Pointer
I would like to thank all exhibitors for giving me such a lovely entry of Pointers to judge on the day. The males were judged outdoors whilst the bitches were judged under the tent due to heavy rain. It is amazing that the UK shows have both facilities if needed. It was my first time judging Pointers in the UK and I thoroughly enjoyed it with a lot of high quality dogs. In general I think there were many very breed typical heads, good toplines and angulations. A point of concern in my opinion are the ribcages, I found too many almost pear-shaped ribcages or without correct spring of ribs. I was very pleased with my winners and it was lovely to see my BOB being placed 4th in the big Gundog Group under the highly respected Mike Gadsby of the Afterglow fame.
