1. Kruger’s Burqa Di Gucci at White Squall (IMP ITA) NAF TAF – Lovely type with a good head and neat ears when she wasn’t flying them, well arched neck leading into well angulated shoulders. Correct top and underlines. Well angulated rear which she really used to drive around the ring. True front and back movement with plenty of drive from behind, just needs to settle at times which I am sure will come with maturity. RBOB, BPIB & Hound Puppy Group 2

2. Webber’s Denimblue Willdo – Blue and white dog with a lovely head and neck. Would prefer slightly more layback of shoulder. Excellent rear which he used well on the move. Smart boy.

2. Fisher’s Marleben Myracle Melody – pretty fawn bitch but lacking in confidence today. Good head and ear. In excellent coat and condition and moving ok when settled.

1. Mycroft’s Supeta’s Little Darlin’ – Lovely sized fawn brindle bitch of a super type. Very well made fore and aft and in super condition. Excelled on the move with correct extension in front and drive from the rear. BOB and Hound Group 2

2. Yeates & Winter’s Lolani Café Amore – Nice dog with a good head and long neck leading into reasonably well angulated shoulders. Excellent in body with good top and underline. Well angulated read. Moved soundly with good drive.

Post Graduate – 5 entries, 4 absent

1. Martin’s Bowdonia Go The Distance for Stalwart – Fawn brindle dog with good angulation front and rear. Moved soundly. Would prefer him to be slightly more masculine.

Open – 4 entries, 2 absent

1. Fisher’s Marleben Dream Maker – 5yr old fawn bitch with a pretty head and ear. Well angulated front and rear. Moved soundly but flattened out slightly more than I like in topline on the move.

2. Yeates & Winter’s Zoraden Bright Star – Fawn parti dog with an excellent head and neck. Well angulated shoulder, good ribbing. Moved soundly with some drive.

AVNSC Hound

Puppy – 7 entries, 4 absent

1. Finch’s Conestoga and Crossroads English Dream at Otterslade (IMP USA) Impressive Otterhound bitch who has a lovely head, correctly folded ear, strong neck leading into correct shoulders. Well ribbed back and strong loin. Rear angulation ok. Moves so well in profile, just slightly narrow behind but I am sure this will improve as she matures. Really liked her. RBOB, BPIB and Hound Puppy Group 1

2. Lewin’s Soletrader Special Effect 6 month old PBGV male who is a lovely type and has lots of potential for the future. Typical head for age, well angulated both ends. Moved well when he settled. Enjoying his first show and giving his owner a bit of a hard time!

1. Milligan-Bott & Bott’s Medawlark Attitude is Key The Wines Thendara (IMP RUS) Nice B/Cr Afghan bitch in excellent coat and condition. Fine head with strong jaws, well angulated shoulder, could use a longer upper arm. Good ribbing and well angulated rear. Moved well once she had settled in the class but came into her own in the challenge. BAVNSC & Hound Group 4

2. Kirk-Vickers, Pullen & Thomas’ Geordele Time To Shine at Istani Afghan – B/T Afghan bitch just out of puppy, nice type. Excellent front angulation, good ribbing and well angulated rear. Typical for age in body. Moved well.

2. Heather’s Whiteorchard Aurora nice type Irish Wolfhound bitch lacking a little in confidence. Excellent on the move showing her good angulation as she drove around the ring.

1. Garratt & Oakley’s Caryna Remeny Lovely headed B/Cr Saluki bitch with a long neck leading into excellent shoulders. Well ribbed back, strong loin slightly rising to rear. Correct angulation behind. Moved well.

2. Judge’s Plushcourt Good Golly 2yr old Podengo bitch who was lovely when she settled, excellent head and ear. Well angulated front and rear. Moved particularly well. With more confidence between dog and handler I am sure this lovely bitch will do much more.

AV Hound

1. Judge’s Plushcourt Guessing 11 month old Podengo litter sisters. Good head and ear, correct angulation both ends, moved well with a brisk stride, sound coming and going.

2. Judge’s Plushcourt Gibberish Slightly longer cast than 1 with less leg. Good head and ear, well angulated rear which she used well on the move when she settled.

Junior – 5 entries, 3 absent

2. Mischran Asherah at Mournebrake Borzoi bitch with a lovely head showing good veining for age. Shoulder well angulated but would prefer a longer upper arm. Good top and underline, strong loin. Well angulated rear. Moved soundly but lifts front feet slightly more than I prefer on the move. In excellent coat and condition.

2. Corominas’ Luna Nueva De Los Olivos De Quinto Red Mini Smooth Dachs in excellent coat and condition. Good height to length proportion and moves parallel both ends.

1. Woodcock’s CH Abbotsoak Any Dream Will Do Lovely Ibizan Hound male headed this strong class. Excellent type, good head with correct ear. Correct front angulation which gave him the breed typical hover in front. Excellent ribbing and loin. Well angulated read. Really smart boy.

1. Starkey’s CH Carpaccio Jasper From Hamoura ShCM VW Lovely B/T Smooth Haired Dachshund boy I have judged before, not showing his 10 years at all. Lovely masculine head, strong neck leading into excellent shoulders, well ribbed back with strong loin. Good rear angulation. Moves soundly from all angles.

2. CH Caryna Neferti JW ShCM – Cream 7yr old Saluki bitch in beautiful condition. Lovely head and neck leading into excellent shoulders, correct ribbing and body. Well angulated rear. Moves so well. Pushed hard.

1. Dance’s CH Emem Constance Sunshine JW Typey mini wire Dachshund bitch with a good head and neck. Well laid shoulder, good ribbing. Excellent rear which she really used well on the move. Parallel coming and going and good reach and drive in profile. Excellent temperament, just loves to show. Really smart and won this group in strong competition

3. Moore’s Megline Bohemian Rhapsody (IMP ROM) – Smart WH Dachshund bitch who has a lovely head and neck, good shoulders, well ribbed back and a tidy rear. Excellent coat and condition and moves well.
