HOUND CLUB OF EAST ANGLIA SHOW - 29th May 2022.

Thank you to the committee for inviting me to judge at this popular Premier Open Show, and to Dee and Dawn who kept the ring tick over most efficiently.

WHIPPETS

PUPPY 1

1st Reece, Mrs SM Saleeham Stardancer 7 month fawn brindle bitch. Stood naturally over a lot of ground. Head long and lean, bright oval eyes and rosed ears carried well. Long elegantly arched neck leading to correct front, good dept of chest and lovely tuck up for one so young. Balanced rear quarters with hocks well let down. BP and PG4

JUNIOR 4 (1)

1st Wilton-Clark, Miss J Shalfleet Chasing the Wind 15 month old brindle and white boy, shown in super condition. He has a long flat skull with a good length of muzzle, correct dentition and strength to jaw. Graceful arch to neck which flows into a nicely angulated front assembly. Forearms straight with bladed bone, correct sloping to pasterns and well knuckled feet. Lovely sweeping underline and broad muscular loin. Coat short and close. Moved with freedom of action. 

2nd Maxwell, Miss G Marcus Rosa Gallica Daphne 16 month old red bitch well grown. Feminine head with a dark mask. Correct length of muzzle and powerful clean-cut jaws. Strong neck into well angulated front. Forearms straight and upright, well arched feet with thick pads. Good length to back, rear well muscled. Tail set a little high. Moved freely around the ring.

POST GRADUATE 8 (4)

1st Hills, Mrs C & Miss M Shimmeree Cool Calico 3 year old blue bitch. Super balanced outline, lovely curves without any exaggeration. Feminine head with gentle expression and rosed ears. Elegantly arched, long muscular neck. Desired front and rear angulation, good length and return of upper arm, lovely depth of brisket. Back broad and well ribbed with a well defined loin. Wonderful profile movement, holding her top line. Well handled.

2nd Thomas & Halliday, Ms M & Mrs A Brochinbelle Ooh La La at Bowdonia 2 year old pale fawn brindle bitch. Creates a pleasing outline when standing. Pretty head with good length of muzzle and fine rosed ears. Elegant neck with well placed shoulders and correct depth of chest. Curvy top line and underline. Well angulated rear, super width to 2nd thigh. Moved soundly on the up and back. 

LIMIT 7 (2)

1st Reece, Mrs SM Saleehah Moonflower 3 year old pale fawn brindle bitch. She has length and leanness of skull, good eye shape and a bright expression. Strong neck with a graceful arch that flows into a good front. Correct length of upper arm with flat muscles. Her rear angulation is balanced, well muscled with an unexaggerated bend of stifle. Moved with a long easy stride.

2nd Thomas, Ms M Bowdonia Colors of the Wind 2 ½ year old white and brindle bitch. Dark pigment with a lovely expression and small rosed ears carried well. Muscular neck, good depth of brisket with a well ribbed back and strong loin. Correctly angulated rear quarters, low hocks and well developed second thighs. Balanced and feminine, shown in super coat and condition.

OPEN 7 (1)

1st Samson, Miss L Romaclove the Power of Love 2½ year old blue bitch. Loved her outline, a series of curves from nose to tail. The prettiest head of correct proportions, fine rosed ears carried well. Strong elegant neck flowing into well laid shoulders, forelegs straight with strong sloping pasterns and super well knuckled feet. Good depth of chest and infill, curvy underline, correct spring of rib, muscular strong loin with a gentle sloping croup. Correct top line which she holds on the move. Coat gleaming and presented in good hard condition. Moved effortlessly with reach and drive. BOB

2nd Wilton-Clark, Miss J Shalfleet Bridget Jones 2 ½ years old red brindle bitch with white trim. Well proportioned head with a super expression and correct dentition. Lovely elegantly arched neck that flows into well laid shoulders with flat muscles, forearms straight with bladed bone and well knuckled oval feet. Super depth of chest, excellent top line and underline that creates a curvy outline in profile . Balance rear angulation with well bent stifles and strong low hocks which she used to power around the ring. Lovely side gait movement. RBOB
