I would like to thank the committee of Pollard CS for inviting me to judge at their show, I had an enjoyable day with some quality exhibits to go over.

Bearded Collies

Junior (4)2

1st. R Salter’s Irisaddition Love Actually.

A 13 month old, grey/white bitch, I was impressed with this youngster, she is balanced and in proportion with a head of the correct proportions and a feminine expression, dark eyes, and the correct bite. Strong neck, well laid shoulders, and a deep brisket, well sprung ribcage and ribs carried well back, level back and nicely angulated rear quarters and low set hocks, she moved soundly with reach and drive.

2nd. Mr J L Macdougall’s Clanimac’s Hey There Delilah.

A 12 month old bitch, feminine throughout with a broad skull and a strong muzzle, dark eyes and the correct bite, well laid shoulders and a deep chest, well sprung ribcage, level back, I would prefer if she was a little longer on the leg. Nicely angulated front and rear quarters and her movement was sound and true.

1st. Miss A R Cooper’s Tybury’s Song Of Ice and Fire.

A 3 year old, grey/white bitch, she has a typical well balanced outline, feminine but strong throughout, broad skull, dark eyes, correct bite, and a strong muzzle. Neck strong with a slight arch, well laid shoulders and a deep brisket, correct spring of rib and ribs carried well back, level back and a strong loin of the correct length, well bent stifles and low set hocks, coat in good condition and well presented, BOB and pleased to award her 4th in a strong pastoral group.

2nd. Mrs D Weightman’s Debbeacol Takes Two To Tango JW.

A 3 ½ year old grey/white bitch, a very nice example but I would prefer more overall size, she was balanced with nicely angulated front and rear quarters, head of the correct proportions with a feminine expression, dark eyes, and the correct bite. Level back and deep brisket, coat of the correct texture and well presented, she moved steadily with reach and drive.

1st. Miss G Harris’s Braesnobel Ruby Tuesday.

A 5 year old fawn/white bitch, another good example of the breed, typical balanced outline, broad skull and a strong muzzle, dark eyes and the correct bite, strong neck, shoulders, and upper arms well laid and a deep chest. Ribs well sprung and a level back, coat in good condition and well presented, she moved soundly and was true coming and going, she pushed hard for BOB, but I just preferred the overall shape and balance of the BOB winner, RBOB.

2nd. Mrs D Weightman’s Debbeacol Poetry In Motion JW.

A grey/white 7 year old bitch, head of the correct proportions, dark eyes and the correct bite, neck well set on and I would have preferred more slope to the shoulder blades, level back, deep brisket, well sprung ribs, coat of the correct texture and she moved soundly.

Mrs N Hall’s Shai Du Pre De La Sommerau at Vonandraste (IMP FRA).

A 12 month old male, he has a very good head of the correct proportions, erect ears, dark eyes, and the correct bite. Neck correct shoulders set obliquely, deep chest and ribs well sprung, nicely angulated rear quarters with low set hocks, he moved with a lively gait. A promising young dog and I was pleased to award him BOB.

1st. Mr G C & Mrs J Chance’s Goytre Chance to Reflect.

A 2 year old B/W male, showing good breed type, balanced outline, broad skull, distinct stop, and muzzle of the correct length. Strong neck, well laid shoulders, deep brisket and a well sprung ribcage, nicely angulated rear quarters, and low set hocks, he moved freely and was sound and true, pleased to award him BOB.

2nd. Miss J Porter’s Kirkwind Shooting Star.

A 4 year old B/W male, typical outline, balanced, head of correct proportions, dark eyes, and the correct bite, carrying too much weight today, deep chest, well sprung ribcage, strong loin, well bent stifles and low set hocks, movement could have been better.

3rd. Ms R Tingey’s Mikared Harry OF Sussex, BP.

1st. Miss J Porter’s Kirkwind Jumping Jupiter.

A 6 ½ year old B/W male, balanced outline, broad skull, dark eyes and the correct bite, strong muzzle, balanced front and rear angulation, deep chest and a well sprung ribcage, low set hocks, could have moved better RBOB.

2nd. Ms J I Hanson’s Lady of the Dale at Basilbrooke.

