Firstly I would like to thank the officers and committee for the invitation to judge at their lovely show, I had a very enjoyable day in good company, fantastic hospitality and a friendly atmosphere made it complete. Secondly as always I thank you the exhibitors for a lovely entry and turn out, and who entrusted my judgement and handling of their lovely dogs.


Irish Setters

Puppy (5, 2) – 1. Begg’s – Sumaric Sweet Lit’l Mystery. 8 month old with a excellent head shape of equal plains, nice eye shape and colour, set on low of ear, good frontage for age with plenty of well sprung rib behind, nicely formed slightly arched neck through to good shoulders, nice gentle slope from withers through topline to good set on tail, well proportioned in rear quarters, good muscle toning to both 1st and 2nd thighs, good well arched toes on tight feet, moved well in the noisy atmosphere and small ring. BPIB 2. Mead & Milligan-Bott’s- Thendara Perfect Persuit. Good overall outline, with nice equal plains to head, good eye shape and colouring, low set on ears, well constructed front assembly, plenty of good well sprung rib for a youngster, moved ok in a difficult environment. Junior (2,1) – 1. Greenan & Hopwell’s – Lochlorien No Offence Juleset. Very good outline looked the business, good shape to head with equal plains and good chiselling, nice expression with kind eye and low set ears, strong front with good upper arm back to well laid shoulder, deep chest to elbow and well sprung for plenty of heart room, good across topline and nicely finished off croup, well toned 1st and 2nd thighs, finishing with well arched toes on fine tight feet, coat in good condition, could of done with a longer ring to get the full value of the strong stride. BOB. Post Graduate (4,1) – 1. Greenan & Hopwell’s – Lochlorien No Offence Juleset- As Above. 2. Holehan’s – Loganrish Diamonds N’Pearls. Nice outline, good plains to head shape, with a nice dark eye, ear set good, nicely arched neck flowing into good lay of shoulder and through good topline to well set tail, plenty of good well shaped bone at front, good shaping to feet well arched toes, good muscle tone to 1st and 2nd thighs, presented well, moved with drive. Open (1) 1. Holehan’s – Loganrish Lets Go Crazy. Nice on the stack, with a good shape to dark eye, soft expression, low set on ears, has a good shape and proportions to front, equal length to shoulder and upper arm at a good angle, strong in bone, feet tidy tight with well arched toes, strong well sprung rib, good croup and tail set, 1st and 2nd thigh has plenty of well toned muscle, moved ok in the noisy surroundings.


Pointers

Puppy (4,2) 1. Westway,s – Teisgol keep on Going via Penwest. Smashing boy of good proportions, symmetrical  and correct in outline, through a good topline, good shape to head with well defined stop, nice oval shape to bone in nicely packaged forequarters, strong muscular neck with a nice arch, good spring of rib going back to well muscled loin, good bend of stifle to well let down hocks, with good toning to 1st and 2nd thigh, tidy close knit feet, moved exceptionally well with a driving gait covering the small ring with ease. BPIB. 2. Hawkes & Robinson’s – Codnorhawk Brucie Bonus. Dog with a look pleasing to the eye, good shaping to head all in proportion, with a good defined stop, eye colouring good, with well toned strong neck leading through a good well laid back of shoulder, strong across the topline to muscled loin, 1st and 2nd thigh has good strength to them, feet neat and tidy with nicely arched toes, movement was ok for one so young in difficult noisy surroundings. Junior (2,1) 1. Harrison’s – Millpoint Hearts Desire. 15 month old bitch of fabulous outline, good equal proportions to head, eyes giving a kind soft expression, slightly arched well toned neck leading through well laid back shoulders to a short coupled strong loin, plenty of lung room in well sprung ribs with good depth to the elbows, good length to front pasterns strong with a slight slope, well toned and muscular 1st and 2nd thighs, hocks well let down from a good bend in stifle, moved with grace and ease but totally with drive and fluidity. Post Graduate (6,4) 1.  As Above Harrison’s – Millpoint Hearts Desire. 2. Ram’s – Jilony Brown Velvet. Nice equal proportions to head and with a good defined stop, true outline from long strong slightly arched neck across well laid back shoulders to good loin, front assembly having straight forelegs and plenty of good oval bone, lengthy strong pasterns, well toned 1st and 2nd thighs on good bend of stifle, moved well with a good gait. Open (3,1) 1. Harrison’s – Millpoint Sound Wave JW. Sound Bitch with a fantastic outline, giving the look of grace with power, well proportioned head with equal plains and a good eye in colour and expression, ear nicely set high and with a good feel, neck strong and with moderate arch flowing into a good lay of shoulder, great deep chest to elbow with plenty of lung and heart room, well sprung in rib, front assembly with good length to pasterns showing strength, nice oval bone, sinews visible and felt strong, rear angulation good with plenty of bend in stifle, held together with strong muscular 1st and 2nd thighs, feet nicely arched over the toes, tight and oval in shape, moved with a positive drive and smooth gait covering the ground effortlessly. BOB. 2. Davies – Phlynnies Our Maid Marion. Having a good shape to head with equal plains, soft expressive eye of good colour, ear set good, slightly arched well toned neck, plenty of  good oval bone in front, good strong deep chest with plenty of well sprung rib, nice shaping to a strong loin, plenty of toned muscle in both 1st and 2nd thigh on a good bend to stifle, moved well with a smooth gait.


English Springer Spaniel

Post Graduate (2,1) 1. Gledhill’s – Greg De Les Tres Llacunes (Imp). Very symmetrical looking on the stand, good shape to head fairly broad and nicely rounded to a pleasing stop, eyes of good shape and colour, well set ears level on eye and of good width, well muscled strong neck tapering up to skull, well boned straight forelegs set from a well laid back shoulder, plenty of deep well sprung rib back to strong loin, broad and strong 1st and 2nd thigh on a moderate bend to stifle, moved easily around the ring, presented well.
