Report for Toy Poodles, WELKS, Saturday 23 April – Yvonne Rawley MBE

I was thrilled to be asked by WELKS to judge Toy Poodles at their show and would like to thank the committee for the opportunity and hospitality.

Best of Breed and Dog CC:

Aedan Fighting Talk NAF (Mrs B & Miss S Godfrey) – a beautiful young dog who I was delighted to award BOB to. A junior male who has a thick, crisp, black coat and plenty of it and well presented, he has a small, dark, correctly placed eye and pretty expression and good mouth. He is short, with a great spring of rib, compact has a good tail-set and whilst reaching and driving round the ring he kept his super outline on the move. I was delighted to hear he was short listed in the group, and I know it will not be long before he is a Champion.

Bitch CC:

Tuttlebees Devils Design (Mrs A & Mrs S Corish & Oldfield) – what a delightful, feminine, pretty black bitch this was, and I absolutely fell in love with her. Her head is exquisite with no back skull and a small, dark, expressive eye that really caught my attention. She is compact and well made with an elegant neck and correctly placed shoulders and amazing tail set. On the move she held her shape and gave a wonderful outline which gave me no choice than to award her what I believe is her second CC – I feel sure her third is not far away.

Best Puppy and reserve Dog CC:

Silvora Tik Tok (Mrs D & Mrs A Grant & Murphy) – I have watched this puppy’s career develop over a very short time, admiring him from the ringside and I was not disappointed when I went over him. He is a compact dog with a lovely head and expression, good mouth, and a small eye. He is short and neat and has a wealth of black coat and moves beautifully, both in front and behind. I predict a really bright future for this promising puppy.

Reserve Bitch CC:

Ch Karamouche Educating Rita (Mrs K Laws) – a stunning bitch that I have admired since she was a puppy and am not surprised she became a Champion at such a young age. She has an amazing, thick, crisp black coat that was beautifully presented as always and with a wealth of topknot. She has a pretty head, good body and great spring of rib and moves well, really covering the ground, on the final look as she moved round the ring, I just preferred the outline of the limit winner.
