Flat Coated Retrievers

Puppy (4,3)

1. Buckley’s Blacktoft Brindisi By Buckleyhill. Very promising 8 month old puppy, looking forward to seeing how he matures. Lovely moulded head with a dark eye and a kind expression. Of moderate size with good bone and very balanced with moderate angulation throughout and well placed shoulders, which was reflected in his movement. Gradual spring of rib with a short loin and correct tail set and carriage. Pleased to hear he was shortlisted in the puppy group. Best Puppy. Reserve Best of Breed.

Junior (4,2)

1. Smitherman’s Seaheart Diva. At just 12 months, this young bitch is another one to watch in the future. Presented in excellent coat and condition, muscled throughout with straight true movement and a lovely outline both in standing and on the move. Feminine, moulded head with a dark eye and correct dentition. Correct spring of rib and short coupled, moderate bend of stifle and correct tail set and carriage. She is just right for her age in terms of maturity and overall balance. Best of Breed.

2. Mullins’ Seaheart Daegan At Dexanluc. Litter brother to the winner, also presented in a great coat and well conditioned. Good reach of neck into a well laid shoulder with a level topline and balanced front and rear angulation. Moulded head with correct dentition. Good bone and round strong feet. Unfortunately he was a bit unsettled on the move today.

Post Graduate (4,2)

1. Smitherman’s Seaheart Diva.

2. Newstead’s Revetti Hakkinen. 2 year old bitch of moderate size. Another lovely outline with good reach of neck running well into a level topline, tail set and carriage correct whilst standing. Feminine head, moulded with correct ear set and scissor bite though would prefer a darker eye. Moved true coming and going.

Open (2,1)

1. Buckley’s Steelriver Hit The Beach With Buckleyhill. Sire of the puppy winner, he clearly passed on his well moulded head. Also of moderate size yet still masculine with good bone, excellent feet and hocks well let down. In good coat with correct density and texture. Correct depth of chest and well ribbed up, short coupled with a correct croup and tail set. Moved well in profile.
