Many thanks to the Club for inviting me to the judge at this show and to the exhibitors who accepted me as a replacement judge after Mrs Judi Whitworth became ill for the breeds she was judging. My thanks to my steward Pat and co-steward who kept my ring running smoothly all day.

Hungarian Wirehaired Vizsla

Puppy (1,0a)

1) Cooper’s Hazean Donetk To Deifstock (IKC) – 10 months old medium sized bitch who presented a pleasing outline, feminine head with intelligent expression, medium sized oval shape eyes with correct eye shape, moderate length neck into well laid back shoulders, straight front leading to tight feet, good spring of rib, level back, moderate rear end, moved soundly round the ring.

Yearling (2,1a)

1) Court’s Etter’s Gold - 18 month old bitch who presented a pleasing outline, feminine head, moderate length of neck, well sprung ribs carried well back, level topline, moderate rear end, moved exuberantly.

Graduate (1,0a)

1) Court’s Twelveoaks Carolina Red – Smaller framed bitch who was presented in good wire coat, pleasing head with good furnishings, deep chested, well sprung ribs, well muscled rear end, moved soundly.

Open (4,1a)

1) Cooper’s Deifstock Desert Rose – Bitch that appealed for breed type and balance feminine head and intelligent expression with correct proportions, well muscled neck leading into well laid back shoulders straight front leading to tight feet deep chested well sprung ribs moved with purpose and drive BOB

2) Court’s Twelveoaks Crimson Delight – Larger framed bitch that appealed for breed type, pleasing head and intelligent expression, well sprung ribs, level back, good bone, moved soundly, RBOB.

Puppy (5,1a)

1) Matthews’ Sonham Raising The Game – 10 months old balanced black and white dog who appealed for breed type, good head proportions with a kindly expression, medium length ears, slightly arched neck into well laid back shoulders, forelegs straight leading to correct feet, good spring of rib, short coupled, covered the ground well. BPIB

2) Roberts’ Kananaskis Black Bryony – 8 month old black and white bitch with good head and body proportions, long neck into well laidback shoulders, brisket well let down, good spring of rib, short coupled, well bent stifle, moved soundly once she had settled.

3) Hawkes’ Codnorhawk Brucie Bonus Via Tzaziki

Yearling (2,1a)

1) Stilgoe & Fox’s Teisgol Snow Queen - This orange and white bitch appealed for breed type, feminine head and kind expression, dark pigmentation, long neck into well placed shoulders, deep chested, ribs carried well back, well muscled rear end, correct tailset, covered the ground on the move lashing her tail from side to side

Graduate (5,2a)

1) Stilgoe & Oliver’s Teisgol Heaven Sent – Black and white feminine bitch who appealed for breed type, she was not overdone, feminine head with correct proportions, long muscular neck which flowed into well laid back shoulders, straight front leading to tight well arched feet, deep chested, well sprung ribs carried well back, short coupled, well muscled rear end which she used on the move where she covered the ground effortlessly. BOB & BIS 3, well done.

2) Hawkes’ Codnorhawk Brucie Bonus Via Tzaziki - Have judged this liver and white boy before and he gives the handler a hard time. He was more settled in this class than puppy. He appeals for breed type and balance, masculine head with good proportions with bright expression, long neck into well laidback shoulders, straight forelegs leading to well arched feet, short coupled, good bend of stifle, once settled this dog moves soundly.

3) Brooksmith’s Nightgold Pipkin

1) Swannell’s Rickory Ask Me Nicely – This black and white bitch appealed for her overall shape and balance, feminine head with good proportions, muscular neck leading to well placed shoulders, straight front leading to tight feet, well sprung ribs carried well back, short loin, well bent stifles, moved with purpose and drive

2) Matthew’s Sonham Chasing Rainbows – Black and white bitch who presented a pleasing outline, feminine head with correct proportions and kindly expression, straight front leading to tight feet, long slightly arched neck which flowed into well placed shoulders, deep chested, well sprung ribs, short coupled, well bent stifle, moved soundly.

3) Hawkes & Robinson’s Theadom Canopus Of Condorhawk

Puppy (3,1a)

1) Danks-Kemish’s Alolfrana Secret Love Agent – 10 month old balanced dog, masculine head with a kind intelligent expression with moderate ears set low, moderately long neck into shoulders sloping well back, straight front leading to small feet, ribs carried well back, gently sloping top line, in good rich chestnut coat moved well with true action. BPIB

2) Bell & Barker-Bell’s Balintyne Say It Isn’t So – 6 month old bitch who needs time to fill her frame, feminine head with kind expression, good head proportions, moderately long neck into well laidback shoulders, good body proportions, moved soundly once settled.

1) Clarke’s Covarney Dream From Bronrians JW - Pleasing bitch who appeals for breed type, feminine head with intelligent expression, good head proportions, muzzle deep and fairly square at end, moderate sized ears, forelegs straight with plenty of bone, deep chested, firm top line that gently sloped downwards, well bent rear end, moved soundly RBOB

1) Danks-Kemish’s Sh Ch Alolfrana Hotter Than U’Know JW – This dog stood out for breed type and balance and was full of quality, masculine head with skull having plenty of brain room and a well defined occiput, moderately long neck into well laid back shoulders with corresponding return of upper arm, straight front with good bone, deep chested, well sprung ribs, gently sloping top line, powerful hindquarters, in excellent rich chestnut coat, floated round the ring driving from behind. BOB & pleased to hear he was awarded BIS

2) Weir’s Kerrimere Irresistable – 7 year old dog with a masculine head and kindly expression, good length of neck, deep chested, ribs well sprung carried well back, well bent stifle, moved soundly.

