BATH CHAMPIONSHIP SHOW

May 2022

I’d like to thank the committee for the invitation to judge at this lovely well run show, also my two very efficiant stewards who worked tirelessly all day to keep the ring running smoothly.

COLLIE (SMOOTH)

Puppy Dog

1st Stannard; Constella Black Rye Galaxy; 9 months old, nice proportions with good head and nice ear placement, good forequarters and nice length of back, hindquarters just need time to develop muscle tone, little excitable on the move just needs time, BPD.

Yearling Dog

1st Riva; Manordeifi Rock On; nice clean wedge shaped head, eyes set obliquely, ears still a little loose, good length to neck and good forequarters, would prefer a slightly deeper chest but still only young and this will come with maturity, back of good length and well angulated hindquarters, tight feet, once settled moved well.

Post Grad Dog

1st Flower; Breckamore Peaky Blinder At Lyndaryn; clean blunt wedge shaped head, soft expression, nicely tipped ears, correct bite, well arched neck on well placed shoulders with good depth of chest and ribs well sprung, good length of back with strong loin, well muscled hindquarters with good bend of stifle, well padded feet, moved steadily.

2nd Riva; Manordeifi Rock On; winner of last class, more settled in this class.

Limit Dog

1st Howard; Jack Mack’s Va Buidhinn Of Shandlmain (Imp Deu); nice head with well placed ears although would prefer them to be slightly more tipped forward, good length of neck on well laid shoulders with nice depth of chest, firm back and strong over loin with good rear angulation, steady and effortless on the move.

2nd Martin; Shandlmain Blu Chief; masculine dog with nice head shape and nice overall proportions, just didn’t show himself off.

Open Dog

1st Naulls; Ch Wynele Indian Ink; loved his clean lines, nothing exaggerated and looked capable of doing a day’s work if called for, well developed head with good muzzle, dark almond eyes obliquely set, correct bite, good under jaw, well arched neck with good lay back of shoulders, deep chest and well sprung ribs, firm back and gentle rise over loin with good rear angulation, hocks well let down and well padded feet, very light and graceful on move, DCC, in challenge just preferred the bitch’s slightly more ground covering movement but a very close decision.

2nd Smith; Uk, Port, Esp, Gib Ch Winter Is Coming To Tentola (re Imp); in excellent condition, very masculine, good strong blunt wedge shaped head, eyes set obliquely of correct shape, ears alert all the time, correct bite, strong neck and good shoulder placement with good depth of chest, strong firm top-line and length of back, well muscled hindquarters and hocks well let down, movement was steady and effortless, RDCC.

3rd; Loader, Gill and Loader; Ch Coneypark Countdown For Allangill;

Sp Beg D/B

1st Carpenter; Bedlamridge Misty Morning; feminine bitch, nice head and expression, good eye shape, correct bite with good under jaw, strong neck and well laid shoulders, good length of back and well muscled hindquarters allowed steady movement.

Veteran Bitch

1st Benton; Oakstella Venus De Milo VW; 8 year old who shows no sign of ageing, beautifully balanced and definitely not looking like a veteran, with good skull and foreface, dark almond shaped eyes obliquely set with soft expression, well placed ears with good width at base, muscular neck on well placed shoulders with good depth of chest and well sprung ribs, strong over loin, muscular hindquarters and feet well padded. Smooth and effortless on the move and pushed hard for CC, RBCC and BVIB.

2nd Beeney; Ryecombe Jolly Jonquil At Coneypark; 9 years old, again still lovely balanced bitch, just not so light on her feet as 1st.

1st Naulls; Wynels Obsession; 10 months old, steady confident young female, good head proportions with correct bite, eyes obliquely set and good ear carriage, strong neck and well laid shoulders, good length of back and depth of chest, strong over loin with well muscled hindquarters, moved steadily, BPB and BPIB

2nd Richardson; Lizoni Va Va Voom; similar to 1st in profile but at the moment just not quite the muscle tone, lovely feminine head and lovely overall shape, sound easy movement and push 1st hard.

Post Grad Bitch

1st Richardson; Koczkodan Sweet Dreams Of Lizoni; feminine bitch, wedge shaped head with nicely tipped ears, dark obliquely set eyes, moderate arch of neck on well placed shoulders with good depth to chest and ribs well sprung, firm back with strong loin and good rear angulation with plenty of muscle tone, well bent stifle and hocks well let down, feet well padded, her steady ground covering movement won her this class.

2nd Carpenter; Bedlamridge Misty Morning; winner of special beginners.
