A most enjoyable day, with very sporting exhibitors whom I would like to thank, it made it a pleasure to judge, I thoroughly enjoyed my day. Although not a huge entry numerically (understandable re the cost of fuel!) the quality was superb. This was confirmed by my three main winners ALL gaining awards in their respective groups…. the Working group (3rd), puppy working group (3rd), and veteran working group (2nd), under three different judges. This was the icing on the cake, I was delighted.

MPD. 3. 1/. Brough’s Limubox Helluva Fantasy. 6 month old golden brindle/white who showed like a pro and never put a foot wrong, at his very first show. Impressive when posed and equally so when he moved. Well off for bone, absolutely square, super reach of neck and a good firm topline with bang on tailset. Hammy quarters of a good width and the correct amount of angulation. Prominent forechest, super tidy catlike feet. His head fits the breed standard in total, with an excellent rise of skull, well padded muzzle, large nostrils and expressive dark eyes of the correct shape giving a super expression. Good wide mouth, and how lovely to see a prominent chin with absolute lip to lip placement. At one with his excellent handler. A very exciting puppy whose progress I will watch with more than a little interest. He’s special! Delighted that he was awarded 3rd in Puppy Working Group. 2/. Loasby’s Double Oh Seven with Berwynfa. Dark brindle/white 8 months old, another promising puppy, slightly longer in body than one. Good reach of neck leading to well laid shoulders and level topline which he kept on the move …striding out positively with purpose. Correct angulations, front and rear and low hocks. Head of good proportions with required rise of skull, well padded cheeks with good sized nostrils and dark almond shaped eyes, giving a kind and enquiring expression. Very well handled. 3. Fay-Smith’s Lorrosa Roy Petty Boy Shaw.
