Special Kath Morgan Memorial Junior D/B (3,0abs)

1st Ritchie’s Sarabande Dancing Queen at Slapstones (AI) JW - 13m bitch presenting a pleasing balanced outline. Slightly domed feminine head with good proportions, eyes ok and correct bite. Muscular neck of good length leading onto well laid shoulders. Well sprung ribs, compact and slightly arched loin. Well angulated rear with good hocks. She really pulled it together on the move showing her positive, smooth action.

2nd) Lyon’s Mymmsbrook Mismo - 17m bitch. On first look I thought she would be my winner. Compact bitch with good length of leg, beautiful head, slightly domed & square muzzle with the best of eye shape and set. Clean neck leading onto well laid shoulders, good spring of rib and muscular, slightly arched loin. Tail well set. Well made rear. Nothing is overdone on this bitch. Today she just wasn’t as positive on the move as 1st, on another day with a bigger ring it might give her the chance to move out.

3rd) Evans’ Glenbrows Born to Be - 13m dog. This boy really gave his handler a hard time today, typical happy temperament you expect from this breed but it just made him want to love everyone around him (including the bitches!) and not concentrate on the job in hand. At this moment is is quite immature but definitely has time on his side. Head developing nicely, clean neck leading onto well laid shoulders. Developing nicely through body with a good topline but just needs time to drop. When he settled he moved well.

Special Kath Morgan Memorial P.Grad D/B (3,2abs)

1st) Moore’s Kidenoan Second Flite - 5 year old bitch who could easily to a days work in the field. Feminine head, well set eye of good size and correct bite. Well laid shoulders but a touch wide in front. Good feet. Well sprung rib, deep chest & muscular loin. Strong rear with moderate angulation, wide and well developed. Well muscled throughout. Docked tail which is well set. Moved well in profile and rear but moving a touch wide in front today.

Special Len Morgan Memorial Open D/B (5,2abs)

I was spoilt for choice with this class and I’m sure on a different day they could change places.

1st) Lancett’s Cwmbeili Madlen - 6 year old bitch. You need to get your hands on to truly appreciate this girls qualities. Feminine head which is slightly domed. Square muzzle of good length. Clean muscular neck leading onto an excellent front. Shoulders lightly sloping, forelegs straight and the best of feet. Well boned. Good length of body, well sprung rib and slightly arched muscular loin. Moderately angulated rear, deep second thigh and well muscled. Tail well set and carried well on the move. Good topline. Super sound on the move showing powerful movement, covering the ground.

2nd) Waller’s Isfryn Lady Godiva at Fireglow JW - 5 year old bitch and close up to 1st today. Presenting a compact, balanced outline. Very feminine head, medium eye which is well set. Correct bite. Clean muscular neck leading onto well laid shoulders. Well sprung rib and deep brisket. I preferred the substance of 1st. Straight front, good length of leg. Muscular loin, tail well set on and low. Strong, muscular rear with good angulation. Moved well, covering the ground with ease.

3rd) Cemis’ Taimere’s Talk About Me - 4 yr old dog who is all male. Unfortunate to meet 1st and 2nd today but gave them both a run for their money. Masculine head but not coarse. Slightly domed, correct bite. Square muzzle for good length. Dark medium eye which is well set. Clean, muscular neck leading onto slightly sloping shoulders. Well sprung rib and deep brisket. Strong loin. Well angulated rear. Presenting a pleasing outline. In profile he moved with purpose, covering the ground but slightly close behind today.

Special Breeders Stakes (1,0abs)

1st) Moore’s Team Kidenoan - a relatively young team lead by their dam. All of the same type who could do a days work in the field. Good heads, clean neck and presenting a pleasing compact outline. Moved well as a team.
