Dachshund (Long-Haired) Post-Grad (1)

1st & BPIB = Lewis’ Trixhund Strictly Silver

8 month old puppy. Who is coming along very nicely. Attractive head. Ears well set. Good length to her neck, set well into her shoulders. Good spring of rib and correct length to loin. Balanced angulation front and rear. Just needs to settle on the move.

Dachshund (Long-Haired) Open (1)

1st & BOB = Lewis’ Trixhund Hi De Hi JW

Very attractive shaded red bitch. Beautiful head with a lovely shape to her eye. Well, angulated front and rear with good ribbing, excellent loin and good keel. On the move, she really strode out well, with plenty of drive from her rear and extension in front.

Dachshund (Wire-Haired) Post-Grad (6)

1st = McCalmonts Silvae Timeless

Super head and expression on this quality bitch. Well ribbed back with good forechest. Good top line. Moved very sound and with excellent front reach.

2nd = McCalmonts Silvae Time After Time

Little sister to the above and shared many of her attributes. I just thought the winner was a shade more feminine.

3rd = Oakleys Lallybrook Hester

4th & BPIB = Bubbs Wyeknot Looks Like Trouble

Dachshund (Wire-Haired) Open (6)

1st & BOB & G1 = McCalmonts Silvae Timekeeper

My goodness what a lovely litter this is. This boy was my star of the day and just couldn’t be denied. He has just about everything in the right place and uses it all to his best advantage. He was a little unsure on the table, but once he got going, there was no stopping him! He moved out well in profile and was so sound coming and going. Presented in good condition. I could not overlook him and was delighted to give him the Hound Group. One I will definitely be watching in the future.

2nd = McCalmonts Silvae Sky Dancer

This girl was a shade longer than the boy who won the class. But she was still of good quality. Very feminine head and nicely made throughout. Good length to her neck which was well set into her shoulders. She moved well and was very sound. It was no disgrace to be second in this class.

3rd = Oakleys Lallybrook Hester

Dachshund (Smooth-Haired) Post-Grad (3 -2)

1st & BPIB = Starks Adnerbs Not On Your Nellie Gobannium

A nice shape on this attractive bitch who had a lovely head with the correct shaped eye. Good neck set into well laid shoulders. Arch over her loin. Prominent keel. Nice feet. She moved really well in profile.

Dachshund (Smooth-Haired) Open (1)

1st & BOB = Starks Adnerbs Won Vision of Gobannium JW

This girl had good angulation and was well balanced, front and rear. I liked the way her neck was set into her shoulders and she had a pretty, feminine head of correct shape. Correct length of loin and well ribbed back. On the move she had good extension in front and good drive from behind.

Dachshund (Mini Long-Haired) Post-Grad (4 – 1)

1st & BOB = Latham-Jacksons Hanishan Neapolitan Urishay

13 months old red dog, so not too long out of puppy. Very pleasing to go over. Good spring of rib. Correct angulation front and rear. He was a little uncomfortable on the table, but made good use of himself on the move. Sound as a pound and with good profile movement. Time will settle him. Was very pleased to give him BOB today.

2nd & BPIB = Billetts Dwtidachs Dancing Solo

6 months old male and still very baby! Loved his head, eye and expression. Very roly poly still but nicely made all through and he still has to learn to use his angulation properly. Sweet temperament.

3rd = Billetts Marina Abromavic of Dwtidachs

Dachshund (Mini Long-Haired) Open (5-2)

1st = Urishay Pennyroyal

A pretty feminine black and cream girl of a nice shape and size. Lovely top line and good keel. Well balanced front and rear angulation, which meant that she moved very soundly coming and going and with good extension on her profile movement. Well presented in lovely coat and pushed her kennel mate hard for BOB.

2nd = Dunhills Zarcrest Flash Gordon at Gellijam

I really liked this dapple male. He is so lovely to go over with everything in the right place and a lovely head and expression. But he is a ‘Ronseal’ dog. He does ‘Exactly As It Says On The Tin’. And no more. He is his own worst enemy. If he had used that lovely conformation on the move, we may well have had a different result today.

3rd = Billets Daring Dancer of Dwtidachs

Dachshund (Mini Wire-Haired) Post-Grad (4-1)

1st BOB & BPIB = Roses Ridanflight Renata

I just fell in love with this pretty baby who was one year old on the first day of the show. From the tip of her nose to the tip of her tail she oozed quality and soundness. Beautifully balanced front and rear angulation. Super mover from all angles. I could have taken her home with me. In spite of her youth she took 3rd in the adult hound group and went 2nd in the puppy hound group. I will be watching for her in the future.

2nd = Mills Tythe Fred Flintstone

This 11 month old was of a different type to the winner but well made all through. Attractive head with well placed ears. Good neck, let into well laid shoulders. Good front and rear angulation. Moved very soundly on the up and back and with good drive in profile. Should also do well in the future.

3rd = Mills Newton Delight at Oniasid

Dachshund (Mini Wire-Haired) Open (5-3)

1st = Rose & Blackburns Stargang Pot of Gold at Ridanflight

Masculine dog with a super head and a lovely shape on him. Good neck which flowed into his shoulders. A little longer on the leg than 2nd but very nice all through. Moved very soundly and with good drive from his rear.

2nd = Mills’ Middleton Hunt at Oniasid

This feminine girl also had a lovely neck and shoulder, well set into her body. Good spring of rib and correct underline. Good bone. Not quite so steady on the move as 1st but sound coming and going.

