Northern Kerry Blue Club

Breed: Kerry Blue Terrier

I thoroughly enjoyed my day at the 75th anniversary show. Some lovely puppies and two excellent Open classes. Thanks to all of the Officers and Committee for the invitation and warm welcome. Special thanks also to Bob Blackley my excellent steward.

 Veteran Dog or Bitch

1 Peter’s Cranmoss Zeus. Head of good length, strong jaw. Good bone with strong straight legs and neat, well padded feet. Could carry a little less weight and be a bit more animated. His jacket is a good texture and colour. Best Veteran in Show.

 Beginners Dog or Bitch

1 Daly’s Pretty Boy Floyd. Well balanced, alert and keen. Pleasing head and expression, strong jaw. Good neck which he uses to advantage. Still needs to fill out and mature. Very good profile action. His coat is a good texture and the colour is clearing nicely.

 Dogs

 Minor Puppy

1 Christian’s Torum Toplino. Lots of promise here. Excellent temperament – spirited and game. Very pleasing head with length and depth of jaw. Well set ears, nicely arched neck of good length. Well ribbed for age with decent depth of brisket. Moved a little wide behind but impressed in profile.

 Puppy

1 Torum Toplino

 Open

1 Ramsay’s Montealtos Allrise at Torum. CC. Reserve BIS. Lively and spirited, strong and masculine but not a hint of coarseness. Strong jaw, small keen eye, excellent neck and shoulders. Quite compact with good depth of brisket and ribs extend well back. Strong well angulated hindquarters gave him some power on the move once he settled. High set, well carried tail. Good textured jacket.

2 Davani & Potts’ Ch Dandy Black & Blue Niko at Kebulak. Reserve CC. Excellent coat and colour. Strong masculine head of good length. Good forehand, neat, well padded feet. Adequate depth of brisket and good body. Moved well with particularly good hind action.

3 Soltan’s Ch Kerrydom Court Perdor

 Bitches

 Minor Puppy

1 Ramsay’s Torum’s Affinia. Quite an accomplished showgirl for one so young. Attractive head with keen expression, punishing jaw and very good ears. Mature in body and rib for age. Strong hindquarters. Short from hock to heel. Moved well. Good quality jacket.

2 Baxter’s Croftsblu The Nipper. Less settled than the winner on the move but she is very pleasign to handle

2 Wilkinson’s Cyane Ribver at Cranmoss

 Puppy

1 Davani & Potts’ Kebulak Killer Queen. Best Puppy. Compactly built and presents a very pleasing outline. Good skull, strong jaw. Excellent forehand with nicely arched neck and some depth of brisket. Strong, well angulated hindquarters and her hind action was exemplary.

2 Rafter’s Rafsco Annie Get Ya Gun. Nicely made and very typical all through. Good head and expression. Strong bone with neat feet. Well ribbed, just a fraction longer in loin than the winner. Excellent temperament and shown in a good jacket. Very good profile action.

 Limit

1 Prendergast’s Lakki Kerri Pride With Glory. Good skull and strong jaw. Well boned with good feet. Decent depth of brisket and strong, compact well ribbed body with good topline and well set tail. Paced a little on the move. She’s a good colour and her jacket is a pleasing texture.

 Open

A lovely class.

1 Quigg’s Irisblu Indigo at Torum. CC & BIS. A top quality bitch, lovely head with keen, alert expression. Nicely crested neck and excellent forehand with good depth of brisket. Strong, well ribbed compact body. Well muscled and nicely angulated hindquarters. Moved out with a very easy, powerful action. Excellent jacket. I gather this was her third CC. Congratulations.

2 Davies & Birch’s Ch Perrisblu Obsession. Reserve CC. Ultra smart and her good jacket was presented in top form. Clean head of good length, strong jaws. Strong, nicely arched neck and well laid shoulders. Short coupled and well ribbed. Impressed on the move.