A 3 year old B/W & Tan bitch, out of coat today but showed a balanced outline, head of the correct proportions, strong neck, well laid shoulders, deep chest and a well sprung ribcage, nicely angulated rear quarters, and low set hocks, she moved well.

1st. Miss L J & Mrs S A Bermingham & Kendrick’s Bamcwt First Edition.

A 6 year old fawn bitch, she has a broad skull, moderate stop, and a strong muzzle with the correct bite. Short strong neck, deep chest, well sprung ribcage, nicely angulated rear quarters, good feet, coat in good condition and well presented, she moved purposefully around the ring being sound coming and going, BOB.

2nd. Miss L J Mrs S A Mr J & Mrs F Bermingham, Kendrick & Almeida’s-

NL Ch Rainha Da Casa De Loas Em Bamcwt (IMP Port) Ejw’16.

A 7 year old bitch, carrying too much weight today but of the correct type, strong head, dark eyes and the correct bite, strong neck, deep chest and well sprung ribcage, ribs carried well back, strong loin. Nicely angulated rear quarters and low set hocks didn’t move as well as the first placed bitch, RBOB.

1st. Mr R Brandon’s Lornaville Dark Vision.

A 19 month old male, young but strong and powerful, excellent head proportions, dark eyes and the correct bite, long strong neck, well laid back shoulders and upper arms, deep chest, back level, strong loin and well angulated rear quarters and strong hocks. Coat of the correct texture and good condition. He moved very soundly being true coming and going without any sign of weakness, very pleased to award him, BOB, and 1st in the pastoral Group.

1st. Mr R Brandon’s Lornaville Higher Court.

A 4 ½ year old male and sire of the BOB winner, typical outline balanced and in proportion, masculine head of the correct proportions, dark eyes, and the correct bite. Neck strong, well laid shoulders and upper arms, deep brisket and well sprung ribcage, strong rear quarters with the correct amount of angulation and he moved soundly with reach and drive, RBOB.

2nd. Mrs Mirecki’s Hamadryas Gold at Wakanda.

A 4 year old bitch, showing good breed type with feminine but strong head proportions, good ears, dark eyes and the correct bite, long strong neck, well laid shoulders and plenty of fore chest, deep brisket, and well sprung rib cage. Nicely angulated rear quarters, low set hocks and she moved soundly.

1st. Mrs J & Mrs A Pike’s Breezelyn Need for Speed.

A 2 ½ year old brindle bitch, lovely overall type, balanced and proportion for the breed, foxy head, dark eyes and the correct bite, strong neck and well laid shoulders, deep chest and forelegs and feet as they should be. Level topline, Strong well angulated rear quarters, she moved soundly, she was a little hesitant on the day but a fine example of the breed, BOB.

A 3 year old male showing a typical outline, foxy head, erect ears, neck strong and well set on, well laid shoulders and upper arm, deep chest, well sprung ribcage, and a level back, stifles well bent, and he moved soundly around the ring, BOB.

1st. Mrs T L & Mr C M Pickering’s Ir Ch Murray D’ered Luin Avec Picarboo (IMP FRA)

A 6 year old male Picardy Sheepdog, solid and rugged as asked for in the standard, head of the correct proportions, high set ears, dark eyes, and the correct bite. Strong neck, well laid shoulders, and upper arms, level topline and a deep brisket, well sprung ribcage and a strong loin, well-muscled hind quarters with the correct amount of angulation. He moved a little erratically, but I could see he was sound and true and showed reach in profile, Best Import Breed Register.

2nd. Mrs T L & Mr C M Pickering’s Ir Ch Alpha natura Nike Avec Picarboo (IMP DEN).

A 4 ½ year old brindle Picardy Sheepdog bitch, of the correct breed type, rugged but feminine, head of the correct proportions, dark eyes and the correct bite, large black nose. Strong neck leading into well laid shoulders, chest deep, level topline, and correct bend of stifle, she moved well, I just preferred the masculinity and presence of the male, RBPB.

1st. Mrs T L & Mr C M Pickering’s Starwell Here we go Again to Bouvibear (Catalan Sheepdog).

