I thoroughly enjoyed my day judging the Japanese Chins down at Preston. My sincere

thanks go to the Officers and Committee for the kindness and hospitality that was extended

to me during my visit. My excellent Steward’s did a marvellous job ensuring the ring run

smoothly. I would also like to thank you the exhibitors for such a fabulous entry giving me

the opportunity of judging your beautiful dogs and for taking my decisions in the manner in

which it was given.

Puppy (3)

1.Thomas J Threadgold Dan Dare At Javalcy 11 month old b/w male with lovely square

outline, well presented silky coat, nice , shaped head with correct ear set, dark eye with the

right amount of white, nice wide nostrils, good reach of neck , and a rounded rib cage, good

turn of stifle. Moved soundly both going and coming with plenty of drive maintaining a level

back. BPB (Was pleased to hear he went on to get puppy group 3)

2.Hoskins Kirdanchi Chinny Bang Bang lovely b/w 6 month old girl out at her first show

which she took in her stride. She stood square with fine strong bone , good body for age with

a level top line which she maintained on the move. Good, shaped head with lovely dark

wide nostrils that I like to see. Less mature in body and coat due to age than 1 but one to

watch for the future .

2.Crane L Cranvarl’s Macey Grey 16 month r/w girl with a nice head, well placed ears, dark

eye with perfect look of astonishment and good cushioning , sufficient width of chest, good

straight front legs, moderate reach of neck and level top line which she held on the move.

Well feathered tail carried over her back.

Post Graduate (4,2)

1.Holland-Smith S Kirdanchi Chiana Senshi b/w 19 month boy which I have had the pleasure

to judge before as a puppy and delighted at how he has matured. Good sized pleasing head

with good pigmentation to nose and dark eye, good cushioning, well set profusely feathered

ears , shapely and cobby body with good width of chest with a high set tail. Silky straight coat

with hare feet moved out well with level top line. Shame he wasn’t happy in the challenge

as he had hurt his eye.

2.McFarlane J Jeskandai Koi No Yokan B/w 3 and half year old boy with pretty head and

expression with large well pigmented dark eye complete with look of astonishment. Good

body and breadth of chest with level top line and high set well carried tail. Moved out well.

Exhibitor asked if I would go over him from back to front on the table as he has had a bad

experience before. He did well and I manage to go over him and try to make it a more

pleasurable experience for him. Slightly larger than 1.

Open (4,1)

1.Crane L Anjuli Margo For Cranvarl b/w 2 yr old girl with well rounded evenly marked head,

broad well cushioned muzzle, correct bite, and dark expressive eyes with typical look of

astonishment . Coat of correct silky texture , strong neck and a rounded rib cage, strong in

loins. Moved soundly with plenty of drive and maintaining a level top line with high set tail

plumed over back. Lively and sound on the move with lovely hare feet. BOB

2.Holland-Smith S Sleepyhollow Cover Girl For Kirdanchi b/w 2 and half year old girl well

coated, dark eye with perfect look of astonishment and good cushioning, shapely and cobby ​

body with good width of chest with a high set tail, excellent on the move. I preferred the head

on 1 more.
