Its always such a pleasure to come North of the border, the warm welcome we all accept as a given was again here in abundance and I would like to extend my thanks to Sheena and her team for their kind invitation and for looking after me so well. Tricia and Helen were my two stewards and very efficient they were too – thank you again ladies. Of course our shows dont quite have the magnitude of previous years but our hobby remains alive and kicking, and it was a pleasure as always to judge the dogs today, so my thanks also to the exhibitors for allowing my that privilege.

Minor Puppy Dog ( 3 / 5 ) – 3 very pleasing puppies all at varying stages of growth

1 Rogersons FINLERIC LUGO

Big, strong and substantial. This puppy has very good overall proportions and an harmonious build. The head is well shaped, the ears well placed and his expression attentive and lively. He has high withers, a firm straight back and a slightly short, but moulded croup. He has well laid back shoulders and just a slight shortness in the upper arm. He has normal chest development and a straight front. Clean underline. He has balanced hind angles and straight hocks. Moves soundly and easily with good strides, retaining clean lines and good deportment at all phases. Very well handled.

2 Farleys NIKONIS PEREZ

A most strikingly pigmented sable youngster. He is of over medium size with strong bones. The head is typical, well shaped and masculine without coarseness. The eyes could be a tad darker but it doesn’t affect his expression which is noble and typical. He has stretched proportions, a good wither, straight back and a good length and angle of the croup. The forehand is well angled, his front is straight and the underline clean. Balanced hind angles with broad thighs and good hocks. He is certainly a very pleasing picture in stance. He moves soundly and trots easily in phases with a good length of stride. He needs natural development to become firmer in build and to show more harmony in motion. A very promising male.

3 Ventermans NEUFESTUNGS LEO

Over medium size, medium strong and with very good body proportions. His head is masculine and expressive. The eyes could be darker. He has good withers, firm back, short steep croup. He is slightly short in the upper arm but still has a good forehand. Straight front. Clean over and underlines. Balanced hind angles. Slightly long in the hocks but they are straight enough. Moves soundly with good reach and drive, showing plenty of animation too. Not quite the substance of the other males at the moment but they are all at different phases of development and he is another very promising puppy.

1 Lakins BLERIO BEZIQUE AT MASCANI

A male of over medium size and strength with a firm build. A very well pigmented young male. His head is well shaped, with correct ears and a pronounced dark mask adding to the look. Very good expression which was typical, calm and confident. He has good withers, a firm back and a slightly short croup. The upper arm is slightly short, the shoulders are well laid back and his front is correct. He has normal ribbing and a firm loin. Well angled hind quarters. Slightly in at the elbows, sound away. He gaits with medium reach and plenty of hind drive, showing enthusiasm and retaining clean lines at all times.

2 McCarvel JANEFIELD CHISUM

Young male of over medium size and with medium strength. He has a good head and expression, dark eyes and correct ears. He has normal withers, a firm back and a short croup. The upper arm is slightly short. Stands correct in front. Balanced hind angles. Moves straight both ways. His front reach could be freer, good hind drive.

1 Semens SOLDATIN CARLOS

Big, substantial puppy with good overall proportions. He has a masculine head and a very good expression. The withers are normal, his back is firm and the croup is short. He has a good forehand where the upper arm could be a little longer. The pasterns are to firm. Clean underline. Very good hind quarters. He moves straight away and back and with medium strides whilst trotting.

1 Davies RENO DE LA PETITE LAETICIA

This is a male of correct medium size, firmly built and with a robust, solid frame. He certainly has a very masculine general appearance but is not at all coarse. He has a typical head and the expression is lively, confident and relaxed. The withers are well filled in to a firm, straight back and a slightly short croup. He has a correctly angled forehand and well developed chest and brisket proportions. The pasterns should be firmer. He has clean over and underlines. Balanced and well angled hind quarters. There is just a slight ringing to the tail. He has excellent solidity and muscle tone, but I might suggest he is not presented any heavier in the middle piece. Firm hocks and elbows. He shows a reaching gait with very good hind drive. A male of excellent type, who was very well handled in both the class and the challenge, in which he was a contender.

 2 Dawkins BYGOLY WILLIS

A big and very powerful male. He is very well proportioned and has a firm build. The head is slightly too strong, and his lips could be firmer, he is very expressive. He has good withers, a firm back and a slightly short croup. Well angled forehand with good fore and under chest development. The pasterns could be firmer. Clean over and underlines. Balanced well angled hind quarters. The elbows need to firm. Straight hocks. Slight twist in the tail. Shows a dynamic and energetic gait with good strides.

