CRYSTAL PALACE CANINE ASSOCIATION OPEN SHOW

SUNDAY 27TH NOVEMBER 2022

Many thanks to the Committee of Crystal Palace Canine Association for the invitation to judge at their show and also to my Stewards who were exemplary in keeping the ring running like clockwork and the Exhibitors honouring me with a lovely entry and allowing me to go over your dogs, I found temperaments throughout all the breeds to be excellent along with presentation and handling.

1st CASTLE Miss – JUPAVIA DIVINE DREAM – lovely dog pup of just over 6 months old, appeals on overall balance and even at this young age he oozes masculinity, lovely head and intelligent expression, excellent front and rear angulation which showed through into his movement.

2nd HARTFIELD Mrs PA – MOSHANTA MEMORIES MOVE ON – 8 month bitch, another with good overall shape, nice head and expression I just preferred the rear angulation and drive of 1.

3rd CARR Ms S – JUPAVIA SILVER THREAD

1st CARLEY Miss V – JUPAVIA SILVER FLAME – quality puppy bitch of just over 6 months of age, excellent head and expression, lovely length of neck, well laid back shoulders and excellent turn of stifle, wonderful to watch on the move with lovely reach and drive whilst holding a firm topline, one to watch, was pleased to award RBOB, BPIB & Pastoral Puppy Group 2

2nd HAWKER Mrs V – MOSHANTA MAGIC PENNY FOR TAYTINJA JW – 17 month bitch with a lovely feminine head and alert expression, good topline and angulation front and rear, I just preferred the forward reach on the move of 1.

3rd HARTFIELD Mrs PA – MOSHANTA MEMORIES MOVE ON

1st CARLEY Miss V & Mrs J – JUPAVIA PHOENIX FIRE – dog puppy of just over 6 months of age, after judging discovered this male to be sibling to both the puppy and junior class winners, again, this young man has an appealing head, good length and lovely angulations front and rear and moved well, congratulations to the breeder on a lovely litter.

2nd ORMOND-WALSHE Miss – SHELTYSHAM SYMPHONY O’PSALM – Lovely almost 3 year old bitch with good head and alert expression, nice length of neck, slightly wide on the move coming toward, preferred the front angulation and movement of 1.

3rd CRIDDLE Mrs S – JUPAVIA HEAVENLY HEART

1st SINGERS & CARLEY Mrs L, Mr R & Miss V – JUPAVIA HEART OF MELITA VIA SENZAFINA – Extremely appealing 2 year old bitch who has lovely overall balance and has excellent lay back of shoulder and front a rear angulation, on the move she holds an excellent topline, movement being free and light with excellent ground coverage, outmoved the rest today and could not be denied BOB.

2nd CARR Ms S – KIRKBRIDGEND RHEA – pretty and attentive 6 year old bitch, lovely head and underjaw, good length and angulations I just preferred the overall movement of 1 today.

1st CHURCH & CERCHIHAI Mrs S, Mrs L & Miss K – INVANSE TICKETS FOR SALE – eye catching for her excellent overall shape and balance, this 2 year old bitch has an attitude of look at me, such a lovely feminine bitch with a wonderful head and expressive alert eye, excellent dentition and bite, moved extremely well to win BOB and Pastoral Group 2

2nd CHALLIS, Mrs A & Mr A – LOUANDI ERA – 3 year old dog who is slightly longer in back with tail set slightly high, has a lovely head shape but too much black above the eye and brow, would prefer tighter front movement.

1st DEARMAN & HENSON Ms S & Mr M – LISJOVA ETERNAL GUARDIAN FOR PYREKEES – very handsome and upstanding 18 month old dog who carries a lovely well proportioned head with excellent expressive eyes with no degree of drooping in lower lids, good strong neck, powerful dog with good overall balance who moved extremely well, would love to see him at maturity.

2nd DUFFELL Mr I – RICADUFFAL ROCK STAR – 5 year old bitch who would rather have been at home today, good overall shape and size, slight droop in lower eyelid and would prefer darker eye colour, movement ok when she was not trying to head out of the ring.

1st BARNES & KING Ms L & Miss I – STARVON FAME AWAITS FOR IZLOU – Swedish Vallhund – a top drawer and extremely pretty 9 month puppy bitch who oozes quality and confidence, excellent wedge shape head with attractive well defined mask, good length of neck into well laid shoulders, held a good topline whilst standing and on the move and wonderful watching her move from all angles, loved her well defined and bent stifle. 2nd WEBB Mrs J E – HOSCAR ISABELLA – Lancashire Heeler – 9 month old liver and tan bitch puppy with good head proportions, nice eye shape, good ears, good length and held tail well, lovely well turned stifle, moved extremely well.

1st – FELSTEAD Mrs D – LANKEELA YOU GO BOSS AT FOVEAUX – Lancashire Heeler – 10 month old dog puppy who featured 3rd in previous class, he is a lovely shape and has a pleasing head but his ears need to settle, has lovely angulation, moved better in this class than previously.

1st WINFIELD Mrs E C – BROWNIEGLEN’S GHILLIE DHU – Welsh Corgi (Pembroke) – 22 month old black/tan/white dog with a good foxy head, lovely expression, good ears, decent length of neck, lovely chest, good length of body and lovely level topline when standing and on the move, moved extremely well. 2nd FLETCHER, FINNIGAN & CHURCH Miss L, Mr D, Mr S & Mrs L – INVANSE PICK N’MIX – Belgian Shepherd Dog (Groenendael) – 5 year old quality dog in excellent condition and groomed to perfection, excellent head, length of neck, really well balanced dog, moved extremely well. RESERVE BEST AVNSC

Moved well, lovely clean white but lacking dark skin pigmentation. BEST AV IMPORTED BREED REGISTER.

A full compliment of excellent quality Best of Breed winners of which close decisions had to be made, congratulations to all who were present in the Pastoral Group.

Well proportioned bitch of 20 months, presented to perfection, covered the ground with ease, well deserved Pastoral Group winner.

Group 3 – SHARPE & DYER Miss N & Mr R – CATSUN COMANCHE LEGACY – Hungarian Puli – well corded and square dog of almost 6 years, covered the ground well to take Group 3.

Group 4 - WINFIELD Mrs E C – BROWNIEGLEN’S GHILLIE DHU – Welsh Corgi (Pembroke) – My Best AVNSC Pastoral winner.

A lovely group of extremely promising puppies, all still showing well at the end of a long day, congratulations to all.
