My thanks to the committee for inviting me to judge their Limited Show at Wellfield House bkpo Mr & Mrs Neachell. It was a real grass roots event with everyone seemingly enjoying themselves. As a judge it was lovely to have the opportunity to judge some, sure to be, future stars and also have the time to help those starting on their journeys so a big thank you to all of the exhibitors for entering their dogs. Thanks also to my steward Karl Gawthorpe for trying to keep me on the straight and narrow.

1st, BPAVNSC & BPIS Callow & Davis Norwegian Elkhound Whittimere Alright Bab

Sometimes you get the pleasure of judging a dog that has star written all over it and this is one of those times. Stood she just looked gorgeous presenting such a balanced outline, good head with dark oval eye, small ears set on high, medium length of neck into shoulder, short strong back, correct angulation front and rear, small feet, tail set on high, on the move she was foot perfect and effortless. I will watch her career with interest and was delighted she got BPIS today.

1st Ryan’s Whippet Sylleka Sashay Away

Liked this whippet for her overall shape & graceful lines, pretty head & expression, long neck into shoulders, pasterns with slight spring, definite tuck up, good depth of chest, naturally stood over ground, sound on the move with good footfall.

2nd Mason’s Dachs(WH) Bramalodge Bet on the Blues

Super head & expression on this young man, good neck & shoulders, would have preferred slightly firmer topline, well developed quarters, moved well

1st Vaughan- Walls ’s Whippet Shirotae Paws for a Song

Pleasing head & expression on this young lady, long neck into straight front with good fill. Good top and underline, strong well made rear. Presented a pleasing outline on the stack and moved steadily and soundly.

Pleasing head & expression on this 3 yr old female. She had super fore chest, good depth and strong thigh, strong firm topline, strong short hocks. Balanced and compact with super movement

2nd Vaughan-Walls Whippet Shirotae Solo Surprise

5yr old female with pleasing head & expression, wasn’t quite as clean over the shoulders as I would have liked, good topline, in good condition, moved steadily

1st Brent & Davis Black & Tan Coonhound Coonsar Sunshine Skyway

Nice quality of bitch, liked her size and proportions, feminine head, good parallel planes, dark nose, wide nostrils, low set ears of good length, sloping neck of medium length, strong level top-line, well laid shoulders, deep chest with well sprung ribs, well muscled rear quarters, lovely coat colour and markings, compact feet with well arched toes, she was a bit erractic on the move today but when settled covered the ground well with good reach and drive with good head and tail carriage

1st & BPAVNSC Merritt’s GSP Sperant Chocolate Cosmos

What a super puppy she is, loved her quality & overall outline, beautiful head and eye, good muzzle, clean over the neck and shoulder flowing into strong topline with a good rib and short strong loin. Presented in super condition and such balance both standing and on the move.

2nd Thorpes Labrador Taph Electra

Another lovely quality puppy, she had such a super outline when stood, pretty head with kind expression, good reach of neck, well angulated front, strong firm topline, well developed quarters, correct double coat, moved well with good reach & drive.

1st Askey’s Brittany Bonapartist Sargent Pepper

Really liked this youngster he has a nice square shape to him but perhaps needs to deepen a bit through body. Liked his head with good dark eye giving a pleasing alert expression, nice muzzle of correct proportions, moderately long neck, good topline. Pleasing width of chest and spring of rib. Has a moderate bend of stifle, nice tailset. Typical movement for the breed in profile, could be a little bit tidier when he comes towards you but didn’t detract from his overall qualities.

2nd Hodgkiss Labrador Dinnozo Pink Diamond

Strongly made bitch and perhaps a fraction heavier than I would prefer but did not detract from her overall quality, she has a pleasing head & expression, good eye colour, strong neck into well places shoulders, correct front angulation, strong topline, short loin, well developed quarters, she had a correct coat of good texture. On the move she really showed herself off with good reach & drive.

1st & BAVNSC Swaine’s Golden Retreiever Ohanagold Apollo

What a lovely find this mid gold dog was. His head is gentle yet masculine head without coarseness and he such a melting expression, correct ear set and stop with dark pigment. He has a good reach of neck and layback of shoulder, correct front angulation with elbows held tight to his chest. Super topline and tailset on the stance and held perfectly on the move. He was in super coat & condition, on the move he was a delight, just a sound, level & steady mover.

2nd Tooth’s Labrador Ludalor Loquacious

Slightly stronger stamp to this female but still retains feminity she has a broad head, dark eyes of correct shape with a kind & intelligent expression, strong neck, shoulders well laid with a strong firm topline which is kept both standing & on the move. Strong well developed muscled quarters which she used to advantage. In super coat and condition. A good honest Labrador all through and moves really well showing good reach and drive.

Solid liver boy who was so balanced both standing & on the move, he had pleasing head & expression, good reach of neck with well laid shoulders, good firm topline and moved really well showing good reach and drive

2nd Wall’s Pointer Meadowpoint Spirit of Fire

Such a lovely head & expression on this boy and was impressive on the stack, good reach of neck, well placed shoulders, strong firm topline, well developed quarters, having got something in his paw he wasn’t quite sound at first but after dislodging whatever was causing him discomfort he settled and moved out well really well to secure his place.

1st Westaway & Edmondson’s Portuguese Pointer Perdizcyo Byron

Pleasing head & expression on this dog, he was impression when stacked, good reach of neck, well placed shoulders, good through body with string topline, such super muscletone all over and moved really well

A lovely quality puppy with pleasing head with alert expression, good reach of neck, super topline, well made throughout and presented a balanced picture when standing and on the move. On the move she just floated and effortlessly covered the ground.

2nd Wolfe’s Just a Dream Snowflake Engel via Dreamwolves (Imp Slo)

Litter sister to winner and just a little heavier all through, slightly stronger in head, well made, good topline, well developed quarters and moved very well.

1st Wolfe’s S/Husky Happyheart Bear Shine Like Excilibar for Dreamwolves

14 month old young man with a lovely head & alert expression, good reach of neck, well placed shoulders, firm topline and well developed quarters. He was a bit erratic on the move but was ok when he settled down for a few strides.

1st Minshull’s Rottweiler Dortmund Double or Quits

Just preferred the overall maturity of this boy, nicely moulded head, with kind expression, he was strong and powerful all through, well muscled with good reach of neck, strong firm topline, well developed quarters. Powerful on the move and covered the ground well

2nd Peffers & Taylor Rottweiler Minaela Scorpion Queen

Pretty girl with nice head & expression, not quite as mature through the body as the winner so she looked a bit off balance today, strong topline, well muscled quarters and moved well

Such power and balance in profile, lovely head & expression, good reach of neck, well constructed throughout, strong topline, well developed quarters with excellent muscletone. In super coat. Really sense of strength and power as he moved round the ring.

1st & BVIS Tooth’s Labrador Ludalor Elderberry JW

Such a super 12 year old bitch, she had a lovely feminine head & expression, super neck and front assembly, despite her age she still had a strong topline, good barrel ribs, well developed quarters, in super coat and just looked the complete picture today. Moved really well and was delighted she also went BVIS.

Another who was in super condition for his age, lovely head & expression, good neck & shoulders, strong firm topline with well muscled quarters, another who moved really well
