Spire Toy Dog Society

Japanese Chin- Daniel Rees

PD/B (1).

1st Pearce & Hann’s Rakuchin Queen Of D’nile. Stood alone and was somewhat hesitant. This young bitch excelled in head qualities. Super for gently rounded head with pleasing expression-finished with great nose placement. Correct developing coat texture. BPIB

JD/B (1,2abs).

1st McFarlene’s Corrinwood Peter Piper. A dog who stood alone and one that was stronger in rear than front movement. However, this square and compact dog, with level top line demonstrates the correct amount of expression and good ear set.

PGD/B (1,2abs).

1st Pearce & Hann’s Rakuchin Ring Romeo. This dogs dislike of the flooring made it challenging to assess his movement. However, this correctly, square dog is well constructed with a good depth of rib and good turn of stifle. He carries a wealth of good quality coat of the correct texture.

OD/B (2, 2abs).

A class of two quality veteran dogs who are great ambassadors for the breed.

1st Pearce & Hann’s Holmchin Secret Affair With Rakuchin. This 8-year-old dog exudes the elegant and aristocratic appearance of the Japanese Chin. He excels in head qualities with his moderately broad skull and the ideal demonstration of the ‘look of astonishment.’ He demonstrated straight and accurate movement both going and coming, whilst maintaining his top line throughout. Presented and handled expertly, he flowed around the ring effortlessly. Absolutely no hesitation in awarding him BOB and later watching him win the Veteran Stakes.

2nd McFarlene’s Myojo Morgan ShCM. Heavier in bone than first place, but with a pleasing square and compact outline and ‘cobby’ body. Correct expression and head proportions. Once settled, and after his party trick spin, his movement was good and he maintained his shape on the move.
