North Of Scotland Sheepdog Club

Many thanks to the committee for their invite to judge Best In Show at their lovely club, I received a very warm welcome from everyone and it was a real privilege to judge this well attended, friendly show.

BEST IN SHOW

Walker/Ritchie’s Starlenga Nina Simone. (Collie (Rough)). A beautifully presented young blue merle bitch of just 9 months old, lovely head proportions, very feminine with nice eye, good ears, correct neck and front assembly, beautifully made throughout, lovely, well muscled rear with good bend of stifle and strong well let down hocks, she moved around the ring effortlessly with the utmost confidence, it was a pleasure to give this young lady Best In Show and I’m sure she has a very promising future ahead of her.

RESERVE BEST IN SHOW

Forbes’ Degallo Blonde Ambition. (Shetland Sheepdog). Another nice example of her breed at 2 years with very feminine head and endearing expression, nicely made all through with good angulation in front and rear, sound body proportions and lovely outline, she moved out well covering the ground effortlessly, shown in lovely coat of good texture and condition.

BEST PUPPY IN SHOW

Walker/Ritchie’s Starlenga Nina Simone.

RESERVE BEST PUPPY IN SHOW

Goodbrand’s Braesnobel Rum N’Raisin. (Bearded Collie). Nicely presented young bitch of 8 months, lovely head qualities with dark eye and balanced skull, good reach of neck and well placed shoulders, good bone and straight front, looked well in outline, moved out well with easy reach and drive, quality coat developing well.

BEST VETERAN IN SHOW

Donald’s Locheil Violets in Blue. (Border Collie). What a lovely ambassador for this breed, beautiful blue bitch of 13 years with the most feminine of expression and balanced skull, good reach of neck leading into a sound shoulder assembly, correct length to height ratio, easy, smooth movement, she covered the ground well and belied her advancing years, loved her attitude, presented in full coat.
