German Shorthaired Pointer

Thank you very much to the committee for the invite to judge German Shorthaired Pointers today. As always a lovely warm welcome and a great atmosphere, special thanks to Sue for the endless supply of Tea & Biscuits!! Very pleased with my entry and some really lovely dogs to go over. Thank you to the exhibitors for accepting my decisions. Was delighted to hear that my Best of Breed went on to win the Gundog Group.

PUPPY

493 AGDENUSHER MULBERRY – just 6 months (BPIB) This was his first show and he seemed to be thoroughly enjoying himself giving his owner a hard time. Raw puppy at the moment erratic on the move but when moving correctly did move well. Head of good proportions with lovely expression. Good oval feet, nice straight front and good length of upper arm, adequate rear angles. Top line correct. Given time he should come together.

JUNIOR

488 SH CH QUINTANA DIAMOND DUST AT FRIARSBELLE JW (BOB) – 17-month dog well worthy of his SH CH title, standing he is balanced. Lovely straight front, masculine head of correct proportions. Deep Chest and really well built with lovely rear angles and well-muscled strong rear. One I have judged before, and he just creates a lovely picture on the move. Very pleased to award him Best of Breed and see he went on to win the gundog group, congratulations.

495 DRAGOCEN MILENA JABARI JOY – Just out of puppy, well balanced much finer than 1. Nice rear angles and moved well. Good head proportions and nice eyes neck muscular and moderately long. Good depth of chest. Slightly down on her pasterns at the moment.

POST GRAD

491 YOCKLETTS HAMBLEDON (RBOB) Another youngster 15 months. Looks so balanced stood. Lovely head and expression. Good straight front, with nice depth of chest. Neck is muscular and of moderate length. Topline correct and held on the move. Well-muscled thighs and good straight hocks. Very close contender for Best of Breed.

486 FRIEDA ZAUBERWALD – 2-year-old that hasn’t been shown before so a little on the raw side. A little untidy on the move but a nice straight front good depth of chest and decent oval tight feet, would like a little more angulation on the rear.

OPEN

489 ANKERWYCKE SILK STOCKINGS 3 yr. old – balanced won the class on movement, good strong topline held on the move. Nice head proportions and expression. Good strong straight front, tight oval feet, really nice depth of chest. Rear well angled with good muscular thighs, another pushed hard for top honours today.

492 SOLWAYPOINT GEORGIA AT MANNLICHER – almost 3 yrs., slightly finer than 1, but still very balanced. Good expression, nice muscular neck, nice front, and chest of moderate depth. Good topline and moved well in profile. Would like just a little more muscle on the rear to complete the picture.

494 ALLEZWECK TOCCOA AT KRIMSHAR
