Isle Of Man Canine Society

Isle of Man Canine Society

Sunday 1st May 2022

Many thanks to the hard working committee for their kind invitation and wonderful hospitality. I really enjoyed the snapshot of this wonderful island and the opportunity to judge some top quality dogs. My top winners are already making their presence felt at the highest level on the mainland and competition for the major awards was very keen. An impressive array of trophies made their efforts worthwhile. It was good to hear warm applause for the winners.

Junior Handling

1 Lilee Fletcher Merryweather

This class was renamed by the ringside as the smallest handler and the biggest dog class! This young lady showed her Leonberger really well. She followed my instructions to a tee. She could show many of us how to do a correct triangle. A very able handler. Well done.

Adult Handling (5)

1 Caroline Qualtrough

Showing a cocker to advantage, standing it correctly and moving at the right speed. She followed my instructions precisely and got the best out of her exhibit at all times. A competent performance.

2 Lorna Tyrer

Showing a Leonberger, not an easy breed for a class such as this but again followed my instructions with minimal of fuss and paying attention to her dog at all times. Moved it at the correct pace. Well done.

3 Helen Cowley

Stood her BSD so well and moved at the correct pace. Just went on the wrong side of her at the crucial moment.