1 Cartwrights PENDLEDENE RENO AT REDWOODLANDS

A strongly pigmented male of upper medium size, strongly boned and with good substance. He has very good body proportions. His head is ideally shaped with a good muzzle and a defined dark mask. He has good withers, a straight back and a short croup. Well angled forehand with correct chest proportions and a straight front. Clean underline. Well angled hindquarters with broad thighs. Moves soundly in front and behind. He needs to become that bit firmer over the croup and loin in motion. Trots with good strides and enthusiasm. A male with a very typical general appearance who was presented in first rate condition.

2 Grierson FINLERIC ACHILLES

Grey male of full size. He is strong, substantial and well proportioned with clean lines. The head is masculine, free from excess and he shows a good expression. The withers are normal, his back is straight and the croup steep. He has very good angulation of the forehand and normal fore and under chest development. The pasterns should be firmer as should the elbows. Good hind angles. Straight behind. Good gait where the reach could be freer, the body shape is not quite as harmonious in motion. Needs to be more relaxed and self assured.

1 Macateer HUNDARK DRAX

A big, strong, firm and dry male. He has very good proportions and clean lines. The head is masculine with a good expression. He has good withers, firm back, a well moulded slightly steep croup. Well laid back shoulders, slightly steep upper arm. Normal fore and underchest. The pasterns could be firmer. Correct underline. Hocks need to be firmer. Moves with long strides and energy retaining his lines at all paces.

1 RES CC Williams & Starkey WAKEMATTS MORTY AT STARKWILL

This is a handsome male of absolutely correct medium size. He is a very well pigmented black and tan with a pleasing and typical general appearance. He has a well shaped skull and an attentive, calm expression. He has good withers, a firm back and a slightly steep croup. He shows very good angulation in the fore and hindquarters. His pasterns should be firmer. The fore and under chest is well developed and the loin broad and firm. Ideally he could do with a fraction more timber to the limbs. The elbows and hocks are straight. He moves easily with good strides, deportment and presentation. This confident male was presented with skill and consideration by his handler. Presented to the last hair and in perfect physical condition.

2 Bryce GAYVILLES PICASSO

A male of over medium size and of medium strength who has good proportions and a firm build. The head is well shaped, masculine and expressive. His withers are good, the back firm and the croup slightly steep. He has a balanced forehand, normal chest development and a straight front. The nails should have more pigmentation. Good hind angles. Moves straight with medium easy strides.

3 Blair STARKHERZ VALCO AT CEANNARD

Full size, strong, substantial male. Stretched proportions. He has a masculine, well shaped head and a very good expression. He has good withers and a straight back. The croup is short. He has balanced angulations of the fore and hind quarters The front is quite straight and he has a good underline. Moves straight coming and going. He moves easily but the front reach could be a tad more extensive. Good hind drive.

1 & CC Halls GAYVILLES VOPUS

A well pigmented black and tan male of full size. He is strong, substantial and very well proportioned. The build is firm and solid. He has a particularly good head with absolute masculinity and strength but free of excess, and shows a really outstanding expression and outlook. He was presented naturally by his handler and this showed his excellent body shape to the maximum effect, this male needs no manipulation. The over line is text book, from a high, well filled in wither, broad firm and straight back to an optimum length and angle of the croup. He is very well angulated in the forehand and stands straight in front. The fore and under chest are well developed and the high quarters broad, well angled and with straight hocks. His clean lines are retained on the move which is reaching and easy with very good hind drive. The circumstances of the show certainly suited him today and he was a very worthy CC winner.

1 Marshall & Ingham PALUKA VALCO

A male with a striking general appearance, obvious masculinity and very good overall proportions. He is quite large, but still very well proportioned, firm and dry. He has a very well shaped head with an outstanding expression and a pronounced dark mask. He has defined withers, a straight back and a well moulded croup. Good fore and very good hind angles. Fore chest could be a tad more developed, the pasterns need to be firmer. Clean underline, the hocks are a little long but firm. Good in elbows. He retains a very pleasing outline in movement which is dynamic with defined hind drive. This male was shown in peak condition and has a lot of ring presence.

2 Ail Syed TEAM ZILBER WASSERFALL ZODIAK

A black male of medium size and strength with good overall proportions. He has a good head and expression. The withers are good, the back is firm and the croup slightly short. Medium angulation in the forehand. Standard chest development, Pasterns to be firmer. Balanced hind angles, slight twist in the tail. Moves soundly with easy, medium strides.

3 Harper NOVAC OF ALISBROOK

Medium size and strength male with stretched proportions. He has a very good head and expression. Normal withers, straight back and short croup. Balanced angulations in front and behind. Correct front. Straight hocks and elbows. Outline could be a more harmonious in motion in which he shows an enthusiastic and driving side action.

