HOUND GROUP WINDSOR CHAMPIONSHIP SHOW. .

A great honour to be invited to judge the Hound Group at this prestigious show. I had the full compliment of Hounds with the exception of the Standard Smooth. I shortlisted the PBGV Robertson’s Soletrader Super Mario, lovely youngster who excels in type and movement. the Beagle Raymond’s Davricard Milton of Dialynne. A sturdy young dog of super type. He has a good head and expression. . The Miniature Long Haired Dachshund, Wood’s Wildstar Wrivera. She has the loveliest of heads and is well made throughout with the strength of topline and movement to expect from this kennel. The Wirehaired Dachshund Rowe’s Boloria Nice’N’Spicy JW a bitch I awarded reserve BPIS to last year who has matured so well. She is of excellent type and size and moves true. I was delighted she gained her title today. My final pick after sending them round the ring one last time was Group 1 the Pharaoh Hound Simon Tien Hansen’s - Int Ch Dk Swed N Ch Bazinga Gonna Be A Mighty King. When he entered the ring I thought “wow” and he did not disappoint. Superb head and neck with very mobile ears. So well made throughout , he is a stallion hound of noble bearing and graceful and powerful in movement. He also became a Champion today. I could not deny him top spot. He never put a foot wrong and has that “Look at Me” attitude. RESERVE was the Greyhound Koulermou & Knauber’s - Int Ch NL Ch DK Ch UK VDH Bel Ina's Fashion Desira This bitch has a lovely head and expression. She has a wonderful long neck and exudes elegance and power both standing and on the move. Deep in body with strong quarters which she uses so well. Good tight knuckled feet and strong legs. She was in superb condtion. 3rd was Roberts’ Ch Swansford Gregorydor the Long Haired Dachshund. Great young dog with an excellent head and neck, super front and keel .Good tight feet and well ribbed. So well made which shows in his movement as he glides round the ring. In super coat and condition. Finally 4th The Basenji Dunsdon’s - Ch Mawali Four Get Me Not . I awarded this youngster Best Puppy in Breed at the Championship Show last year and since when she has become a worthy champion. Correct head with an aristocratic expression. Lovely arched neck. She has correct length of leg and is a lovely specimen of the breed who moved out with style.