Dachshund (Mini Smooth-Haired) Special Yearling (6-1)

1st = Mantles Rhiewvalley Blackberry

This class was a little disappointing overall. But this feminine black and tan girl definitely deserved her place at the front of the line. She was one of the soundest movers in the class and that could not be overlooked. Balance front and rear angulation. Well ribbed back. Good topline.

2nd = Beachs Beachdax Queen of Hearts

I liked the shape of this black and tan girl. Particularly her neck through to her shoulders. Her top line was excellent. She had good profile movement and excellent reach in front, but I just preferred the rear movement of the winner.

3rd = Daltons Llansanior’s Mr Cinnaman

Dachshund (Mini Smooth-Haired) Post-Grad (9-4)

1st & BPIB = Lewis’ Trixhund Miss Honey

This red, 8 months old baby was of a lovely quality. Correct length of rib and loin, with good angulation front and rear. Excellent top line. Moved soundly coming and going and with good profile movement. Plenty of reach and drive Really liked this baby.

2nd = Scotts Wolferlow Peggie Sue Myojo

This girl was more mature than the winner. Equally sound on the move. And with good drive from behind. Good bone and feet, probably a shade better in her keel. There was very little between these two. They could change places on another day.

3rd = Johns Laurabelle Peggy Sue

Dachshund (Mini Smooth-Haired) Open (7-2)

1st & BOB = Dunhills Cwmdarhian Annie Oakley at Gellijam

What a lovely shape this feminine black and tan girl has. Balanced confirmation, front and rear with a good keel. Her neck just flows right into her well placed shoulders. She moved soundly on the up and back and very well in profile. With drive from behind and good extension in front. A worthy BOB.

2nd = De Laceys Gellijam’s Midnight Lady of Mabeldax

This girl was of an equal quality to the winner, and I probably liked this girls head more. Nit picking between the two, I think that the winner just had the overall edge on outline, but there was very little in it. A close second.

3rd = Beachs Riowood Arizona

Beagle Puppy (4-1)

1st & BPIB = Murphys Davricard Picasso at Rhosyndu

Nicely compact young male with an attractive well shaped head and a good neck set into well laid shoulders. Excellent topline. Good rear quarters. Short strong loin. Excellent brisket.Well set on tail. Good feet. Moved well.

2nd = Evans & Barnes Bellvalley Calypso

3rd = Tanners Felinoak El Koko Loko

Beagle Special Yearling (0)

Beagle Post-Grad (3-1)

This almost 5 year old girl had the most effortless movement and looked like she could move all day long. So sound coming and going with a well balanced head and the best of neck and shoulders. Short hocks.

2nd = Bell-Thomas & Thomas’ Amorpapaver Juno

This girl was similarly built to 1st but slightly longer and a little straighter through the pastern. Good depth ad spring of rib. Short loin. Good rear quarters. Moved well and soundly.

 A beautifully made girl all through. She has a super feminine head with a lovely expression. Nice well angled shoulder and upper arm. Correct short pasterns. Good bone. She move beautifully both coming and going and in profile and looked like she could work all day. A worthy BOB and Group 4.

2nd = Anthonys Ospreagle Bone Idol

This dog was a little shorter all around but reasonably well angulated. Didn’t move with the same drive as 1st . Was 2nd in this class as his pasterns were more correct than 3rd.

3rd = Bell-Thomas & Thomas’ Amorpapaver Jupiter

PBGV Post Grad (5-3)

1st & BOB = Lewis’ Tangaer Heather

Attractive girl.Good underjaw. A little upon her legs. Good bone and pasterns. Good rear quarters. Nice coat. Moved with drive.

2nd = Whitings Erylan Bohemian Rhapsody at Glanbeuno

Pretty feminine head. Good spring of rib. Correct loin. Just a puppy so still developing. Preferred the forechest of the winner. Moved ok, still rather loose.

Masculine dog. Short coupled. Good pasterns. Strong tail. Good upper arm. Moved soundly.

2nd & BPIB = Whitings Tangaer Enigma at Glanbeuno

Pretty girl. Good neck and shoulders. Correct length. Didn’t make the best of herself on the move.

Saluki Post Grad (1)

This black and cream girl was being a typical aloof Saluki. But she had the most beautiful outline and couldn't be denied. Lovely head. Long neck let into well laid shoulders. Good top line. 3rd = Rabey-Wilkinsons Waqiiq V T Swartshof For Greatplains (Imp NDL)

Rhodesian Ridgeback Post Grad (5 -1)

1st = Picton & Inces Priorpark Point And Click (Gave him his last JW point)

This handsome, well balanced male has a great deal to like about him. He has a lovely outline. Good front and pasterns, excellent feet. Classic strong rear quarters. Moved as I knew he would. The owner told me later that this win gave him his Junior Warrant. Congratulations.

2nd = Raymonds Sofala Stellar

Feminine bitch who doesn’t always help herself. Sometimes she looked too long but then she would pull herself together and ‘bring back’ her balance. Lovely neck let into well laid shoulders. Good spring of rib. Moved well

3rd = Littles Nuthouse Abracadabra

Rhodesian Ridgeback Open (3)

He has strength and dignity combined with soundness. I’m sure he is destined for greater things as he matures and fills out. Went through to Puppy Group 4

2nd = Pinks Greyhawks Romano Rakler

This male was a little taller than the winner and had a super topline. He was shorter coupled and with good depth of chest. I really loved his head. Preferred the rear quarters of the 1st. No disgrace to be 2nd to her.