3) Millington’s Lanstara Scarlet Ribbons For Pennybourne

1) Bowen’s Clandrift Destiny – Feminine bitch who has breed type, feminine head with a gentle expression, moderately long ears set on low, strong neck, straight well boned forelegs with straight flat bone, well developed chest, well sprung ribs, strong loin, moderate bend of stifle, moved well. BOB.

1) Tew’s Pamicks Dream With Me – 10 months old bitch who needs time to fill her frame, feminine head with dark medium sized eyes, ears correct shape and set, long neck into well laid back shoulders, well muscled rear end, she was enjoying her day out, moved soundly BPIB

Yearling (2,0a)

1) Steveneson’s Mymmsbrook Matador With Blythway JW – Pleasing dog who presented a balanced outline. Masculine head, well chiselled below the eyes with a medium length muzzle, good length of neck into well placed shoulders, well boned forelegs leading to round feet, deep chested, well sprung ribs, correct top line, well muscled rear end, covered the ground well driving from behind. BOB and RBIS, congratulations.

2) Morgan’s Benoveor Endless Love - Balanced compact bitch, muscular neck into good lay back of shoulder, well sprung ribs, deep chested, well off for bone, moderate rear end, moved soundly.

1) Heathcote & Bourton’s Kamuntings Buzz Lightyear – This dog was enjoying his day out, masculine head and expression, moderately long neck into well laid back shoulders, straight well boned forelegs, good spring of rib, well muscled rear end, moved well.

Open (3,1a)

1) Smith’s Isfryn Peeping Tom JW – Balanced dog who won this class on his movement, masculine head with good proportions, muscular neck which flowed into well laid back shoulders, front straight leading to round feet, well sprung ribs, loin slightly arched, well muscled rear end moved with purpose and drive RBOB

2) Bennett’s Helgen Romeo The Lover For Flybourn – Masculine dog who was carrying a bit too much weight over the shoulders, well sprung ribs, moderate rear end, moved soundly.

AV Working Gundog

1) Smith’s Isfryn Peeping Tom JW – As WSS Open – Best AV Working Gundog

2) Hewison’s Casblaidd Island In The Sky SGWC KCWGC – Flatcoated Retriever - Balanced dog, masculine head and expression, good length of neck, straight front but would prefer tighter feet, well sprung ribs, correct top line which he held on the move, well muscled rear end, moved soundly.

3) Durrant’s Glenturrent Happy Go Lucky JW – Flatcoated Retriever

1) Donnell’s Sh Ch Beechillawn Oooh Betty – GWP – This medium sized bitch was presented in hard condition, feminine head and expression with correct furnishings, strong neck into well laid back shoulders, straight front leading to compact feet, deep chested, well sprung ribs, well bent stifle, covered the ground with ease and drove from behind.

2) Hewison’s Donascimento Danilo From Casblaidd SGWC KCWGC - Feminine bitch who unfortunately was carrying a bit too much weight over her shoulders, deep chested, well sprung ribs, moderate bend of stifle moved soundly.

AV Spaniel

Puppy (6, 3,a)

1) Bradbury & Preston’s Harasteorra Big Bear – Sussex Spaniel –. 10 months old dog who stood out for breed type and balance, masculine head with correct proportions and brows frowning, well developed nostrils, strong slightly arched neck leading to well laid back shoulders, deep chested, ribs well back, muscular rear end, moved true with the distinctive Sussex roll. Best Av Spaniel and pleased to hear later that he went onto win BPIS. Well deserved.

2) Clifford’s Tomarisroan Shining Star of Chamford – Cocker Spaniel - 7 month old compact bitch who presented a pleasing outline, feminine head and expression, correct neck which flowed into well laid back shoulders with corresponding return of upper arm, good spring of rib, short in loin, level top line which was carried on the move, good bend of stifle, moved soundly but just not as settled as the winner.

1) Dummett;s Almondsbury The Pop Kids – American Cocker Spaniel – Feminine bitch who was balanced, and presented in good coat, straight well boned front leading to compact feet, good spring of rib, short in loin moderate rear end, moved soundly covering the ground well.

1) Allen-Lin’es Marquell Torshca Chaos – Sussex Spaniel – Masculine dog with a soft expression, strong neck into well laidback shoulders, well boned forelegs, deep chested well sprung ribs, well muscled rear end in rich golden liver coat with golden tips, moved soundly.

2) Rea’s Fenpinque Shooting Star Over Osrealin –Golden Retriever – Balanced bitch that was presented in good coat, good length of neck into well laid back shoulders, straight front leading to cat like feet, deep chested, well sprung ribs, loin short, moved soundly.

3) Hill’s Kimbajak Full Golden Monty Of Waggador – Labrador Retriever
