Joint Shih Tzu Clubs Championship Show

I would like to thank the Committee & Officers of the Hosting Club , the Northern Counties Shih Tzu Club for the invitation to judge this Show . I would also like to thank my capable and efficient Stewards Jackie and Tom .

I was very happy with my principal winners who had the specific breed points I was looking for - Sturdy, well balanced, broad heads with soft arrogant expressions and who could move with good reach and a driving rear action. On the downside some exhibits had untypical heads with bad nose placement , no width between the eyes and narrow jaws which gives the wrong expression. Some exhibits were also lacking in width and depth of chest. In the lower classes some exhibits were also very long in back .

MPD (5:2) 1st Turner’s ROSSVALE FANTASTIC DREAM AT CHARONNIS

8 month old solid gold with a nice balanced outline. Beautiful head, dark round eyes, tip tilted nose,wide jaw and enough chin to give the desired warm soft expression. He has a deep chest and round rib cage of a good length and keeps his shape on the move. In well presented coat. Pleased to award him BPIS.

2nd Flack’s ROTTSHIPHAS LUCIFER MR V (TAF)

6 month old G&W with a broad head, dark eyes,tip tilted nose and wide jaw giving a soft expression. Good depth of chest and well placed shoulders leading to a level top line. He moves well with a touch of arrogance. Well handled and presentation.

3rd Fairley & Brown’s ROSSVALE WILDEST DREAM

PD (3:0) 1st Gilkes ZEEVA COOL DUDE

10 month old G&W of a nice shape and balance. He has a beautiful head with a dark eye and excellent mouth. Well bodied with a deep chest and round rib cage . Moves with a good reach and rear driving action . Well presented.

2nd Provost’s PALIDEN MAGIC STAR

10 month old G&W with good head proportions, dark eyes and wide jaw. Strong neck deep fore chest and well ribbed. Moved confidently.

3rd Cutts & Smith’s SENOUSI DRESSED LIKE HIM

JD (3:1) 1st Stevens PEEKIN REGGIE REBEL TU

14 month old G&W of a good size and shape. He has a masculine head,dark eye and wide jaw. Good depth of chest and well ribbed of a good length. Level top line and god tail set. Moved well.

2nd Willett’s DEBEAUX MACKESON

14 month old B&W. He is well balanced with a masculine head. Well muscled hindquarters. Moved effortlessly around the ring with good reach and drive.

YD (2:0) Scott’s SANTOSHA EXCALIBUR

1st. G&W with the most beautiful head and expression. Good width between dark eyes, tip tilted nose and wide jaw. Strong neck, good depth of chest, round rib cage and level top line. Sturdy with good bone . Moved well with good driving action.

2nd Stevens PEEKIN JAZZ A TAZZ TU

G&W with a good head ,dark eye and wide jaw. Well bodied with a deep chest and a rib cage of a good length and strong loin. Moved soundly.

2nd Moore & Casentieri’s EMERSON ALPIU SLENIS (Imp. LTU) JW SHCEX OSW

2 yr old Black & Tan. Moved well and in good presented coat but did not have the specific head points as the winner.

1st G&W of a good shape and balance. He has a broad head,dark eye and wide jaw giving him warm soft expression. Well Bodied with deep chest and round rib cage. Very good presentation. Moved well.

2nd. Skawskas MAPIMAKSTAR JASON MIO

B&W with a broad masculine head and dark eyes. Strong neck and level top-line with a good depth of chest, well ribbed back and muscular hindquarters. Moved well.

3rd. Petheans ISSIHOUSE SON AND HEIR.

LD (6:2) 1st. Fairley’s SENOUSI DRESSED FOR IT BY FAIRMERE

3 yrs old solid gold with a super head. Good width between round dark eyes, tip tilted nose and wide jaw giving the desired soft and arrogant expression . He is sturdy in body with a good depth of chest and round rib cage. He has substance and good bone. He is well balanced with a shape and outline which shouts Shih Tzu. Excellent presentation DCC & RBIS

2nd Mathews MATSHA JAMBAYLA

B&W of a lovely size & shape. Masculine head with dark round eyes, good nose placement and wide jaw giving a pan arrogant expression. Good depth of chest and lovely arched neck, level top line & correct tail set. Moved with reach & drive keeping his shape. Excellent presented coat.

3rd. Longstaff’s SHIMALI SOLAR FLARE

1st. 2 yr old G&W balanced dog with a masculine head and soft expression. Dark round eye and excellent mouth. Good depth of chest ,firm shoulders, level top line and correct tail set. He covers the ground with ease with good reach and driving rear action. In beautiful presented coat. RDCC

G&W with a good shape and balance. Masculine head with dark eyes and good nose placement. In good condition with with deep chest and round rib cage. In beautiful presented coat.

Nice shape on the move but would like her a touch smaller. She has a lovely feminine head with a dark eye, good nose placement and wide jaw. Nicely arched neck and round rib cage. In good presented coat.

2nd. Dolphin’s DOLHA’S STEP OUT IN STYLE.

Solid gold with a broad feminine head and arrogant expression. Good nose placement and wide, slightly undershot jaw. Strong arched neck, level top line,deep chest and round rib cage. In well presented coat.

3rd. Howard’s CH: TAMERON MISS BLACK ORCHID.

VB (2:0) 1st. Howard’s CH: TAMERON MISS BLACK OPIUM.

Easy to see why she is the breed record holder. 8 year old B&W with a lovely balanced outline. Sturdy in body with good depth of chest, level top line and correct tail set. She stands giving an arrogant attitude and glides around the ring with good reach and strong rear action keeping her lovely shape. Immaculate presentation. BIS BVIS BCC.