1 Ventermans NEUFESTUNGS GEMINI

A typy female of medium size and strength. She is well proportioned with a firm build. The well shaped head is very attractive and shows expression at all times. She has good withers, a firm back and a slightly steep croup. Very good angulation of the fore and hind quarters. Straight front. This female has a good harmony of structure and clean lines which she retains at all times, she moves soundly and easily with good strides, deportment and firmness Very well presented.

2 McKenzie BEEBERHOOS LOREEZA

Big, medium strong and well proportioned female who is of a dry and firm build. She has a strong, but feminine and typical head with a very good expression. The withers are good, the back firm and the croup is slightly steep. Balanced angulations in front and behind. She has normal forecast and ribbing, the hocks are a little long. She is still to firm in pasterns, elbows and hocks. Clean lines. She has easy outreaching side movements.

3 Hendersons FINLERIC LUCILLA

Medium size and strength, athletic and with a firm build. Initially a little anxious but relaxed after time. She has a very good head and outlook, good withers, firm back and well angled croup. Clean over and underlines. She has balanced angles in front and behind. Quite straight in front, her chest is to develop. Ribs are a shade flat. Straight steps with easy side movement showing good hind drive.

1 Harvey & Dodds KLEEHUEGEL FLORENCE

Big, strong female who is slightly stretched but still with very good proportions. Firm and dry. She has a well shaped head with a very good expression. The withers are defined, the back firm and the croup well angled. Very good forehand and straight front lines, normal ribbing and firm loin. Strong well angled hind quarters. Clean over and underlines. Presently not in her best coat condition. She is firm in hocks and elbows, and moves with good strides and attitude.

2 Filipiak CHILLI KOLEBKA WADERY

Black long coated female of over medium size and strength, who could be a little bit more self assured. She has a firm build and good proportions. She has a well shaped head, attentive expression and dark eyes. Her withers are good, the back is straight and the croup short. Good forehand with straight front lines. Very good underline and strong well balanced hind quarters. Moves soundly, with medium strides in an easy trot. Very good type of female.

Big. Strong female with very good proportions and substance. Firm and fry build. Very good pigmentation. Strong head with good expression. She has normal withers, firm back and a short croup. Good forehand. Straight front lines. Normal chest proportions, balanced hind quarters. A very good type who moves with good strides and powerful hind drive.

2 Fillipak DARKVALLEY BJORK

Medium size and strength. Good proportions. A female with very good pigmentation and a very good head and expression. She has good withers, straight back and a short croup. Good angulation of the fore and hind quarters. Straight front. Sound in hocks and elbows. Easy gait where the reach could be freer. Very good attitude

Junior Bitch ( 5 / 8 )

1 Gouck VOMZOARHOFF MURRON

Medium size and strength. A female with good proportions and a firm build. She has a very good head and expression. She has normal withers, a firm back, steep croup. Well laid back shoulders and a short upper arm. Stands straight in front with normal chest development. Balanced hind angles. Moves straight in front and behind. Displays an easy gait with medium strides.

2 McGrath & Boyd MASCANI DENVA

Big, substantial and powerful female with good proportions and a solid frame. Her head is strong, but well shaped with a very good expression She has normal withers, a broad straight back and a short, but moulded croup. The upper arm is short. She has a correct front and good ribbing, a firm loin and well muscled, balanced hind quarters. Moves soundly with medium strides and very good firmness.

3 Pegg DAHLMANN ULLA

Very well pigmented female. She is big and strong with stretched proportions. She has a very good head and most attractive expression. The withers are good, the back straight and her croup a little short. Very well angled in the fore and hind quarters and straight in front. Firm in elbows, moves close away. Her back should be firmer. Easy side movement with medium strides.

1 Johnstone HUNDARK HOLLY PAWS

Big, strong and substantial. Well proportioned female with clean lines and good solidity but doesn’t need to be any heavier. Her head is strong, still feminine and well shaped with plenty of expression. She has good withers, a straight back and a good length and angle to the croup. Very good forequarters with straight front lines. Well developed fore and under chest and a firm loin. Balanced hind angles. A very pleasing picture stood, she could perhaps be a tad more athletic in motion but moves soundly with easy strides and good firmness.

2 De Zutter LANGFAULDS CHIC

Big, substantial. Well proportioned. Firm and dry. A female with a very good head and expression. She has good withers and back, the croup is slightly steep. Good fore and very good hind angles. Normal fore chest development, her pasterns need to be firmer. Just a slight tuck up in the loin. Shows good firmness in the hocks and elbows. Good side movements.

