Thank you to the South Yorkshire Hound Society committee for the invitation to judge Rhodesian Ridgebacks. I was overwhelmed with my entry, thank you to exhibitors who entered, I know you had a choice on that day. I had some stunning dogs to judge. Also, a big thank you to my super efficient stewards who kept the ring flowing.

Class 87 - Puppy

1. Beattie Mutoko’s Heaven and Earth: 11 mth substantial bitch. Nice front assembly with width good fore and depth of chest, slightly heavy head for the age, good ears, nice mask, well ribbed back, good croup with correct tail set. Balanced angulation front and back, slightly wide on the elbows. BP

2. Murry Kinabula’s Bonjangels of Dellared: 11 mth dog up to the size but yet to develop its body. Very good type of head with dark eyes and correct ear set. Nicely angulated front and back, with good infill of the breast and correct croup, nice tight feet.

Class 88 - Junior

1. Larkin Loki Desert Marvel: 13 mth well put together balanced dog. Good head with excellent head plains and correct ear placement. Level topline sporting long and correct ridge. Stood solid on tight feet. At this moment and age, a little loose on the move. Just needs a little more time to finish off more but lots to like here.

Class 89 - Post Graduate

1. Humphrey Priorpark Peaky Blinder: 20 mth nicely pigmented liver nose bitch. Feminine head with good eye shape and colour. Mid-size, balanced body with perfect topline, good angels and correct croup. Effortless on the move and looked as she could just keep going. BOB

2. Murry Priorpark Patience Of Dellared: 20 mth bitch, wheaten bitch, of similar attributes to 1 and with plenty to like about this girl, feminine head with an intelligent expression with the round eye. Pleasing size and outline. Nice topline which she held on the move but slightly falling-off at the coup.

Class 90 - Open

1. Parsons Pot Kettle Black JW: Beautiful wheaten girl with a hint of black mask. Typey head with strong of muzzle. Lovely dark and well-shaped eyes. Balanced all around with good bone, super feet, solid topline but slightly falling-off at the coup. Nice depth of chest with very good underline. Nice, long, and correct ridge. Moved soundly away and back. RBOB

2. Rhodes Priorpark You Coda Be Mine of Meltalrock JW: Handsome all male head, with a dark eye and correct size and set ear. Deep in chest, good forechest and well ribbed back. Good topline and underline, would have preferred a touch more length in body. Stands on good straight legs with compact feet. Moved well .
