Curly Coated Retriever

A lovely entry unfortunately a lot of absentees on the day.

Puppy (4, 3abs)

1st Gorchest’s Pendlecurl’s Rising Star at Pepperiever (Imp USA)

Black bitch puppy of pleasing size, liked her outline. Feminine head, of correct shape, dark brown eyes, strong slightly arched neck, shoudlers well laid, enough bone and excellent feet. Body developing well, firm topline which she maintained standing and moving, tail well set and carried. Moved freely, covering the ground with ease. Happy and outgoing, BP.

Junior (4, 1abs)

1st Clayton Lizalwood Mr Bojangles

Medium sized brown dog of pleasing size and substance, head of correct shape as were his eyes but they do still need to darken a little. Strong and clean through the neck, excellent bone and well padded feet. Body of good depth and developing well, can still firm a little in topline, strong through the loin. Strong quarters, well muscled, moves freely and positively in all directions. Well presented and handled to get the best from him. BOB

2nd Courtier Maycourt Stairway to Heaven

A bitch I have judged as a puppy and whom I admired then but wasn’t very co-operative today. She is of pleasing size, feminine but with substance. Pleasing head, eyes of good colour and shape. Strong neck of pleasing length and goodforehand. Ribbed well back and firm in topline, strong though the loin. Well muscled and presented in good coat of pleasing texture, I am sure she will have better days.

3rd Edworthy’s Maycourt Heartbreaker

Post Graduate D/B (6, 5abs)

1st CourtierMaycourt Stairway to Heaven

As previous class

Open D/B (3, 2abs)

1st Perkins Tengore Ruby Tuesday

Black bitch of a pleasing type, liked her head shape and proportions, dark eyes of good shape, ears well set. Pleasing length of neck, good forehand, good bone although could have a little more length of leg for ideal balance. Well ribbed back and bodied and with pleasing quarters. Moved positively forward and aft but not putting all in here.