She has normal withers, good back and a slightly short but moulded croup. She has a short upper arm and a straight front. Very good hind angles. Firm enough in hocks and elbows. Runs slightly downhill and the front reach could be freer, good hind drive.

A female of correct medium size and strength who is very well proportioned, firm and dry. She has a quite beautiful expression and a very well shaped head, correct ear placement and dark eyes. She has high withers , a firm back and a short slightly croup. The forehand is well angled and she has straight front lines and normal chest development. Maximum hind angles. Firm in elbows, the hocks could be tighter. Clean lines and a very pleasing outline. She moves with long strides, purpose and firmness retaining good harmony at all phases.

2 Brownlee NEERLAWS PHOXX

A big, strong and substantial female who is very well proportioned with a firm and solid build. She has a very good head and expression, very good withers and back and a well moulded croup. The forehand is well angled and she stands straight in front. Correct fore and under chest. Very good hind angles. Moves soundly away and back. She has almost too much energy in motion and occasionally loses some harmony in the outline and ease of stride as a consequence, that said this is an excellent female who moves with very good reach and powerful hind thrust.

3 Hall HAZELGROVE QWILLA

Medium sized female who could have slightly stronger bones. She is well proportioned and firmly knit. Her head, expression and outlook is very pleasing. She has good withers and a straight back, the croup is slightly short. Well laid shoulders, slightly short upper arm. The pasterns should be firmer. Normal ribbing and underline. Very good hind angles. The elbows should be tighter, firm hocks. Her gait is dynamic but could be more reaching.

Moves straight in front and behind, she shows easy reach but the hind drive could be a bit more pronounced.

The chest is very well developed and she has a broad beam. The elbows should be firmer, straight hocks. The hind drive should be more positive but she shows good reach

Open Bitch ( 7 / 10 )

1 Shipley GAYVILLES VARINKA WITH TRIMIKA

The winner of the open class is full sized, strongly boned and substantial, well toned and firmly knit all through. The head is well shaped and whilst strong is absolutely feminine and she shows a confident, relaxed expression at all times. The withers are high, the back broad and strong and the croup long and well angled – a particularly good over line. The upper arm is steep and could be better angled, the shoulders well laid back and she stands with correct front lines. The fore and under chest is well developed. Correct ribbing and underline, firm loin. Well angled hind quarters with broad thighs. The elbows and hocks are firm. She trots with a raking gait, showing very good reach and defined follow through, retaining firmness and composure at all times. Today she was shown in full bloom, teeming with vitality and in excellent coat condition. This female impressed with her confident and stylish deportment, clean lines and one piece, harmonious construction. She was presented naturally and unhindered by her skilled handler to a very worthy CC and BOB today.

2 Peggs DAHLMANN HELENA

Big, strong and substantial. Well proportioned, firm and solid. This female has a particularly good head, expression and outlook. She has good withers, a strong firm back and a moulded, if slightly short croup. The forehand is well angled, her brisket is well developed and the front is straight. She has good muscle tone and clean over and under lines. She has correct angulation of the hind quarters and strong hocks. The picture stood is very pleasing and as with the winner, she was presented skillfully with no fuss or over handling to emphasise her natural body shape. The elbows and hocks are straight and sound. She could show a tad more extension to the front reach but she moves with ease, strong hind drive and purpose, retaining her lines, composure and balance. A female of quality and a worthy RES CC

3 De Zutter LANGFAULDS ADELE

Very good middle size and strength, firmly built and with good bones. She has a good head, slightly lighter eyes and an attentive lively expression. The withers are normal, the back firm and the croup slightly short. Very good forehand with straight front lines. The loin is a little tucked up. Very well muscled and balanced hind angles. Firm in hocks and elbows. This female certainly moves with dynamism and energy, but not quite enough composure today, resulting in a short stepping busy front action and losing harmony in outline. An attractive female who was presented in excellent condition.

1 Turner IMPRANHAH FLAVIA

Big, strong, substantial. Well proportioned firm and dry female, with a very beautiful head, expression and general appearance. She has normal withers, firm back, slightly short croup. Well angled forehand with very good chest development. Pasterns are not quite firm. Very good hind angles and moves soundly in front and behind. She moves with co-ordination, long strides and dynamism at all phases, showing so much joy in her task. Her outstanding condition, presentation and movement all belie a female of 8 years old, a credit to herself and all involved with her.

2 Robinson HAZELGROVE QUINTA

Over medium size and strength. Well proportioned, firm female. She has a very good head and expression. She has good withers, straight back and a short croup. Very good forehand. Pasterns should be firmer. There is a slight tucking up of the loin. Well angled hind quarters. Moves soundly fore and aft. The front reach could be freer but she has good side movements.
