Italian Spinone Puppy (4, 1 Abs)

 3 lovely puppy dogs.

 1st Mr P J & Mrs T A Culling’s

 Lucoru Blown Over

7.5-month-old W/O Dog, standing square with a lovely masculine head of good proportions, lean oval skull with pronounced occiput. Good depth and width to muzzle. Lovely big spongy nose. Lovely soft expression with eyes of good shape, size and ochre in colour. Ears are correctly set on. Leading into a strong, short arched neck, shoulders are well laid back, his upper arm is of a good length. Well ribbed to short loin, he has good depth and very good belly line for a baby this age. Rear well-muscled, would like slightly more bend of stifle, this should improve as he matures and his second thigh fully develops. Thick skin and coat of a good texture finish what is a very promising puppy I could have taken home, one to watch.

2nd Mrs V A Glazik’s

 Ellisbell Piaggio

11.5-month-old W/O dog, further on in development than 1st but not yet mature by any means. Masculine head with correct divergence, soft expression, ears set on correctly. Stood slightly longer than square, but again another with very good depth for his age, that coupled with strong bone present a very masculine picture, and I do like a dog to look like a dog! This boy carries a lot of his sire’s desirable attributes, and is well balanced, but unfortunately not using that to his advantage today. Once he gets it together in the ring I expect he will get up there with the best.

 Junior (1, 1 Abs)

 Postgraduate (2,1 Abs)

 1st Mr P & Mrs E Lawton’s

 Quebaikei Accossato for Oaklaw

2-year-old W\O Bitch stood alone here, but worthy of her first place. Standing slightly longer than square, but acceptable in a young bitch at this stage of development. Feminine of good size, divergent head planes, lovely expression, correct scissor bite, ears are well set on. Strong neck flows into typical top line, broad croup, good width of thigh and good length to second thigh, good bend of stifle which she uses to good effect. She has a good pronounced sternum, good depth to chest and very good belly line. Very positive when moving, best movement today! A lot to like, but ultimately I preferred the return of upper arm on the open winner. RBOB

Lucoru Fairy Tale of New York

Rising 4-year-old W/O handsome dog. Lovely head on this boy, lean, well balanced with good divergence, his skull is oval, roof like, with pronounced occiput. Eye of a good size, correct ochre colour and gorgeous melting expression. Strong arched neck, stood he is balanced, which is confirmed when going over him, shoulders well laid back with very good length and return of upper arm, lacking in many. This is complimented by his equally good rear construction complete with good width of thigh and good length to second thigh He has good oval bone, well ribbed back with excellent belly line, presented in excellent condition. Won here on his very good conformation. I feel that we have still yet to see the best of him. Delighted to award him a well-deserved BOB

 2nd Mrs V A Glazik’s Ellisbell Mr Sandman

7.5-Year-old W/O boy. Now mature, I’ve judged both as a puppy and approaching his prime I liked him a lot then and my previous comments still apply. Another well balanced boy, Masculine head with divergence, lovely expression. Strong bone, good skin and coat, well-muscled throughout. This dog is a huge character, and even as a veteran I have seen him pull out all the stops, but today he was a bit lacklustre which ultimately cost him.

 Bracco Italiano

 Special Yearling

 1st Mr M R & Mrs C R Sanderson’s

Whitgun U’ Can’t Touch This at Walwal

8.5 Months old O/R Bitch. What a little cracker she is. Very feminine head, lean at Zygomatic arches with good divergence, good chiselling under eyes. Muzzle could have a tad more width, but ok for a young bitch, lovely spongy nose, eyes commensurate with coat colour, correct pigmentation throughout. Strong scissor bite. Strong neck leading into well-muscled shoulder, well ribbed with good depth of chest for her age. Standing slightly longer than square, acceptable in a young bitch IMO. Very well-muscled with good width to thigh, well-developed second thigh this combined with her strong feet allowed her to move away with power and confidence here today. Very promising puppy, who progress will watch with interest. BPIB and delighted to watch her later get BPIS 4 huge well done.

 2nd Mr M & Mrs K Goode’s

Rus De Viaro Olympia at Brackenvale

17-month-old white/orange bitch, different type to first, head long with correct proportions ears set on correctly with eyes ochre in colour with lovely soft expression. Powerful neck into compact and powerful body, square and with good depth to ribs and belly line. Well angulated rear with strong lean muscle, second thigh of good length. Well off for bone for a young bitch, standing straight front/back, maintaining her top line on the move, unlucky to meet first on top form.

Sh Ch. Owlspoint Master of Trouble (ShCM ShCEX)

7-year-old orange dog, what a handsome dog! Gorgeous noble head, of correct proportions long, lean with good width at zygomatic arches, pronounced occiput with strong muzzle of good depth, correct scissor bite and a lovely big spongy nose! Going over him you can feel his lovely thick skin with that slight spring to it without an ounce of excess fat on him. He is well angulated throughout and so well-muscled from his broad croup to his well-muscled thighs, with excellent second thigh, which enabled him to move around the ring with such power and ease today, truly belying his veteran status. I was absolutely delighted to later watch him go on to take RBIS, very well done, it was a pleasure to judge him.

 2nd Mr M & Mrs K Goode’s

Viljetun’s Viking Sigurd at Brackenvale (IMP NOR)

This quality 14-month-old dog pulled out all the stops today. Standing, he is balanced and so typical. Lovely head of correct proportion and another so well-muscled with strong bone, he moves soundly with good reach and drive and although not yet mature and giving away quite a bit in age he could not be overlooked here today and did enough to secure RBOB, lovely boy who I will watch with interest.

 German Wirehaired Pointer

 1st Mr R & Mrs A Geary’s

 Germanus Stands Out a Mile

Quality 17-month-old medium sized bitch, very feminine head, balanced and of good proportions with enough breadth to skull. Eyes dark in colour, strong jaws with scissor bite. Standing slightly longer than square, as desired, balanced which is confirmed when going over her. Strong through her body, she has lovely angulation throughout, deep chest with good spring of rib leading to tuck up. Well-muscled strong thighs, with good bend of stifle. This girl powered around the ring, best mover here today. What a lovely young bitch, I will watch her progress with interest BOB.

 2nd Miss B Kearns’

 Rudishaw Waltzing Matlilda

13 Month old bitch, giving away a bitch in age and maturity to first today. A taller bitch than first, but giving the desired profile of slightly longer than square when stood. I liked the head on his bitch, she had a lovely dark eye, with correct scissor bite, decent compact oval feet. Moved ok.
