Midland Counties Canine Society

Breed: Gundog Group

I would like to thank the committee for the invitation to judge my third Gundog Group also my co-judges for sending some super BOB's through for me to go over and not making my task an easy one.

I made a shortlist of 10 which included the Brittany "Sh Ch Bonapartist Pickpocket", Gordon Setter Sh Ch Flaxheath Top Model At Glenmaurangi", Hungarian WireHaired Vizsla "Ch Enryb Simply Red", Irish Setter "Sh Ch Riverbrue Gloriana", Golden Retriever " Abinvale Firestorm (ai)", Irish Water Spaniel "Sh Ch Stanegate Stage Debut (ai)", all good specimens of their breeds and performed well. My final 4 were,

G1 Weimaraner, Alcorn & Ingram's "Sh Ch Gunalt Hendricks", He is all male with no coarseness, well proportioned body with good height to length ratio, plenty of substance, his movement is so effortless as he just glides around the ring, covering the ground well moving at the correct speed and at one with his handler.

G2 Pointer Thirlwell & Malik's,"Sh Ch Sharnphilly Santa Rosa", she was on top form today, very feminine all through, presented a lovely profile on the stack and on the move, her movement was so free and true with super foot fall and tail action.

G3 Flat Coated Retriever, Anderson's "Sh Ch Feldkirk Dior Of Kazval", lovely balanced girl, in super condition, good substance with ample bone, covered the ground with purpose and moved at the correct pace giving lovely profile movement with good tail action

G4 American Cocker, Bryant, Nelson & Morris'"Sh Ch/Am/Ir Ch Silhouette Troubling Nasailleen With Mycalleys" , At 7 years he is a credit to his owners, in super condition with plenty of substance under that well presented coat, strong rear which allows him to drive round the ring with ease at one with his handler.
