Birmingham & District Dobermann Club

Many thanks to the Secretary and committee of this Club who gave me a warm welcome, I thoroughly enjoyed my day, thank you also to my steward Paul who kept the ring flowing. I was a little disappointed not to be judging this lovely breed outside where I am sure they could have showed their movement to better advantage, I love seeing working breeds moving on a spacious, natural surface, that said I was pleased with my overall winners.

PD 1(0)

1. Evans’ Lateagain Heart of Fire. 9 month old male with masculine head of good proportions, good eye and strong muzzle, nicely proportioned all through with sound top-line and good croup, straight front with good depth of chest and sound, well muscled rear, showed some promising movement when settled, BPD.

1. Hutchison/Mycroft’s Supeta’s Big Hunk O’Love for Debison JW. Upstanding young male of 13 months, all male, strong head of good proportions with lovely eye and good ear-set, keen expression, straight front with compact feet and bone, good forechest, correct body proportions with good depth of chest, moved out well once settled but a dog I’m sure would come into his own in a large, outdoor ring, BD, RBIS & BOS.

2. Weston’s Lateagain Let Them All Talk. Another nice male of 15 months, well proportioned head, good eye and ear-set, nicely angulated all through but would have preferred him a little shorter in back, moved out well with good reach and drive.

YD 2(0)

1. Weston’s Lateagain Let Them All Talk. 2nd in Junior.

2. Woodhouse’s Jojavik Master Cutler. Lovely male of 21 months, another where I felt he would have benefitted from being moved outside, his construction suggested he could move out with freer extension, masculine head and expression, good eye and ear-set, strong jaw, good feet and bone, nicely angulated front and well muscled rear quarters, showed some good movement in profile, nicely presented.

PGD 1(0)

1. Pollard/Cox’ Zeloviak Invictus with Whizzbean. 4 year old male with masculine head and good eye, straight front with good feet and bone, would have liked a better top-line but proportions were good, felt he was a little loose in rear and would like to see more drive from the rear.

LD 3(0)

1. Grace/Lawson’s Nerak Wot A Dream. Nicely presented brown male with expressive head, good eye and ear-set, straight front with compact feet and good bone, nicely proportioned and well angulated in front and rear, good depth of chest, good rib and well muscled rear which he used well, very sound on the move, presented well, RBD.

2. Goodban’s Diego’s Denzel Washington with Keljaygo. Another nice male who was full of himself today, masculine head and expression, nicely angulated all through with straight front and good feet, would have preferred better proportions but he was fit and well muscled, unsettled on the move but showed some promising profile movement when he focused.

3. Wedgbury’s Manzart War Emblem.

Another nice bitch of nearly 11 months, feminine head and expression and nicely angulated all through, good depth of chest, preferred the body proportions of 1 but she moved out well in profile and looked well on the stand, in well muscled condition.
