pleasure to judge your lovely dogs – thank you

Airedale Terrier

Puppy (1,0)

1. Mrs Rust - Jokyl Power Lady

Lovely 7 month old bitch, showing a fairly cobby outline when stood. She has a pleasing head, long and well balanced, with the correct amount of chiselling, and those typical dark intelligent eyes. Good length of neck flowing into a well held topline. Lovely depth to the ribcage, but carrying a fraction more weight, with well boned limbs. A good width of thigh and short hock to heel. Still very much a babe on the move and needing to tighten, but this will all come with maturity - BP

Limit (3,1)

1. Mr & Mrs Eastall - Daedal Frozen In Time (AI)

Smart 5 year old bitch, who is nicely balanced in outline, with a lovely flow from nose to tail. Her head is long and very proportionate with good strength to the foreface, thought she was most expressive from her dark well shaped eyes and well used ears. Having a slight arch to her neck, level topline, deep in brisket and a strong loin. Liked her width of thigh and short hocks. A fraction close behind, showing a good side gait. Presented in a harsh jacket and well presented – BOB & Gp4

2. Mr Cook - Settlebeck Heavenly Audra For Ezenkita

Shapely outline and lots of character to this 2 year old bitch, who liked to let her presence be known! Her head has good length and of equal proportions, a fraction wider in backskull. Well placed ears, and dark mischievous eyes. Clean neck and decent topline. Chest is well let down and a short firm loin. Strong hindquarters, which she put to good use on the move. Coat a little stripped out at present but has a harsh texture - RBOB