A 9 month old bitch, she has a typical breed outline with the correct rough coat of good length and texture, head and muzzle of the correct proportions, dark eyes, and the correct bite. Neck well set on, well laid shoulders and a deep chest, level topline, and nicely angulated rear quarters and low set hocks with the required double dew claws, her movement was sound and true, a promising youngster, Best AVNSC Puppy.

2nd. Mr C R & Miss A J Metcalf & Willingham’s Goldmali Salute Belshedo NAF. (BSD Malinois).

A 7 month old male, showing excellent breed type being balanced and in proportion, masculine head, dark eyes and the correct bite, well placed erect ears, in good coat of the correct texture. Deep chest with the correct spring of rib, correct topline and just the right amount of bend to his stifle, he moved soundly, another promising youngster.

1st. Miss A Mills Ludas Matyi Aladar (IMP HUN) Hungarian Puli.

A 2 year old black male and he impressed me as soon as he walked into the ring, he just looked the part and on closer examination he didn’t disappoint me, everything under his lovely coat that was in great condition was as asked for in the standard. Head of the correct proportions, dark eyes, medium length neck, well laid shoulders, and good spring of rib. Strong rear quarters and his movement was quick and short stepping, I was pleased to award him, Best AVNSC and 2nd in a strong Pastoral Group.

1st. Mrs J Shorer-Wheeler’s Koromandel Tusen Takk (AI) (Norwegian Buhund).

A 12 month old male, a very smart youngster, showing very good breed type, balanced outline, coat of the correct texture, head lean with the correct width of skull, muzzle of medium length, correct ears, dark eyes, and the correct bite. Deep chest, level topline, nicely angulated rear quarters, correct set of tail, movement was active and showed a good stride in profile, Reserve Best AVNSC.

2nd. Mr T J & Mrs A M Fieldsend’s Du Domaine Des Dhalbergs at Starwell (FRA IMP) (Catalan Sheepdog).

A 2 ½ year old male, I would prefer a little more size and substance, but he was balanced and in proportion, head correct with a dark eye and the correct bite, strong neck, well laid back and a deep brisket, short coupled with nicely angulated rear quarters, double dew claws, his movement was sound and true.

1st. Mr S Wales’s Shelegian Truly timeless, (Shetland Sheepdog).

A 7 month old bitch that I could not ignore, balanced and in proportion throughout, carrying a little too much weight today but that did not detract from her obvious qualities. Without exaggeration and everything in its place, her movement was sound and true, and I am sure she has a very promising future ahead, Pleased to hear that she was awarded, Reserve Best Puppy in Show.

2nd. Mr C & Mrs S Bowker & Gibson’s Febus Anapeou (Pyrenean Sheepdog).

3rd. Mrs D & Mrs J A & Mrs E M Colton & Tune & Bonser’s Carerra The Queen Bee (Australian Cattle Dog).

4th. Mrs T L & Mr C M Pickering’s Starwell Here we go Again to Bouvibear (Catalan Sheepdog).

Alex & Margaret Watson Memorial Junior Stakes.

1st. Miss L & Mr J Smith’s Newetta’s Precious in Brown For Comfortcove (IMP DNK) NAF TAF, (Newfoundland).

A 10 month old chocolate brown bitch, lovely breed type substantial throughout but still feminine, broad head, short strong muzzle, dark eyes, and the correct bite. Strong neck, good lay of shoulder and upper arms, deep chest, level topline, strong loin, and the correct bend to her stifle, she moved freely being sound and true, a very promising youngster.

2nd. Miss E M Bradley’s Highforce All Or Nothing JW, (Hungarian Vizsla).

Another exhibit that is an excellent example of his breed, a 13 month old male with a head of the correct proportions, strong muzzle, dark eyes and the correct bite. Clean neck, well laid shoulders, deep chest, well sprung ribcage, and a level back, feet correct, nicely angulated rear quarters, everything balanced and in proportion, he moved with a lively ground covering gait, a bright future I believe.

3rd. Mrs C L Clarke’s Tigerrock I’m Your man, (Welsh Springer Spaniel).
